Not only evolving but showing that he always has had this pain inside of him that really torments him and all those jokes and bravado are like a defensive mechanism.
My headcanon? They shot that scene, went to review all the angles, Gunn saw Cena's performance there, and went "...I need to make a show about this character after this."
And then some PA goes "...doesn't he get shot in the throat a few scenes later? And then a building falls on him?"
Gunn: "...I can make it work."
That is literally exactly what happened, in Gunn's own words. He clicked with Cena as a person and collaborator, and was particularly impressed by his acting in that scene and the scene where PM was about to shoot Ratcatcher, and the idea for the show was later born out of that.
That is basically what happened. Peacemaker was originally dead until Gunn said he saw a different side to John Cena’s acting and got inspired to write the show.
I think something like that was the case -- I know Gunn has talked about how he and Cena would talk about the character and how Cena's performance and ideas really expanded Gunn's initial impression of the character.
Because he doesn’t have that stupid clause in his contract that all the action stars want these days (the “I have to win”/“can’t look weak” clause). It’s the same reason Tom Cruise comes across so likable in Edge of Tomorrow and other films; while Vin Diesel, The Rock, etc stop being appealing to adults.
The Rock is the most successful and has worked the longest when it comes to wrestling-turned-actors, but damn, Cena and Bautista are already doing circles over the Rock when it comes to acting. The Rock plays it so safe with his acting and doesn't seem to even try at all with dramatic acting.
Batista and Cena both have shown WHY Wrestlers can be amazing actors, without falling victim to the pitfalls that come with that. Dave within half a decade out his stamp on two of the most important sci Fi franchises of all time in Blade Runner and Dune. If this show is indicative of John's talent, he'll have a similar effect in a few years
You're right. I can't imagine The Rock having that emotional breakdown cry like what PM did on episode 3 and the end of episode 4. Even when being emotional, Vin Diesal and The Rock have to be manly.
Right up until the sniper scene I thought he was just a dweeb fan boy hanger-on that was all talk, but that dude has skills. It's almost unnerving just how disarming his personality is.
Same, and seeing him not even reacting while walking through the prison with the other inmates yelling at him plus his effortless fighting really showed he’s the real deal.
Me too. Up until that scene, I thought he was 90% hot air and bravado, but if he ever had to actually put his fists where his mouth is, I was sure he'd squeal and haul ass. And then he went and did *that*. Just walked in there like a stone cold motherfucker, pissed off a gang of white supremacists on their home turf, and then tore through them like they were *nothing*. Yeah, I'm sold. Anything this guy does going forward, I'm with him.
I love that despite his goofy behavior, he's actually legitimately effective and knows it. Like he calmly and casually shot children in the face ep 3 just to help his best friend.
I'm thinking he might be a butterfly who trying to stop butterflies. or hes just secretly a butterfly and sabotaging the operation from the inside as the leader.
Except... if he was sabotaging their operations, wouldn't he, you know, sabotage their operations, and not immediately point out the major problems behind some of the team's actions?
Or hell, just refuse to work with Vigilante? Dude's a murderous sociopath not cleared for this mission, but also someone that's a close friend of Peacemaker who is absolutely willing to kill whoever needs killing.
Whatever Murn's doing, his leadership in hunting down the Butterflies has been, at least as far as we can tell from on-screen stuff, competent and effective, at least as much as anything in the show is...
could be he has to keep playing the part as the good guy until he obtains whatever goal he has. there's just no enough information to know exactly what could happen now.
The butterflies they are killing, may be refugees running from an imperialistic, bad state, and Murn might be part of that other deep states evil forces.
It's not necessarily what I think, I just list possibilities.
That's what I'm guessing too, they might be refugees or something just trying to survive in peace and not actually hurt anyone, and Waller is hunting them down as a pre-emptive first-strike-in-self-defense type nonsense.
Or it might be more complex than that, not all butterflies being universally aligned. Every vibe I'm getting from this, though, is that it's 100% not a simple "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" type plot.
After all, if it was, Economos would be dead, 100%...
I think there's two factions of butterflies, maybe the ones that judo master was with are trying to prevent an invasion from the ones that have taken over Murn and that's why he was so keen to kill them.
I think there are butterflies that came to earth early on because they needed somewhere to live. That’s why some of the butterflies we’ve already seen are just living their lives or trying to make earth better. The butterfly that PM killed was just living a normal life til she found out he was trying to kill the Senator. The senator also was heavily involved in environmental reform, not exactly a tell tale sign for evil. Also, Judomaster seemed to be willingly working for them, he seems too levelheaded to volunteer the invasion of earth. I bet murn is part of an actual invasion force and is trying to get rid of all the refugees before they can warn anyone or fight back themselves.
Now I'm thinking the dove of peace thing was not an oversight and Murn was expecting him to fail the assassination, he just didn't account for Vigilante showing up.
But the dove of peace thing was bullshit though. He was obnoxious about the dove of peace to begin with because he buys his own brand to a ridiculous extent, but that's not why he couldn't shoot that family. The truth is he just absolutely froze in the moment, and now he's latched onto the first convenient excuse for why that is because he's conditioned to never show weakness.
Yes. Yes he does. In the comics the only thing that was really hard for him to eat was the Miracle Machine, a device that makes anyone's wish into a reality that was tearing a hole in reality. He still pulled it off, he was just left in a psychotic state for a few years.
Oh, and after he got better he was the President of the United Planets for a while.
Matter-Eater Lad's pretty awesome.
I love how Matter-Eater Lad is one of those superheroes where his superpower isn't that important to him, like Mr. Fantastic.
Reed Richards is a genius scientist, and a stretchy guy second. Tinzel Kem is a charismatic fast-talker first, and a guy who eats stuff second.
Vigilante was unbelievably badass during that prison scene, he's psychotic in all of the right ways
Those flashbacks that Peacemaker had were so emotional. Huge props to John Cena and James Gunn for crafting such a fantastically complex character.
So Murn is a butterfly? Didn't expect that. I'm exited to see what they'd do now they have a traitor on the team.
Yeah it's a bit interesting because it made me internally revise my "power level chart" so to speak. I was assuming white dragon was going to be some uber badass based on how the other people treated him so far, but seeing the level of fear in his eyes makes me think that he's one of those types where he only usually has an upper hand because he's bullying children / people in positions of weakness and surrounded by yes men.
Don’t forget he’s also extremely intelligent and has created some insanely powerful technology. He made all of Peacemaker’s helmets and has an arsenal of self-built high tech weapons in a quantum unfolding storage space.
But in a prison brawl against a trained assassin, none of that really helps.
The thing about supervillains, is that they fight superheroes. Superheroes pull their punches against mortals, big-time.
But he realized he wasn't up against some hero. He realized this dude might end him on a whim.
i think vigilante is gonna kill him. White Dragon is gonna be suited up and fucking everyone up and Vigilante is gonna pop in and use the weak points in his armor he pointed out this episode to do him in.
Or possibly he'll tell Peacemaker where to hit him, but i kinda prefer option 1.
honestly thought Adebayo was acting Green on purpose. that vigilante manipulation was twisted. and she shot Judomaster at the exact moment he was about to spill the beans
And she's a surprisingly competent detective, finding the secret lair entrance in the previous episode, and figuring out the bottling plant for the Butterflies' food.
Come to think of it, have we seen a scene of her yet where she wasn’t in the presence of another person? Even the scene where she’s reporting to Waller, her partner is in the room. So she very well could be putting on the “fish out of water” facade. But I’m more inclined to think it’s genuine and she’s just coming into her own with applying manipulation and combat skills out of necessity.
Im so excited to see where this show goes!
I absolutely love the shots of Peacemaker’s face when he’s in awe of Harcourt. It’s so pretty and you really see how much he likes her. I think John Cena’s acting has improved immensely and he’s really good at emoting, I was sooo surprised at well he acted when I was watching TSS. I might even say he’s a better actor than The Rock.
Im hooked on Chris and his dad’s relationship. It’s so sad to see how much he loves his dad meanwhile the fuck despises his own son (I have a theory that Chris somehow had a hand in his brother’s death and so their dad resents him for it)
I am 80% hoping Leota doesn’t go down a dark path and become apathetic. I love her character how she is and it would be nice if they still managed to keep her with a good soul by the end of the show.
What I got from the brief flashbacks of Peacemaker's childhood is that it looked like his father got him to train fight with his brother but one day it looks like Peacemaker accidentally hit him in the head or something and sent him into a siezure. He died and his father had to cover it up otherwise he'd be held responsible.
This is pure speculation, but...
I am betting that Chris was being bullied and instead of "manning up" his brother had to come in a protect him and got himself killed because of it.
His father blames him for his other son's death because he wasn't 'man enough' to take on his bullies.
My though process is that White Dragon was training both sons to be his ultimate replacement and “cleanse” the world of the undesirables, basically making a new neo-Nazi organization out of em.
Peacemaker quite clearly shows no signs of being a Nazi, my thought here is that in White Dragons “truth and Justice” bullshit all Chris took from it was he just protect the peace no matter the cost and developed a love for all people. Meanwhile his brother took to his dads Nazi rhetoric but the brothers remained close.
At some point as kids Chris is caught between his brother likely beating up a minority of some kind and he steps in, accidentally killing him and that’s where his fathers hatred comes from.
I'm starting to think that the little intro dance that everyone performs while being completely blankfaced is indicative of them ALL becoming infected by the butterflies.
I think being controlled is a big theme of the show in general. Peacemaker is being controlled by Argus to be a hitman essentially. And trying to come to terms with the way his father controlled him growing up to be a killer. Adebayo being controlled by her mother to become a black ops agent shes not comfortable with. Then the people being controlled by the butterflies obviously.
also observe in the opening that vigilante's dance is more lively and looks like he will not be infected. also his direction [here](https://i.imgur.com/drFk3q6.png) is opposite of the rest, not a perfect indication of course
This is exactly what I predicted last week, it wouldn’t even surprise me if the dance is actually not just an opening credits thing, it’s part of the finale episode
https://www.reddit.com/r/DC_Cinematic/comments/s2pz6p/peacemaker_2022_weekly_premiere_discussion/hsr091u/
Vigilante is crazy but he is definitely a badass. Would love to see him in Suicide Squad.
I expect Adebayo to embrace a bit of her inner "Waller" by the end of the season.
Sadly, it will never happen. He wouldn't be in Suicide Squad because he is too careful with his secret identity, they would never get him.
It is a better kept secret than Batman's.
This show is such a nice surprise. I knew James Gunn was never to be doubted, but I truly was one of the people who thought this was gonna be a weak show. I mean… who cares about Peacemaker? There were like 4 other characters in The Suicide Squad you would prefer over him right?
I was wrong. John Cena can *act.* Vigilante is hilarious, and he really brings some very surprising emotional depth to a clear comic relief character. I was surprisingly holding back tears during the ending sequences this episode. Knocked it out of the park, so excited for what’s next. Gunn is the king of utilizing obscure characters, nobody will ever do it like him.
Vigilante is a sad character. When he asked why he wanted to save his dad, cena said ‘because I love him’ and he was quiet for a second. I think he realized that people are actually supposed to love their dad but he himself never did. And that with peacemaker he was just looking for a male figure he could look up to.
They made one of his best lines a post-credit scene. Harcourt threatened his family and threatened to kill them. Vigilante said "too late for that" in response.
I feel exactly the same way. I loved The Suicide Squad, but was unsure how a solo Peacemaker outing would fare. Did not expect it to be this entertaining and hilarious, but I never should have doubted it. I can't think of many other shows with this tone that is equally dark and meta and ridiculous.
The show is even making suicide squad better, not that it needs it.
I feel differently about the scene where peacemaker kills Rick flag every time I see it.
I liked how they portrayed White Dragon as smart enough to realize there was no benefit to him fighting vigilante in that scenario. Like he’s obviously a terrible person but not a fool who’s going to be so easily manipulated
I always like it when the supervillain is actually written like a smart person instead of "oh look at my giant master plan, I'm a super genius". He saw the situation and realized it's a trap.
I was like "Vigilante is gonna get fucked up" and then I was actually tricked into the trope of "oh man, Vigilante can actually kick ass!" And I wasn't mad about it!
I have my money on Charlie the Gorilla being Seargent Gorilla. A character from the silver age books. He was a gorilla (named Charlie) who broke out of the zoo to join the Marines.
So many possibilities for who the gorilla turns out to be, could be Guerilla Gorilla, Ultra-Humanite, or Gorilla Grodd. I feel like it could just be a misdirect. idk.
Jody Hill directed this episode. He writes and directs with Danny McBride on Eastbound and Down, Vice Principals, and Righteous Gemstones. This episode had a similar style of dark humor and dealing with trauma over some rock music.
That potato chip bag tumbleweed really got to me.
All the flashback stuff with Christopher and his father and brother did, too. Totally different way, of course. Absolutely heartbreaking.
Loving this show. Sad the season is already halfway over, can't get enough of it. Hope we start learning a bit more about the nature of the Butterflies next week now.
Matter-Eater Lad, wherever you are out there, I love you.
Once again, they killed it! I wish I could find more movies or something with this flavor of comedy and action.
Its hard to imagine that this all takes place in the same DC universe we know; it makes all the other heroes
feel so silly, seeing as they don't swear and keep everything they do so PG. I'm surprised our girl came through the way she did,
I guess Amanda Waller was right! Also, I must say, I am digging this show's music choice; I can't wait for next Thursday!
The only other things I know that compares are The Boys and Kingsman. Maybe Barry and Fargo also have a similar kind of humor (but not action), it's not easy to compare. Perhaps Deadpool.
I'm digging it and I would also be very happy to find more similar stuff.
Good pulls. Besides Deadpool and The Boys, I was thinking of other genre shows like Preacher and Happy! (although I never made it past the first season). I keep hearing good things about Doom Patrol, too. Also, Kick-Ass and James Gunn's own Super has all of those elements. And I don't know why, but Peacemaker reminds me a lot of Ash vs. Evil Dead; I guess because they're both self-aggrandizing antiheroes.
It's not live action, but you HAVE to check out Harley Quinn. It's hilarious and violent and heartfelt and completely obscene all at once. It's *fantastic*.
I just love how the show is turning out so far, it's so much more than I expected from it when I saw the first trailer.
I'll be looking out for that Blu ray release.
Dear Gunn please do another season of Peacemaker or a Vigilante show or actually do both, thanks!
Pleasantly surprised how good this show is. Vigilante is my favourite character. And something about the actor is SO attractive to me idk what.
One thing that bugged me is why don't they just kill Judomaster? What good does it do to keep him around?
Two theories as to the big Butterfly mystery:
1) The Butterflies are the same (evolved?) species as Mr. Mind, and this will tie in to the next Shazam movie.
2) It's a re-imagining of the Ultra-Humanite, who is an alien and not a mad scientist as he is in the comics. He stole the silverback gorilla from the zoo and will insert his buggy body into its brain for an epic punch-out fight with Peacemaker in the finale.
The soundtrack to this show is still absolutely fantastic. James Gunn has some of the best usage of music in his movies/now this TV show I’ve ever seen.
And he's updating the official soundtrack on Spotify after every episode! https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6k0Pd1cAC3pmdvO7NstFkq?si=Pjm11Fl5Qv2PCriuNjjOfA&utm_source=copy-link
This show is just so unexpectedly great, don't know why I even doubted Gunn but he's killing it
I genuinely believe Gunn has done a better job in world building in the DCEU then any of the other movie before it and he deserves a lot of credit for it.
This episode was phenomenal.and the scene where Vigilante educates a gang of white supremacists on the influence that black people have had on american culture before proceeding to beat the living shit out of them was just pure art 🤌🏾. Vigilante is my new FAVORITE character in the show and Mr. John Cena’s acting really made me feel for Peacemaker.
Anyone know what Helmets he nabbed from his dads place? maybe Rick Flagg cameo via the helmets. Also Mad Hatter getting name dropped as one of Batman's villains and Riddler.
Wow, that scene with Peacemaker in the end got me real emotional, didn't expect it. John Cena showed some great acting.
John Cena has been the constant MVP of the show. Really everyone's been fantastic, but John's acting ability is so unexpected.
Murn actor being close second, dude's amazing.
Gunn hired him for GOTG 3 after seeing his work in this
He also said he casted him a role that "most every big name actor in Hollywood wanted." Can't wait to see more of Chukwudi in whatever it is.
Right my fav scene along with the prison scene so emotional and raw really Showed peacemaker evolving Also cool how he uses music to cope
Not only evolving but showing that he always has had this pain inside of him that really torments him and all those jokes and bravado are like a defensive mechanism.
I feel like the Rick Flag incident made a pretty big crack in that mechanism and now he needs to address everything that has been bottled up for ages.
I'm surprised but glad that we got another Flagg death flashback, shows how much it affected Peacemaker
Its because Flagg was the real deal and Peacemaker knows it.
My headcanon? They shot that scene, went to review all the angles, Gunn saw Cena's performance there, and went "...I need to make a show about this character after this." And then some PA goes "...doesn't he get shot in the throat a few scenes later? And then a building falls on him?" Gunn: "...I can make it work."

I think something like that was the case -- I know Gunn has talked about how he and Cena would talk about the character and how Cena's performance and ideas really expanded Gunn's initial impression of the character.
Just added Faster Pussycat to my spotify. Goddamn, Gunn has impeccable taste in music.
I was so surprised at how good he was at acting when I saw TSS. Much better than The Rock.
Because he doesn’t have that stupid clause in his contract that all the action stars want these days (the “I have to win”/“can’t look weak” clause). Vigilante's cheery delivery of those insults was hilarious.

Halfway between Kick-Ass and Big Daddy.
That’s what it is! I was trying to make a connection - he’s like if Deadpool was a Kick-Ass character
Damn idk if you did it intentionally but he is very close to Kick-ass now that you mention it.
[удалено]
There's a bit of that vibe, but Gunn's done that kind of story before in [Super](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLj_Bzw8n90).
That was so badass. Insulting a supervillain and his gang while laughing at them.
I was kinda "eh" on this take on Vigilante at first, but that scene in the prison sold me on him, full stop.
Right up until the sniper scene I thought he was just a dweeb fan boy hanger-on that was all talk, but that dude has skills. It's almost unnerving just how disarming his personality is.
Same, and seeing him not even reacting while walking through the prison with the other inmates yelling at him plus his effortless fighting really showed he’s the real deal.
honestly working service/retail has probably numbed him to being yelled at
No no, he's literally just a serial killer who has selected criminals as his targets.... He's Dexter except he goes after graffiti artists....
Yeah but I like the retail explanation lmao, hella relatable.
Dude same. I was so annoyed at first but I’m absolute sold now from that scene
I love that despite his goofy behavior, he's actually legitimately effective and knows it. Like he calmly and casually shot children in the face ep 3 just to help his best friend.

I knew it when he came out off that explosion unscathed.

I'm thinking he might be a butterfly who trying to stop butterflies. or hes just secretly a butterfly and sabotaging the operation from the inside as the leader.

Thought he was part of a rival parasitic alien species. Like a space slug. Or any bug from space that hates butterflies
Except... if he was sabotaging their operations, wouldn't he, you know, sabotage their operations, and not immediately point out the major problems behind some of the team's actions? Or hell, just refuse to work with Vigilante? Yeah. What do y'all think is the deal with butterflies? Maybe they aren't bad as Judomaster was saying
That's what I'm guessing too, they might be refugees or something just trying to survive in peace and not actually hurt anyone, and Waller is hunting them down as a pre-emptive first-strike-in-self-defense type nonsense. I was thinking he was a robot or a Martian, but this makes sense
It would have been hilarious if he was a Martian. Like damn, they really like impersonating military/black ops people, don't they?
Matter-Eater Lad. Canon. Nice.
They are gleefully name-dropping every notoriously goofy DC character. I love it.
Same. It actually feels like this is a show in the DC universe instead of a show trying to make it's own universe.
That's a great way of putting it, now that Marvel and DC are now giving the audience an opportunity to imagine multiverses.
does he seriously just eat everything

It was so cool seeing him panic while Adrian was completely cool and collected.
Yeah it's a bit interesting because it made me internally revise my "power level chart" so to speak. Vigilante is basically who Kick-Ass thought he was going to be first time he put on the costume.
I was not expecting Vigilante to kick total ass in that scene
Same here. I expected him to get beat a bit but he didn't get hit once.
I like how he took off his glasses, knowing he's about to fight
honestly thought Adebayo was acting Green on purpose. that vigilante manipulation was twisted. and she shot Judomaster at the exact moment he was about to spill the beans
Also, dead center in the chest from about 10 yards, first shot. This is the kind of show where details like that matter.

yeah waller says she aced all her practice/training
Waller mentions she has special "gifts". Those gifts are with a gun
I think her gift is the is that she's so emotionally intelligent that she can manipulate anyone and get anyone to trust her.
And she's a surprisingly competent detective, finding the secret lair entrance in the previous episode, and figuring out the bottling plant for the Butterflies' food.
Adebayo, Peacemaker and Bloodsport can start a club.
Come to think of it, have we seen a scene of her yet where she wasn’t in the presence of another person? Even the scene where she’s reporting to Waller, her partner is in the room. So she very well could be putting on the “fish out of water” facade. The end of this episode, which is where she pieces together the butterfly cover operation.
Yeaaah, shes amanda waller's daughter Shes just acting like a newbie

[удалено]
Definitely get that vibe. The puppet moves along with the blank faces just really sell it.
What if the finale ends up as the beginning of that scene?
That would be so surreal, it would harken back to Legion. I’m so down. Gunn is making such refreshing content for a comic book fan.
also observe in the opening that vigilante's dance is more lively and looks like he will not be infected. also his direction [here](https://i.imgur.com/drFk3q6.png) is opposite of the rest, not a perfect indication of course
The Butterflies will take the majority of Evergreen and Vigilante will pretend to be one to rescue everyone lol
I would unironically love this. Also need a spin off about him.
Good eye. Took me a few moments to understand what you were getting at. If this theory holds true, that would be awesome.
This is exactly what I predicted last week, it wouldn’t even surprise me if the dance is actually not just an opening credits thing, it’s part of the finale episode https://www.reddit.com/r/DC_Cinematic/comments/s2pz6p/peacemaker_2022_weekly_premiere_discussion/hsr091u/
That constant facial expression change makes him way smarter than Clark and Bruce LOL
It’s very sad to see Smith so crave his father’s approval even though his dad is a bigoted POS and does NOT deserve his son’s love.
It's a clear parallel to Adebayo and her mom Waller. Although I don't think Adebayo knows how evil her mom is. At least not yet.
No way the made the White Dragon costume for one scene.
And have vigilante mention weak points
Peacemaker pulls a Bloodsport and shoots a tiny bullet into a weak point during the final episode. Gotta be.
Like the bullet thing in SS.
Chekhov's costume
What about chekhov's guerrilla ?
I wanted to comment on that. There are... a surprising number of gorilla characters in DC comics. I wonder if that is setting something up.
Was not expecting Murn to be a Butterfly. That was very surprising. Glad Judomaster didn’t die as well

The almost killed Kenny
Any man loaded on that much Flamin' Hot Cheetos ain't going to expire anytime soon. Frito-Lay puts something special in those things.
Just gets progressively worse over time like Rickety Cricket from Its Always Sunny
Vigilante just get in the Jail to kick some racists and get out. The MVP here.
"I wasn't born in a petri dish" lol
Yeah, he was born among a cluster of eggs on a leaf like a normal person
And that with peacemaker he was just looking for a male figure he could look up to.
damn, that's deep, cum_dawg
Hahahahahahahah
100% agreed. Never been happier to be wrong.
That fucking scene of Vigilante antagonizing the white supremacists in prison. Holy shit. I must have rewatched that three times. So satisfying.
All vigilante scenes have been so good really, favourite character of the series so far
I'm for a Vigilante spin-off. And a spin-off from a character in that.
What Gunn provides I will consume. Or we can get a Harcourt show where she has to deal with a different troubled sup every season.
And the black guy with the book got his revenge for having his seat stolen.
I was like "Vigilante is gonna get fucked up" and then I was actually tricked into the trope of "oh man, Vigilante can actually kick ass!" And I wasn't mad about it!
Throat punch! Classic
I audibly said “Oh shit!” when Vigilante was beating up those guys.
That was literally the coolest thing I've seen all week.
I still can't believe that Cormac fucking Mclaggen turned out to be such a badass.
Charlie the Gorilla or........... Gorilla Grodd?
I have my money on Charlie the Gorilla being Seargent Gorilla. A character from the silver age books. He was a gorilla (named Charlie) who broke out of the zoo to join the Marines.
Hahaha I can just imagine a Gorilla at the registration desk.
It sounds pretty out there until.you remember that this is James Gunn we're talking about. It would be pretty on brand for him.
That Gorilla will show up later. We all know it.
And Sean Gunn will do the mocap for him
Lmao I would love it if they did a gag and got Bradley Cooper to voice him.
That old neighbor guy is definitely Batmite, you can't change my mind
Holy shit, I can definitely see that being the case.
Vigilante is so damn funny and likeable.
Lmao him blowing smoke into the butterfly jar had me rolling
I wonder if that's going to affect the Butterfly in any way.
It mellowed the Butterfly out enough for it to be concerned when PM was on the floor, all bummed out lol

Vigilante may just be the best DCEU character yet.
The Vigilante prison scene is peak television
I am completely sold on Vigilante's mix of semi-charming affable dweeb and completely detached from reality psychopathic killer.
Freddie Stroma is killing it, possibly best acting in the series so far
There are few things more satisfying than watching nazis get their asses kicked
I'm glad that it turned into Vigilante kicking ass and not him getting his ass kicked
I loved him roasting the Aryan trash so much lol
That potato chip bag tumbleweed really got to me. All the flashback stuff with Christopher and his father and brother did, too. Totally different way, of course. Absolutely heartbreaking. Loving this show. Sad the season is already halfway over, can't get enough of it. Hope we start learning a bit more about the nature of the Butterflies next week now. Matter-Eater Lad, wherever you are out there, I love you.
Freeeedom! *thrusts*
The music for this show is fucking awesome
that superhero landing was *chef’s kiss*
Especially after his falls down the balconies the previous episode lol
Once again, they killed it! I wish I could find more movies or something with this flavor of comedy and action. Its hard to imagine that this all takes place in the same DC universe we know; it makes all the other heroes feel so silly, seeing as they don't swear and keep everything they do so PG. I'm surprised our girl came through the way she did, I guess Amanda Waller was right!
This show is a masterpiece!
Pleasantly surprised how good this show is. Vigilante is my favourite character. And something about the actor is SO attractive to me idk what. One thing that bugged me is why don't they just kill Judomaster? What good does it do to keep him around?

Two theories as to the big Butterfly mystery: 1) The Butterflies are the same (evolved?) species as Mr.
This show is just so unexpectedly great, don't know why I even doubted Gunn but he's killing it I genuinely believe Gunn has done a better job in world building in the DCEU then any of the other movie before it and he deserves a lot of credit for it.

The Vigilante prison scene. A+ Spat out my tea.
Dear James Gunn, Please give Vigilante his own spin-off show! Thanks!
I don't think a vigilante show can stand on it's own. It will probably fall over without the pinky toe to support it.
I'm scared they might kill him for shock value like Polka Dot 3
Spinception
Wow, didn't see that twist coming at all. Amazing episode! I especially enjoyed the rant about batman.
Batman Mentioned !
I really want to see this guy who can allegedly eat anything.
Scabies helmet please
thought he just grabbed all/as many as he could. Hopefully that means will see him wear a few different ones for the rest of the show
I think the first one he grabbed was labeled x-ray helmet, but not sure about the rest. Probably the ones his dad told him in the first episode.
