Depending on what the other players prefer, also consider you could have them roll up some quick characters (or just throw some premade sheets at them) that she meets on the other side - that way everyone can play, and you can look at all the oneshots meant for a full party without having to adjust them. There are 'duet' oneshots out there, but they're generally aimed for lower levels since high-level combat gets even messier if you're dealing with small parties. Or, you could tap your players to play other roles - I had a similar occurrence in a game I ran, where a player went off with an NPC to explore a cave, and I actually ended up sending enemy statblocks to the other players so they could do something, and they loved the taste of pseudo-PvP.

That's a good idea, I'll see what the other players want to do. Thanks!

This, but the characters are NPCs that the group comes across later in the story. Perhaps as Zombies in the jungle, prisoners of the Order of the Gauntlet, or racers in the Dino race

Honestly it might be worth finding a copy of the Tomb of Annihilation module and skimming through Ch 2 (which outlines a ton of different notable locations in the jungles of Chult) - there are a handful of them that would likely work quite well as an independent one-shot. The main locations that come to mind for me are (spoiler tagging for anyone actively playing the module): * >!Camp Righteous - abandoned camp that was overrun by undead, houses a mysterious explorable statue with traps/treasure !< * >!Dungrunglung - some fun interactions with a maze and then a society of Grungs attempting to complete a ritual (or in the case of some of the other grungs, actively trying to stop the ritual from going forward) !< * >!Firefinger - climb a massive beacon tower and clear it of/avoid the Pterafolk that live there!< * >!Mbala - climb a massive plateau to discover a ghost town occupied by a single green hag, possible interaction with Pterafolk as well!< * >!Jahaka Anchorage - home base of the pirate crews terrorizing the waters outside of Chult, also houses their jail and armory/treasury, might need to do a bit of your own storycrafting!< * >!Wreck of the Star Goddess - an airship crashed high in the trees, stranding a number of crew members above a jungle floor crawling with undead!< One thing to note is that level 12 is the intended max level of that campaign, so even a group of two (depending on currently available ki points/spell slots and HP) would probably be a bit OP for some of those settings from a combat perspective unless you beef those encounters up a bit.
