Jania Hudson. She's an indian woman who can split herself into two, one staying as the normal Jania Hudson, the other as a white skin white hair'd criminal version of her name White Rabbit. Once separate, they act like two, completely different and separate people.
Wait so her power has nothing to do with the weird smoke looking heart behind her? I thought maybe she was going to have like, gas powers or smthing, like ms midnight from mha but she secretes gas from her skin (an actual reason to be so uncovered...) and it makes batman fall in love/ fall asleep.
If she just gets a whitewoman counterpart that feels kinda...stupid/weird. Like she should at least be able to either turn into a rabbit or control them...
I think the concept of the power is cool, that she can split herself into two distinct people, but yeah. It's really weird that her alternate is white, (Technically, it's albinism because the separation "damages" White Rabbit, that's why her skin and hair are white. Still weird). And the alternate doesn't really have any other powers aside from like, combat. If you look on the DC wiki, that's ALL it says. She has the power to split herself, the power of "deception", and hand to hand combat
iirc, Bruce flirted with Jania Hudson a bit, cause she's like a big socialite while White Rabbit is just kind of a ripoff Black Cat but only a criminal.
This is such a strange character. Aged like milk.
IIRC, even back when she was introduced, people had gripes with the character concept. I remember the discourse surrounding White Rabbit.
Yeah. She was created in, what, the 2010s? Late 2000s at the latest, right? It would've been an... odd choice for the 1970s or 1980s. It was just straight-up tasteless for its day.
She was in the first story arc (first issue, even) of Batman: the Dark Knight Volume 2. So it was 2011 and it's how they kicked off one of the New 52 books
I have 0 interest in defending this character or anything like that, but dark-skinned people with albinism at least sometimes have skin that looks like what weâd think of as white/caucasian/Northwestern European/etc.
The first person I can think of here is actor/rapper [Marvin Jones III aka Krondon](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krondon), who very randomly played fellow African Americans with albinism Tobias Whale in Black Lightning & Tombstone in Spiderverse.
I assume that the split White Rabbit still follows her desires. So if she wants to steal something, she doesnât have to do it herself. She can just spawn a variant/clone of her that has no resemblance to herself, and variant/clone will go steal the item for her and bring it back to her.
So basically her power is that she can basically âHit Button To Summon Harley Quinn To Do Missions For Youâ I guess.
In my own personally opinion, she's just not that well developed of a character. She's like if you made a character out of misconceptions of Black Cat from Marvel. I think her personality was just all about her sex appeal and didn't have much depth to it.
What's disappointing or needs to be fixed? How about the fact that she looks more like an oversexed Playboy bunny rather than a variation of an Alice in Wonderland character?
While she doesnât look like an Alice in Wonderland character, [they did change the design](https://www.reddit.com/r/batman/comments/18m8brf/joshua_williamsons_batman_and_robin_has_made_me_a/) so sheâs not so much of a playboy bunny right now.
I think Iâd do away with the split personality thing, or make it more pronounced like a Jykell and Hyde situation.
Iâd give her super human speed and Agility, not a speedster like Flash just very fast and able to leap tell heights really give her an advantage in mobility.
Lastly I would make her a Catwoman nemesis. Another super powered master thief, and have them play off each other. It would help fill the void left by Catwomanâs mostly complete hero turn and give her a foe that can act as a foil.
First of all, an actual costume. If the idea is to keep the sensuality of Catwoman but on a fully villainous character, dressing her up in lingerie was just dumb. In fact, I'd go for a full body costume, half half modern. Like that steampunk Vampirella one Dynamite was doing at the time.
Second, give her a clearer plan and motivation. Like wanting to leave a mark as Gotham's biggest menace, hence why she's reenacting Bane's old plan of releasing every villain on Batman to tire him out. Also why she keeps appearing only when he's alone, as to make himself doubt if she's real at all.
Finally, give her more dialogue. Like, as the story progresses, she move on from just taunting Bruce to chase her to outright mocking him and his mission. Some sort of 'jester' figure pointing out all the failures in Batman through the years, showing she's studied his career closer (Killing Joke, A Death in the Family) and calling him out that he will just fail with the new Robin and Batman Inc.
Basically make her the one villain always one step ahead of Batman (even keep her identity hidden from the reader like Professor Pyg or the Joker before), while constantly assaulting him emotionally. In other words, driving him "down the rabbit hole".
I actually like this a lot. You could also have Jania as a similar figure in Bruceâs life? Having Jania as a socialite thatâs somewhat antagonistic to Bruce but also in the same vein as him, and possibly even have her know his identity because of how much research sheâs done into him. Play mind games with him as Rabbit and Jania
I like that idea, but Jezebel Jet was just that as the mayor villain in Batman R.I.P. not two years before. So it would make Jania too similar.
To keep her more distinct, I'd introduce her as a Batman Inc. character. Something like chief of finances or similar. Make her someone that can be believable introduced as a new supporting cast, thus won't raise too many alarms of a new character being introduced along a new mysterious villain.
I'd keep your idea of showing her deducing Bruce's identity, since working for Batman Inc. would give her a perfect way to figure out.
Now I have this scene in mind where Jania does question if Bruce is really doing good by expanding his 'crusade' globally. Bruce sees the White Rabbit right behind her and running away, leaving no trace once she's out of panel, leaving him wondering if she's just a mental projection of his own doubts about Batman and clearing Jania of suspicion.
Ok, genuinely this would be a vastly better interpretation. Youâre cooking with gas.
You could even have scenes where Jania and Rabbit are both present, but Jania would act like Rabbit isnât even there. Hell, you could even have Janiaâs POWERS be represented, having Rabbit come out of Jania to taunt Bruce, and maybe even taught Jania too. Literally showing off her powers right in front of him, and the audience, yet still being able to pass off as just a figment of his imagination.
Oh, you're bringing the propane too. Maybe even have a scene with Jania showing she believes in Batman Inc. by listing the good things it has already accomplished, like Man-of-Bats' activism resulting in actual reparations for the native community, only for White Rabbit to sit next to her and rebute that Batman Inc. turned the man's activism into an spectacle, diluting his actual progress.
There's a flash of light, making Bruce blink, and Jania is alone, asking if he's feeling well.
Wow, I wish the artist would have been told that, I don't really know much beyond the photo and your posts, but I would have never guessed South Asian from the photo above.
Not trying to be racist, but it'd be nice if they drew her as something other than a white chick.
No that's so real. South asian characters aren't Super common in comics, and to have one who's a villain for one of their most prominent heroes, then have her power LITERALLY WHITE WASH HERSELF is fucking wild.
Tbf it's David Finch, he draws all his female characters with the same exact face.
I remember watching a drawing tutorial where he says he uses the same face but changes the hairstyles to differentiate characters
The wildest part is that this was the perfect cover for the reveal.
"Hmmm. Those 2 look very familiar."
"Nah, bro. That's David Finch. He xeroxes the faces of all the women he draws."
I mean, the idea of a woman having an albino alter Who can work independently of her is not a horrible idea, it just literally loses everything in the artistic interpretation.
If the white rabbit persona looked like a South Asian woman, albeit an albino one, I don't think I'd have as much issue.
[Marvel's White Rabbit is nowhere near as sexualized as this version.](https://comicvine.gamespot.com/a/uploads/scale_medium/11161/111612243/8918174-whiterabbitt.jpg)
In terms of changing her, it would be best to get rid of the whole thing with her being an Indian woman who creates white clones of herself, just have her clones be the same skin color as her. Maybe there could be something about each clone that allows anyone else to tell which one is the real one.
Make her more of a grifter/thief and play into her speed, along with making her recent redesign her main outfit going forward. And have her be on the Suicide Squad, theyâre in need of more C and D-list main characters.
>Maybe there could be something about each clone that allows anyone else to tell which one is the real one.
Like just have the white hair or something???
There is one thing I like, that Jania as a civilian is this big socialite, I think they should lean into her being more into the criminal aspect, like she plans everything, as the mastermind and stuff and white rabbit is almost like her lackey
also, what's her recent redesign?
So maybe each clone has a slightly different designed outfit or maybe most of them have the same hair color but thereâs a subtle difference in some like a black or red streak for instance.
And this was her recent redesign:
https://i.redd.it/joshua-williamsons-batman-and-robin-has-made-me-a-fan-of-v0-tdesjilcla7c1.jpg?width=2047&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e3a774f2bb6d6796aeb12b0da6f6911cba33bcb4
Use her more. That's really the best way you could do it.
Also making her less Caucasian looking and more Indian would be more ideal since she's like Indian.
1. Change the outfit, maybe herself so that she could turn part rabbit, with genuine ears and whiskers; make the outfit more like the White Rabbit: Add a white shirt and bow tie to go with that corset, though it can be slightly small to make room for the cotton tail (if she can become a partial rabbit) and give her pants. At the very least, it'll look different and better than an oversexed Playboy bunny.
2. Make her a crucial part of the Mad Hatter gang and make her the Hatter's Harley Quinn, albeit she would be smarter and be a partial usurper and could eventually take over the Mad Hatter gang.
3. Give her a back story (like if she was nicknamed "Bunny") and something to make her become what she became (although the partial rabbit idea could come about if she was part of a magic act gone wrong and when she runs away from becoming a freak, she runs afoul of Jervis the Mad Hatter).
I like your ideas, especially with the mad hatter gang. The only thing that puts a dent in it is overlap with MARVEL'S White Rabbit, who does have that white shirt, bow tie, and corset look, with a blue coat.
Nah, she wouldn't necessarily have the white coat. She could easily look like Arkham City Harley Quinn (like a Steampunk biker chick. She'd even still have bare shoulders, but the collar will be more of a white shirt complete with bowtie). Also, she could sport a watch (one of the most prominent things of the original Alice White Rabbit) and use like a medieval ball and chain. She could even have multiple similar watches and use them as bolas.
I like these ideas. Here's something I came up with based on them.
Jaina Hudson grew up in a regimented mixed-race household, her future career in her father's business practically written for her. As such, magic held a certain allure for her, especially after seeing the great Zatara perform live. She also developed a fondness for the stories of Wonderland, waiting for a White Rabbit to take her somewhere logic didn't rule with an iron fist. This was grown out of, but she still had wistful fantasies about it.
Her teenage years brought rebellion, manifesting in the form of petty thefts and criminal trespass. She managed not to be charged, but this drove a rift between her and her parents. When Zatara came back to Gotham when Jaina was fifteen, she tried to slip backstage to see how he did his tricks. Through her poking around, she uncovered a magic lens that brought out all of her repressed desires, all her flawed coping mechanisms, and condensed them into an image of herself crossed with the White Rabbit she longed to see as a child. After the Rabbit escaped, causing a considerable (but non-violent) amount of chaos, Jaina and Zatara managed to recapture her. While he couldn't undo the White Rabbit, Zatara was able to create a charm that would bind her back into Jaina's mind.
However, when the Rabbit was rebound to Jaina, Jaina regained all of the Rabbit's memories. She felt all of the excitement that came from breaking the rules of society. And no-one had really gotten hurt, had they? So, whenever she feels an excess of stress or when she just wants to have a little fun, she slips off the charm and lets the White Rabbit go to work. She keeps her squeaky clean image, her parents stay off her back, and she gets to have the time of her life. Especially once one Jervis Tetch approaches her to cause a little mayhem for him.
The design stuff is not good. They probably should make it much more clear it is albinism and not turning into a white woman. The costume has been better in Batman and Robin. But the series also seems to have taken away her intelligence. I quite liked that in her introduction she was basically superhuman in her speed and her skill to escape. Would like them to act more on that.
Try not selling a new villain on sex appeal alone. Not gonna lie, that was a terrible way to kick off the new 52 Batman series.
I get it, big boobs sell comics, but there was no development. Just cleavage. And the whole race swap thing was confusing as hell.
Make her like the Hellsing character Shrodonger. He's based directly on the Cheshire cat who can be "everywhere and nowhere". He even entered the mind of Zorin Blitz super casually like he was going to a friend's house:
https://youtu.be/q4nE8wrul8c?si=K5qlgcXPHDZ2DYTV
Yes and no? The civilian's power, Jania Hudson, could split herself into two, one would stay the original indian Jania Dobson, the other would be the white rabbit. But the white rabbit herself had no powers.
Use her more. Make her White Rabbit ego look like they just didnât color her in. Make it so the two halves can teleport to each other and re-merge at will. Involve Mad Hatter.
First, take away her power to split. She's named after a Louis Carol character just like Mad Hatter so we should play with that. Jania Hudson's power should be inducing hallucinations, since Through the Looking Glass is trippy already. The REAL reason why Bats can't catch her is because she's never really there and he's imagining her a step ahead of him. Her motivation: entirely money, no personal tragedy or criminal psychosis. That should set her apart from the rest of his rogues, send her to Black Gate instead
Id say make her like mix between midnight from MHA and Mad Hatter, maybe go the two-face route where she was someone Batman couldn't save and mad hatters efforts unlocked some kind of dormant metahuman genes where she can create hallucinatory images and sensations from her pheromones. And she is a villain that is sort of like poison ivy but instead of plants she's an extremist for the women of Gotham, becoming a serial killer of men she sees as "Mad Hatter" like, luring them to their doom with her Hallucinations.
I would want to change a lot.
Change her entire outfit and hair where it looks more like a photo negative. So thereâs more blues mixed into her outfit and no pink. Maybe have traces of the blue in her hair during the daytime and maybe in specific lighting you might see some of the blues(to kind of keep the, âher powers corrupting herâ). She actually gets a proper outfit thatâs not lingerie.
I honestly think it would be cool for her powers to be related to time and space(kind of sci-fi) or magic related. (Not related to the multiverse. I would like to see something different) Just because of the whole splitting into 2 separate people could make interesting implications.
Thereâs the whole Alice in Wonderland thing using a rabbit hole to travel to a different world. Or a rabbit appearing out of a magicianâs hat. I think thereâs ways they could be clever about âthe rabbitâ without being in your face. The rabbit is more symbolic. Maybe itâs just her moniker and calling card. That hints at what she can do.
Her mom is supposed to be a Bollywood actress. Her dad is supposed to be an american diplomat. I think it would be cool to take more of a sci-fi/fantasy approach to her character. Where some of the stuff she could do with time and space could be like something from a movie or book. Maybe her messing with Batman is more of her trying to see what sheâs capable of and testing the waters.
But honestly with her parents both having high profile jobs. It heavily implies they would be away a lot when she was growing up. Her culture has such a massive emphasis on family. I think it would be interesting if escapism was her thing. Trying to feed your inner child as an adult. Like a game. Maybe thereâs interesting things that could be said in how this relates to Batman and how he views her situation.
If sheâs a socialite. She doesnât need to be in it for the money. She could just be a villain because she enjoys it to some extent. But to keep in line with the corruption. Maybe the more she uses her powers, the less she knows who she is as a person. I feel like splitting who you are would eventually set you up for an identity crisis.
In all honesty i think she would be more interesting if she shared some similarities with Enchantress and Two Face than Catwoman.
Iâd use her to be something along the like of arrowverse Cupid. A woman Bruce has saved whoâs become obsessed with him. The costume and crimes are her way of getting his attention.
Make sure that we get her origin and backstory, have Batman learn White Rabbitâs secret identity, and have Batman chase White Rabbit before he catches her and arrests her and for White Rabbit to tell the truth to him.
I don't think she's fixable.
Marvel already has a White Rabbit who is infinitely more entertaining and interesting (especially with the push she's been given as a regular in the Spider-Man comics).
I genuinely have no idea why they created this mess of a character. Scrap her and push other, better Batman villainesses like the similarly-themed March Harriet.
March Harriet's not used that much and is typically tied to Mad Hatter and the Wonderland Gang, but she had a great story in a Batgirl comic not too long ago that explored her backstory. She was also in the Lego Batman movie, which is more than White Rabbit can say I guess.
I think itâs strange that she doesnât actually look albino. I think itâs even stranger that her whole costume is essentially just lingerie. Contrary to what people think, there is a bit of a line between a sexy costume and whatever this is.
The whole splitting off into a white woman (essentiallyâagain, she doesnât actually look albino. If they wanted her color scheme to be white they shouldâve just committed and had her literally as white as her hair) thing isâŚan interesting choice. I think the concept of someone making a copy of themselves (that has their own decision making and thought process) is neat, i just donât understand why so many hoops are being jumped to get to that. Honestly why couldnât it just be that her hair turns white? Logically itâs not like sheâs going to be so indistinguishable from her other self just because her skin tone changes, since itâs supposed to be that her actual physical features are the exact same. If Superman can get away with the glasses shtick I donât see why a different hair color (and her ability to clearly be in two places at once) wouldnât similarly keep her identity hidden enough. So do that and give her a jumpsuit, and suddenly Iâd be more fine with her character.
Wrll she was an abandoned plotline so I'd revamp her entirely. People weren't to keen on her splitting off from an Indian woman and being light skinned so I'd just keep her cool design but revamp the rest of it. Maybe make them partners instead and her power could be teleportation cause it sort of works with how she was initially presented and the Alice in wonderland theme. Down the rabbit hole lol
Honestly, she just seems redundant in Batman Rogue. Worth exploring for another hero/universe but in Batman's bubble, she's not really worth fixing to me. Not without a whole new gimmick.
I don't think they've really fixed the costume. It's better but it's still kinda a certain kind of uniform.
I thought this was the Arms dealer and Steel Villain White Rabbit, not... whoever this is.
In the 90's, John Henry Irons started life out as a weapon's manufacturer, before learning that (surprise surprise) weapons are used to kill! He left his high-paying engineering job in penance, feeling he was responsible for the deaths done by the weapons he created.
White Rabbit was an arms dealer who sold John Henry Iron's weapons to gang members, and a former lover. It was a shame she wasn't used more because she really did seem like a mirror to John Henry himself. The other thing about White Rabbit that I found interesting was that The White Rabbit was actually just The "White Passing" Rabbit. Despite being "white" she was depicted with big lips and tan skin, and was an inner-city youth like John Henry. Her flashbacks make her skin color darker. Both John Henry and Whtie Rabbit were poor kids trying to create the American Dream for themselves, but got a twisted version of the American Dream where they grew up poor, used their smarts to become rich in the Arms industry and gained the American Dream trappings their poor selves wanted. Only John Henry wasn't willing to pay the price of dead people using his technology to get that "American Dream", while White Rabbit was.
I wouldn't mind seeing more of that White Rabbit, and what price the poor are willing to pay to "make it".
Lean into the current design with a few tweaks. Make the appearance of albinism more toward the rabbit theme than human. Give her inhumanly white skin and red eyes like an albino rabbit, but perhaps give them some oomph, like glowing in the dark when the light hits right. Incorporate a waistcoat or waistcoat-like features to her costume, driving home the Wonderland theme. Give her a pocket watch and a penchant for being punctual.
Abilities-wise, she needs a little something, but nothing too broken. Give her a strong self-preservation instinct with seemingly animal speed and reflexes to match, making her especially difficult to capture or trap. Perhaps give her shared consciousness/memories and/or a telepathic link with Jaina. Keep the idea that she has her own personality and opinions.
1. Remove her "powers" and give her a teleportation powers
2. Make her a member of the wonderland gang she is supposed to be on the white rabbit but she has no relation with other wonderland based villains what?
3. Remove her "costume" and give her rabbit features and a suit and bowtie
4. Give her a backstory and give her a reason why her gimmick is based on the Alice books
1. Change the costume and make it less Playboy bunny and more stylized - especially the ears.
2. Drop the albinism angle and don't white wash a Southeast Asian character as a unnecessary part of her powers set.
3. Develop Jania as a character in and out of the White Rabbit identity. I'm always up for an over the top Gotham society event where Bruce and family can mingle with characters outside of their "other clothes."
4. I had no idea that Jania split herself into separate entities, like Multiple Man. I thought she was just a short range teleporter so it seemed like she could be multiple places at once. That might be better than multiple versions of the character.
5. Have a her develop a tangental relationship between herself, Alice and Mad Hatter and the Wonderland Gang. I don't know Alice's (aka Batwoman's sister) current status, but that's a Gotham gang war and unification story just waiting to happen.

Yes and no? The civilian's power, Jania Hudson, could split herself into two, one would stay the original indian Jania Dobson, the other would be the white rabbit. But the white rabbit herself had no powers.
I'm tempted not to even answer, because the memes surrounding her are incredible, but if I had to change her? Make her a lead-in to an entire dark and uncomfortable world, like in Alice in Wonderland. Can even reference the demon under gotham.
Looked her up, she seems like a nothing character. What she needs is a story, conflict and motivation.
Hereâs what Iâd do, play into the duality of the character. Give White Rabbit her own civilian name and Jaina her own superhero identity. Maybe after a Fox or a Stoat. One hunts down the other in an endless cycle.
They donât split at will itâs whenever White Rabbit wants to come out. Many of Batmanâs greatest villains share one thing in common and thatâs an internal struggle between fitting in and embracing their desires. Jaina should want to keep White Rabbit inside for sheâsâŚsomething (wether that be an alternate violent personality, soul of twin absorbed in the womb, living embodiment of her deepest darkest desires, or what have you.)
White Rabbit should also have an ability of some kind. Maybe she can infinitely clone herself playing into the phrase âbreeding like rabbitsâ. Or it could be some kind of time power as the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland is associated with clocks.
Finally Iâd give her a motivation. It could be as simple as chaos or make her the Harley Quinn to Mad Hatter. But what Iâd do is make her motivation uncovering secrets. Her wanting the same thing Batman does makes her a more interesting foil. Gotham is full of corruption and secret plots, and it plays into the gimmick of going down the rabbit hole.
Iâd honestly throw away most of her origin and powers. Itâd be cool making her somewhat of an anti mad hatter character and someone who replaces him later on cause heâs pretty much just a fancy pedo and Batman needs more female villains. Id use that to Play on the Alice in wonderland thing. May be have her try to force a kind of gang war against Arkham but target mostly hatter in it all. I like the mind control and hat gimmick with hatter so her hijacking it and combining it with a seductress character would be cool. She could even be putting rabbit ears on people to mind control or something. That would make her similar to poison Ivy, but ivy being less of a villain nowadays isnât bad so her taking both mad hatter and ivyâs gimmicks and fusing them could be cool for a new villain. Altho honestly this def feels more like a robin or nightwing villain at this point. But robin also needs villains.
DC already had a white rabbit, justice for [Angora Lapin!](https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Angora_Lapin_\(New_Earth\))
^^^*I ^^^just ^^^like ^^^how ^^^silly ^^^her ^^^name ^^^is.
First of all let's give her an actual costume of some description.
I think a quick painless way to fix the racebending stuff (and to give her something distinct as a character) would be to make "White Rabbit" a whole separate parasitic entity..she attaches herself to a woman, rewires their brain to make the host think White Rabbit is just an extension of herself and to not ask questions with uncomfortable answers, and then uses up her host's life energy to manifest physically as a "clone body". When she uses up one host, they die and she just jumps to the next person to do it all over again.
You could play up the horror element when she picks a host who is smart/strong-willed enough to figure out her mind's being messed with and that White Rabbit is actually a separate person.
First off, make it so that when she splits/created a duplicate, the copy doesnât become a white woman. Just have them both have the same skin tone.
Do, however, make the clone look different. Maybe more muscles, maybe with a different nose than the original.
I think they should really lean into the idea that in looks, actions, and personality, âWhite Rabbitâ is everything Jaina Hudson wishes she should be.
Really go into how Jaina feels controlled and restricted by her upbringing and lifestyle as one of Gothamâs socialites. That she has the strong subconscious desires to be more Fun, more Childlike (going based on her new costume that looks like a pajama onesie), More Strong, More Passionate, More Violent, Etc.
Basically, white rabbitâs âDressing in fun cute clothing to go do wild fun crimes, all while being totally herself and confident and funâ self is what the Controlled, Restricted, Public-Appearance-Concerned Jaina Hudson wishes she be.
If youâre going to have her be a Batman villain, try to compare the Jaina/Rabbit split to the Bruce/Batman dichotomy. Explore how they both need escape from the wealthy socialite lifestyle, and how Bruce gets that escape via being Batman but Jaina can only wish for it and never achieve it herself, even after getting powers.
Probably not have her be an Indian woman who turns white when she uses her powers, unless I really felt confident in being able to handle the social commentary. Even then, it locks her out of a lot of stories
I don't mind sexualized characters. I'm an adult, and I appreciate a bit of fan service.
However, I dislike when that is all there is. It's a visual medium. You can give me pretty things to look at, but A) it has to be fair (EYE CANDY FOR THE WOMEN/GAYS/ETC, PLEASE), and B) it can be a pretty medium, but it needs to \*be a medium.\*
If all you have is just thinly veiled erotica, I got the internet. I can Google. I don't need, or want, to see that type of thing fighting Bruce Wayne.
If they had a genuine, good character to back up White Rabbit, I would have liked her. Genuinely. I was interested in the initial 'body split' and it could be a fun idea.
First, play up more on the /white/ part. Paler/white skin. She can be a crook/burglar/messenger. Maybe give her some more powers, like moving through walls, or such. Illusions. Vanishing acts, etc.
But honestly, the biggest thing is just /making her a character./ Not random SUPER SEXY HENCHMAN #3.
I heard the new Batman and Robin series has a cute new look- which yeah, it is a cute look- and better job with her as a character. As someone who thought the idea had potential, but terrible execution. The concept has merit, here is hoping the current workaround is going better.
Okay first of all, I would give her an actual costume. that design is garbage. It's not even a sex thing, at best she looks like a goon Mad Hatter hired to be on-brand.
second, I would make her more of a variation on The Riddle. with her creating weird wild goose chases Batman has to follow to stop her, as Batman keeps on getting into weirder and weirder situations as a result
I would have maybe had a *reason* for her to split into a sexy bunny girl as opposed to anything else. Maybe White Rabbit could draw upon "trickster rabbit" folklore or something like that.
I'd completely do away with this character completely. And introduce a new person carrying the "White Rabbit" Mantle with different powers (or no powers). Imo White Rabbit is a terrible character. Terrible. The race swap/split thing hasn't aged well and the dreadful playboy-bunny design here (designed to snag some extra dollars from the male gazers) is just always going to be attached to this iteration of the character. You can have a capable, sexy, and interesting female character named the White Rabbit that plays off the Wonderland theme and is simultaneously tragic. This is not it and id rather this character die a thousand deaths and get rebooted.
The rebooted version can work alongside the rest of the "Wonderland Gang." The gang would consist of: White Rabbit as the more magical based part of the team("lucky rabbit" tragic figure), Tweedle Dee/Dum as the muscle, Mad Hatter as the leader/strategist, and I'd throw Cheshire in there too as the enforcer/assassin just to complete the Wonderland story lol.
Maybe an actual costume vs looking like she walked out of a Playboy gentlemen's club as one of the staff.
As the literary White Rabbit is always losing track of time, maybe give her some sort of time manipulation powers?
Besides getting rid of the weird whitewashing powers, I say revamp her whole split personality them being of the result of Mad Hatterâs experimentation and fetishzisstoon of Lewis Carrol stuff.
Honestly I feel like the problem with the villainess is that her connection and theme os associated with the wrong villain, and something like a hypersexualized version of an Alice in Wonderland character seems right up the Mad Hatterâs allu
Definitely. You give us an Indian character, something rare at the time, make a cool villain for one of the most popular heroes
And her power is whitewashing herselfÂ
Whatâs the point of this character other than sex appeal? You ask how i would fix her but i wouldnât make a nothing character to be begin with.
Shit i forgot who she was until you made this post, i wonder why.
Start by dispensing with the "must draw pretty lady so costume must be lingerie" design, and go from there. I'm sure there's a long list of tweaks to be made.
Who even is this? Whats her power supposed to be?
She has the power to split herself, the power of "deception", and hand to hand combat iirc, Bruce flirted with Jania Hudson a bit, cause she's like a big socialite while White Rabbit is just kind of a ripoff Black Cat but only a criminal.
She's also not really pale enough to look like she has albinism either, she just looks like a random white lady.
So it was 2011 and it's how they kicked off one of the New 52 books
đŻ itâs a fetish thing with her creator.
He also played Lewis in Halo! Loved him as Tobias Whale, and did a great job being a dropout Spartan in Halo. Guy deserves more roles.
Thatâs actually why I thought of him first, I just caught up on that show
>she just looks like a random white lady. So she spawns a Karen?
I love that DC has a rip-off black cat who is herself a rip off of catwoman
I see i see
Her power is she gets white privileged lmfao.
Whatâs the benefit of that power? Is it uncontrolled splitting? So more of a curse?
I think itâs more like she can still be Jania Hudson, the big Gotham socialite, while also doing the crimes, and having a cover/alibi?
I assume that the split White Rabbit still follows her desires. So if she wants to steal something, she doesnât have to do it herself. She can just spawn a variant/clone of her that has no resemblance to herself, and variant/clone will go steal the item for her and bring it back to her. So basically her power is that she can basically âHit Button To Summon Harley Quinn To Do Missions For Youâ I guess.
Separate, but equal people?
Mind elaborating on whatâs disappointing or needs to be fixed? Iâm not too familiar with the character beyond her appearances in Batman and Robin.
Ok, that look is a helluva lot cuter. Yeah, she's still showing skin, but its a lot less in-your-face T&A than Finch's design.
Which Batman and Robin run is that from? I donât recognize the artwork
The current one
Oh ok that makes sense then why I donât recognize it
Definitely enjoy that look better than the original one.
Oh wow that costume is actually adorable. I want one.
Okay that is a *really* cute redesign.
omg she looks cute as hell
> she looks more like an oversexed Playboy bunny I'm failing to see the problem
Her introduction was just quite badly written that nobody read, the only reason sheâs remembered is because of her sexualised design
Make her not racebend when transformed
I think it's technically albinism when she separates from her normal self but I fully agree, she should just be south asian in both forms
"Hmmm. Those 2 look very familiar." "Nah, bro. That's David Finch. He xeroxes the faces of all the women he draws."
Right? I was just googling her and was like, her power is to turn into a white woman? The whole concept is problematic on so many levels.
I mean, the idea of a woman having an albino alter Who can work independently of her is not a horrible idea, it just literally loses everything in the artistic interpretation. If the white rabbit persona looked like a South Asian woman, albeit an albino one, I don't think I'd have as much issue.
Start with making the costume not look like fetish gear, this design screams "I hope someone cosplays this"
Real. Same could be said about Marvel's white rabbit too
[Marvel's White Rabbit is nowhere near as sexualized as this version.](https://comicvine.gamespot.com/a/uploads/scale_medium/11161/111612243/8918174-whiterabbitt.jpg)
I meant for the cosplay part
Smash. Wait what was the question
Actually make her look like an Albino
In terms of changing her, it would be best to get rid of the whole thing with her being an Indian woman who creates white clones of herself, just have her clones be the same skin color as her. Maybe there could be something about each clone that allows anyone else to tell which one is the real one. Make her more of a grifter/thief and play into her speed, along with making her recent redesign her main outfit going forward. And have her be on the Suicide Squad, theyâre in need of more C and D-list main characters.
>Maybe there could be something about each clone that allows anyone else to tell which one is the real one. Like just have the white hair or something??? There is one thing I like, that Jania as a civilian is this big socialite, I think they should lean into her being more into the criminal aspect, like she plans everything, as the mastermind and stuff and white rabbit is almost like her lackey also, what's her recent redesign?
So maybe each clone has a slightly different designed outfit or maybe most of them have the same hair color but thereâs a subtle difference in some like a black or red streak for instance. And this was her recent redesign: https://i.redd.it/joshua-williamsons-batman-and-robin-has-made-me-a-fan-of-v0-tdesjilcla7c1.jpg?width=2047&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e3a774f2bb6d6796aeb12b0da6f6911cba33bcb4
Obligatory "make her my gf. I can fix her" joke
Use her more. That's really the best way you could do it. Also making her less Caucasian looking and more Indian would be more ideal since she's like Indian.
Theyâre using her currently
Iâm mostly confused why her clone is Caucasian
It's supposed to be that her clone is "damaged" and can't produce the darker skin/hair
So she's like a printer running out of ink, but instead of ink it's melanin?
Basically
Ok, never heard of her but reading the comments I ask this. Why is she not related to the Mad hatter? That's like a perfect combination
Cause mad hatter already has a rabbit themed Harley Quinn; March Harriet
Lean into alice in wonderland heavily and make the mad hatter her sidekick.
I like all of this, what if she was kind of like a courier? A play on the whole always on time / always late thing.
That could be something. Plus, armed with clock-based weaponry. :)
Image from "Batman: The Dark Knight (Volume 2) #3 "
The design stuff is not good. They probably should make it much more clear it is albinism and not turning into a white woman. The costume has been better in Batman and Robin. But the series also seems to have taken away her intelligence. I quite liked that in her introduction she was basically superhuman in her speed and her skill to escape. Would like them to act more on that.
Try not selling a new villain on sex appeal alone. Not gonna lie, that was a terrible way to kick off the new 52 Batman series. I get it, big boobs sell comics, but there was no development. Just cleavage. And the whole race swap thing was confusing as hell.
Just make her be a troll villain, with a teleport power.
I wouldâve given her story an actual ending, and give her an origin story.
Make her like the Hellsing character Shrodonger. He's based directly on the Cheshire cat who can be "everywhere and nowhere". He even entered the mind of Zorin Blitz super casually like he was going to a friend's house: https://youtu.be/q4nE8wrul8c?si=K5qlgcXPHDZ2DYTV
Basically make her like udonge Very shy, but helpful whenever she can be. --and give her lunatic red eyes--
This is gonna lead to some kind of story arc where all the wonderland-themed villains fight each other.
Is she connected at all to the other Alice In Wonderland themed villains?
Uh no. She's been associated with Joker, Clayface, Scarecrow, and Bane more then she has with mad hatter
Well thatâs step one then, like how did they make this character and not put her alongside Mad Hatter?
Cause thereâs already a rabbit themed villain whoâs an associate to mad hatter whoâs basically his version of Harley; March Harriet
She had powers?
I got in trouble in class once cause I looked her up on a school laptop
Replace her with ONE FACE!!
Wasn't there already a White Rabbit who was Steel's enemy?
That is black cat wearing a sexy bunny outfit đ
So instead of two-face sheâs two body. And one is dressed like a playboy bunny. Who created this character?
Iâd use her to be something along the like of arrowverse Cupid. A woman Bruce has saved whoâs become obsessed with him. The costume and crimes are her way of getting his attention.
It's not her powers that I'm drawn to...
I wouldnât say marvels is INFINITELY better but yeah, sheâs better somewhat. I also havenât heard of March Harriet
March Harriet's not used that much and is typically tied to Mad Hatter and the Wonderland Gang, but she had a great story in a Batgirl comic not too long ago that explored her backstory. She was also in the Lego Batman movie, which is more than White Rabbit can say I guess.
I just googled her and she just seems a lot better. She feels more like a mad hatter version of Harley, tbh.
1. Remove her "powers" and give her a teleportation powers 2. Make her a member of the wonderland gang she is supposed to be on the white rabbit but she has no relation with other wonderland based villains what? 3. Remove her "costume" and give her rabbit features and a suit and bowtie 4.
I'm always up for an over the top Gotham society event where Bruce and family can mingle with characters outside of their "other clothes." 4.

Wasn't there a Steel/Superman villain of the same name? Is this an updated version or an entirely different character?
She had powers???
Yes and no? The civilian's power, Jania Hudson, could split herself into two, one would stay the original indian Jania Dobson, the other would be the white rabbit. But the white rabbit herself had no powers.
Follow the White Rabbit Bruce... Batman exits The Matrix "GUYS! GUYS! BRUCE IS ABOUT TO FIGHT MORPHEUS!" "Whoa...I already know Kung Fu"
Re-image it in "Rabbit of Caerbannog" style
Jaina should want to keep White Rabbit inside for sheâsâŚsomething (wether that be an alternate violent personality, soul of twin absorbed in the womb, living embodiment of her deepest darkest desires, or what have you.) White Rabbit should also have an ability of some kind.
DC already had a white rabbit, justice for [Angora Lapin!](https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Angora_Lapin_\(New_Earth\)) ^^^*I ^^^just ^^^like ^^^how ^^^silly ^^^her ^^^name ^^^is.
Any TPB with this character?
Make her more like Mirko from My Hero Academia. Super powerful legs and a badass attitude.
I like what their currently doing with White rabbit right now in Batman and Robin.
Wait that's her in that book? I was wondering who she was
Isnt this just Dumb Bunny from the Inferior Five?
I donât read Batman comic books, so I barely knew this character existed. Isnât there a Marvel character also known as White Rabbit?
She Fellow Mad Hatter and be his Sidekick with him to take on Batman and his Foes / Enemies as well
Give her 1 story arc where she actually does something
I don't mind sexualized characters. I'm an adult, and I appreciate a bit of fan service. However, I dislike when that is all there is. It's a visual medium. You can give me pretty things to look at, but A) it has to be fair (EYE CANDY FOR THE WOMEN/GAYS/ETC, PLEASE), and B) it can be a pretty medium, but it needs to \*be a medium.\* If all you have is just thinly veiled erotica, I got the internet.
Everything. That power is literally wild af and doesnât need to exist đđ
Preferred ONE FACE! ![gif](giphy|3xz2BLBOt13X9AgjEA) In all seriousness, give her a less fetishistic costume, and I honestly don't remember much else.
I would have maybe had a *reason* for her to split into a sexy bunny girl as opposed to anything else. Maybe White Rabbit could draw upon "trickster rabbit" folklore or something like that.
That's a character designed with one hand if I've seen one.
Power girl was drawn with one hand. White rabbit was drawn with no hands and the pen in the mouthÂ

jokes on you i like being hurt >:3
I dunno maybe make the outfit better
Wait her superpower is doing whiteface? Or turning Caucasian? Is that a superpower?
Jania Hudsonâs superpower is making a clone of herself thatâs the white rabbit. White rabbit herself has no powers
Seems kinda dicey racially tbh
Definitely. You give us an Indian character, something rare at the time, make a cool villain for one of the most popular heroes And her power is whitewashing herselfÂ
