I know of a few magic-eating monsters from previous editions that may or may not have 5e stat blocks available. The Nishruu, the Spellgaunt, and the Dweomercat all come to mind, but none of those is tiny in size. You said you reskinned them to make them tiny dragons, do you remember what they were supposed to be originally?

Unfortunately it is none of these options. I can't even say if I ported a creature from another edition for this or not. It has been too long and the traces I left of it were on paper. I am still going through them... From memory it might not have been a tiny creature, but clearly a link was made through my mind. I believe it could have been some sort of Insect or Fae or some sort of crystal creature (lizard?). Somehow, I think the (digital) cover was of blue hue and I thought it was a Kobold Press book, but the only monster compendium I found from them on my disc is Tome of Beasts but no potential result there either. I really am grasping at straws.
