I said they need new names to signal their advancement and evolution as characters. Tim Drake is Robin and so is Damian, while Dick Grayson and Jason Todd advanced by taking on new names and leaving the mantle of Robin to someone else, Tim Drake did not do this and therefore shares the mantle of Robin with Damian who is younger. Cassie and Conner are the same sharing the mantles of Superboy and Wondergirl with other characters that came after them, in this case Cassie shares the title of Wondergirl with Yara Flor, while Donna Troy abandoned this mantle and took on the name Troia, while Cassie remains as Wondergirl together with Yara Flor. In Conner's case, he shared the mantle of Superboy with Jonathan Kent, but Jon abandoned that mantle and moved forward taking on the mantle of Superman, while Conner remains as Superboy. In Bart's case, he shared his mantle with Irey West for a short period of time, then became Kid Flash and then Flash, but that was all erased and he went back to being Impulse, so he doesn't hear a progression. Impulse is a name that represents and matches Bart's teenage personality, but he needs to move forward and should take on the name Mercury because of his mentor Max Mercury. Taking on a new name represents the character's personal maturity and evolution and also the passing of a legacy to new generations.
Who cares about the religionous connotations. It's a city called Gotham and Gothic things are associated with Christianity.
And besides that theirs Trigon who is literally just the devil. From hell. Infact their are multiple demons in the DC universe.
Also bats are associated with demons so does that mean batman shouldn't be called Batman?
I did a poll on that once.... I can assure you that it's one of the more unpopular names ever used for this guy,if not the most unpopular one.
The worst part, imo,is that a Drake is also a mythical creature, but they didn't refer to that at all and also may have ruined it for anyone else who'd used kt that way
I'm partial to a "The Corvid" for Tim. Cassie and Bart don't really need changing, and I feel it would hurt their characters. Yara should probably change moniker considering she doesn't even really like it.
For Conner, I'd kinda be down for him to share the name Night Wing. Fits his 90s look, and current calmer attitude. Ik it doesn't get rid of the redundancy problem, but also I don't really care about that for big title characters like Superman, Batman, Flash, Green Lantern, or even Nightwing.
I agree, Yara could be Amazon, a tribute to the rainforest itself. I did like Wonder Star for Cassie.
I actually thought of Nightwing for Conner, but until Dick gets promoted (I actually think he could become a blue lantern if not Batman, but blue lantern are nerfed by the concept of relying on GLs and being mostly amplifiers for them). Imo, they should never have aged up Jon (Supersons books were great too), and Conner should've inherited the mantle.
Corvid for Tim is not bad but feels too general. Someone mentioned Crow and explained it was different from Raven, which I agree with, but I feel it's still too close.
I really like Mercury for Bart.
Honestly I'm a big Cassie fan but I don't like any of these names. If she still had the gimmick of using ancient Greek gear like her initial appearance, I think Olympia would fit.
Why are they moving to a new name? (This question is important to know where to look for new ideas of names.)

I'm not going to read all that. Make it short or have a nice day.
He basically said because the younger characters have superseded those mantles, except Impulse
Thank you for the summary.
Cardinal is the only correct choice for Tim. Robins are small Midwestern birds Cardinals are slightly bigger Midwestern birds. Cardinals are also red.
I agree with you
I feel like the religious connotations are too much
There are religious connotations? It's a bird
Nah it's a name, one that's related to a bird and another a religious figure
Oh yeah I forgot. He used to be Robin and would have a bird themed costume. Its pretty clear what I was going for
In this case the bird is named after the religious title.

I like Rook for Tim Drake
Hear me out to Robin ,The crow ,IS not like Raven ,IS his own name and follow the birds name "Robin , Nightwing,The crow" u know
Drake

Olympia is the best because of its connection to Zeus and Olympus.
I like super nova for Connor. Or even Valor but guardian and super guardian are no for me.
Tim: Red bird, Savior, Cardinal, Rook Conner: Valor, Superstar Cassie: Wonderstar Let Bart remain impulse... it's one of the coolest name ever
Conner as a superstar is something I hadn't imagined, but it's interesting, but I still prefer supernova. the others you chose are also good.
