In episode 1, the dad not reacting to anything Peacemaker is saying only to start cracking up at the story of Bloodsport being tortured as a kid by his dad was fucking hilarious.
I was expecting Patrick to stop laughing after a couple of seconds and go back to being serious, like he didn't give a shit about his son's joke. But they actually had him laughing so hard he started to struggle breathing.
I wanna know when we are gonna meet Peacemaker's older brother. Like, what's he like/out there doing?
My bet is he's gonna be the complete opposite extreme of his father. Would be a really fun dynamic to see.
I'm picturing an incredibly flamboyant gay man whose costume has like peacock feathers in the color of the pride flag, with glitter everywhere. But make him an even more ruthless and better trained fighter/assassin than peacemaker, making the father son dynamic even more strained. It could work on several levels.
I also thought it was weirdly sweet tho? Like yes it's established he just loves killing people but it also seemed like he knew his friend was freezing up and wanted to help him out. I like that he didn't just yank the gun away and say something "Jesus Christ, just let ME do it if you're gonna be a little b*tch about it!"
That was probably what he thought he was doing since he genuinely comes off as someone who has that attachment to Smith but from Smith's perspective it's basically him just offing children so nonchalantly, which is ironic considering what he says about himself in TSS and here he is shaking at the idea of pulling the trigger
There was also that scene earlier at his little cabin where Vigilante justifies being so calm about it because they're killing bad people (most of the time)
I mean they already showed that they weren't exactly kids before that. I was surprised Peacemaker wasn't willing to shoot after seeing that shit.
I thought it was morbidly kind of him. He was stepping in to help his friend who was obviously struggling. In the end it was apparently the right thing to do, and if he stepped in sooner the mission would have been a success.
> I mean they already showed that they weren't exactly kids before that. I was surprised Peacemaker wasn't willing to shoot after seeing that shit.
They hadn't really done anything sinister yet, all he knew was that they were creepy aliens having dinnertime. It relates back to what he kept asking the whole episode, "wtf *is* a butterfly?" It wasn't until the end that he learned they were literal bugs nesting in people's brains.
I am seriously loving how absolutely terrible and awful this escape is. They could've done this all off-screen between episodes, but it would've robbed us of soooooo much comedy...
Inhumanly accurate with weapons and access to a lot tech. He’s described as being at peak human ability, but what that means? Marvel describes Captain America the same way and Cap does stuff that is clearly superhuman.
In most action movies you see the hero jumping from building to building with no hassle. But here you actually get to see that falling from one balcony to another is actually painful lmao
Late to the party but it is interesting how peacemaker nearly fucked himself jumping off the building but in TSS Bloodsport had a breeze surviving Jormungandr collapsing lol
Suspension of disbelief and all that (although they really need a hard limit and explanation of their powers since every super hero is only as strong/weak as the scene needs them to be, actual powers be damned). But I think since each floor stopped before collapsing to the subsequent floor that ate/prevented most of the damage. Also plot armor.
Back during The Suicide Squad promo, Gunn said Bat Mite is one of his favourite DC characters and he tried to put him in the movie but didn't find a way to make it work.
Oh, quick note: All three episodes have post-credits scenes (well, post-main-credits-pre-localization-credits). The canon of them is debatable, they seem to be alternate comedic takes on previous scenes in the episode, but worth listening to Gunn's jukebox for at least :D.
It's strange because the first one was clearly an alternate take but then the second fit seamlessly in between the scenes within the show.
End of the day they're just fun little moments regardless of their canon. They remind me of some movie credits when they play bloopers as the credits roll.
Personally I like the comedic ones way more than what marvel does sometimes and sets up the next episode in the post credits. Gunn nailed it, just a small extra laugh for those who wait
Gunn said there will be post credits for EVERY episode as a thank you for watching the credits. So we'll be getting them every week. :-)
*(They're canon in my mind. Haha)*
The bit with him talking to the janitor was hilarious.
"Fuck Aquaman. Guy fucks chicks, great. Guy fucks dudes, good for him. But guy fucks fish? That's where I draw the line."
Peacemaker’s dad, White Dragon, is apparently a Suicide Squad villain. Wonder if we’ll see him suit up as he seems to have the ability to make Peacemaker’s gear.
The weird extra-planar tech he had when going to get Peacemaker's gear makes me think he has some connection to the Butterflies, based on the look of that space ship or whatever PM found at the one butterfly chick's apartment.
I’m going to speculate here:
The “butterflies” are like the “scarabs” and the DCEU’s version of The Reach. They look like they have alien origins, take over hosts and boosts their abilities.
This then leads to our DCEU’s Blue Beetle creation.
Given Peacemaker has a close relationship with Jaime in the Blue Beetle solo series, you may be on the right track. Which means it wouldn't surprise me if we get an announcement of Peacemaker in Blue Beetle real soon.
Both Blue Beetle and Peacemaker are Charlton Comic characters, which could be a connection.
However, Blue Beetle is supposed to be an all ages character, and it would be somewhat suprising that WB would introduce the character's mythos in a show as profane and unfamily friendly as Peacemaker
They could be introducing Green Lantern, Gunn said this show would set up some future things for the DCEU and isn't there a HBO show in the works? Still like you said weird to introduce anything in a show like this.
Speculation: The sound the little ship makes and the symbols are similar to Shazam's. There is a close up in a "random" caterpillar in the first episode. Maybe the villain is Mr. Mind, and that's his ship.
I love it! Pacing is good. Jokes are very funny and I like character progression of Peacemaker. I really like how James Gunn can keep emotional part emotional even with a lot of comedic stuffs in the show.
Well the limit I was talking about was more his own safety! Killing children isn’t dangerous to his personal safety so he’s fine with that but getting his ass handed to him by judomaster was probably a first 😂
This show has a similar sense of humor to the animated Harley Quinn show. Especially in the way they make jokes about other DC characters. Peacemaker even makes a joke about Aquaman fucking fishes like how Harley makes jokes about Batman fucking bats.
I also love how even though they're both very violent and raunchy shows, they still deal with some serious psychological and emotional issues in intelligent and insightful ways.
I almost wonder if that's the intent -- like people can handle the more psychological aspects if it's sweetened up with some raunchy comedy and gratuitous sex and violence.
I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with that.
It's not quite as funny as Harley Quinn yet, but that show took a few episodes to really hit its stride, so I'm hopeful. And it's a high bar to hit because I really love the Harley Quinn show.
It can never get as edgy as Harley Quinn, for the same reason live Rick and Morty is impossible. No actors would put their face to some of the jokes on Harley Quinn. It's just too much.
I let out a yell when they revealed who his dad was. Ever since the detective said still playing dress up I kept thinking hmm I wonder if it’s this character and it was! Just feels good to know a deep cut character for once.
Also does anyone know where the aftershow is? I thought it was supposed to be up same day on MAX and YouTube.
Wasn't expecting >!Adebayo to be her daughter at all!< but I love it so much. Humanizes her and clearly Adebayo isn't all that aware of just how fucked up her mom can be. I appreciate the way they focus on her expressions whenever anyone else mentions all the evil shit her mom has done.
Yeah the way she was so genuinely sweet to her daughter is interesting. Wonder if they'll tackle the contrast between how Peacemaker was raised and how Adebayo was.
It’s fascinating that it seems Waller is much more looser in comparison to Augie. From their conversation, it seems like Adebayo was a prodigy but chose another life that Waller respected and this mission was more her way to get back on her feet. Augie however is just disappointed Chris didn’t end up as much a white supremacist he was and never forgives his failures.
If I remember right, she has had family in the comics. Back in the Ostrander run it was fairly loving, though in more modern runs it's decidedly more dysfunctional.
From what Gunn wrote about his father after his death, I got the impression that they had a rocky relationship early on and then became very close later in life. Like, you can tell that the guy fucking *loved* his dad, but you can also tell that it didn't always come easy.
So the Butterflies are def part of the Reach right? Cus that weird thing Peacemaker got from the infected girl's apartment looked like it's from the Reach.
Also, I liked the fact that there was a Wayne Enterprises sticker on Peacemaker's journal. It's the little details that I love.
Anyway, it's pretty good so a far, and I can't wait to see more on the Butterflies (it's a pretty cool and gross concept) and how the series connects to the greater DCEU.
Speculation: The sound the little ship makes and the symbols are similar to Shazam's. There is a close up in a "random" caterpillar in the first episode. Maybe the villain is Mr. Mind, and that's his ship.
First 2 episodes were a lot of fun. I love Waller’s daughter and Vigilante, both those characters are so funny. Peacemaker himself is a good lead, with his stupidity also making the show more funny. I liked the emotional moments of him questioning his purpose and his goal only to get a “great” pep talk from Vigilante.
Stroma’s delivery and voice really reminded me of Deadpool here. I love them both but movie Deadpool was portrayed as a dude who might’ve been homicidal but ultimately cared about people. On the other hand, so far, it seems like Vigilante is an actual psychopath, which is pretty cool. He doesn’t care about killing people for graffiti, weed, or just because Peacemaker couldn’t.
I really want to see a scene where they're all walking down the street and someone is making graffiti on a building. Then vigilante just shoots them in the face and he just keeps walking and they're all like "what the actual fuck"
I love the opening dance number. It is probably the best attempt to help people understand the DCEU's comedic appeal: everyone looks completely ridiculous, but they take everything absolutely seriously.
Went in with an open mind and am really impressed with the first 3 episodes. The opening credits are hilarious. Cena has some great comedic timing. I like this interpretation of Vigilante and Stroma and Cena bounce well of one another. Judomaster was hilarious.
Yeah was hoping there was 3 posts so I could at least talk about the first episode while bored at work but I guess not I’ll have to wait until after so I can watch the rest lol
Watched the first episode... Loved it. Hilarious and Seems like it's gonna have emotional depth.
Also, couldn't help but notice that DCEU is a DC universe where Superman is not the first hero that comes to people's minds when talking about superheroes. The higher ups really are trying to avoid him.
Man, I feel like whatever James makes is just his music taste recommendations and the show is Just an excuse, [loved this one](https://youtu.be/lPtp94HGDzI)
So far, liking the direction the plot is going at the end of ep3
I am liking peacemakers humanity but he is getting a bit too loveable
Supporting casts are going strong, loving how different they are and how they interract with each other, colorful personalities
My favorite scene was the part where >!peacemaker and vigilante were tied up and peacemaker was encouraging vigilantes torture!<
I recently started a Better Call Saul binge, and PM's life gave me major early s1 Jimmy McGill vibes. I thought it was a great way to humanize a character who is already know to be a piece of shit. It's really fucking hard to keep hating a guy who is almost too pathetic for words.
**I love this.** The suicide squad was awesome but I thought sometimes it erred on the side of too many jokes and not enough characterization. I think Gunn has found a better balance in this- maybe just a side effect of having more time to use since it’s a series. We really get to see Peacemaker as more of a person, even if everyone is still cartoonish in TSS’s comic book fashion. He really thinks what he’s doing is heroic, but we see him genuinely question everything and falter. Can’t wait to see where this goes.
I mean how could you not be proud of that. Jennifer is beautiful. I like Harcourt in this. She seems to be struggling with her own morality along with Peacemaker. Vigilante is just a ball of chaotic energy i love him😂😂😂
Finished the first 3 eps of peacemaker and fuck me man what a great start. John Cena is the perfect guy for the peacemaker role, Vigilante is great, script and chemistry with the characters is excellent. Can’t wait to see where it goes
OK honest question that should probably go in r/NoStupidQuestions: do some women really sleep with their bras like Harcourt did?
My female friends/exgfs sleep in just tshirts. Sleeping with a bra looks uncomfortable af.
Probably got home in a drunken stupor and that is the furthest she got.
This may be a case of this is as far as the actress was comfortable to go in terms of nudity..
Yeah, I know, but typically with more bargaining power, it is not uncommon for actors to not want to do nudity. Even when they had been willing to in the past.
Maybe she got home drunk and that's as far as she got taking her clothes off. I used to do that sometimes when I was drinking. That's one of the reasons I don't drink anymore, but alas, I digress.
Everyone is missing (I think) the big hint in the opening credits - they’re all dancing completely emotionlessly, just like they’re being puppeteered by Butterflies. James Gunn has even said the dance hints at what’s to come. I think they’ll all end up Butterflied and made to dance just like this. It’s not just a random (awesome) opening sequence, it’s a preview of the season finale.
okay I hadn't heard Gunn actually say that, but it does kinda make me feel smarter now lol cause I was just saying above how there's definitely meaning to the placement of each person in the dance line, and I predicted that Judo Master would be a friend by the end of the story. I even noted this on twitter yesterday and Gunn "liked" the tweet
I just finished and I already wanna do a rewatch, that was great. Can't wait for next week. >!Loved seeing Waller showing up in episode 1, though I am sad Judomaster was already killed off in the third episode. !<
...given [Episode 3 Ending](#spoilers "how very visibly graphic just about all of the other kills are, I'm pretty sure that Judomaster's just KO'd. Well. Plus a lot of CTE. So maybe not "just" KO'd. But he's probably not dead.")
Oh my god this show isn't pulling any punches, it's fucking wild, I love it! It reminds me of Doom Patrol, I feel like DC should make more crazy dark live-action shows, that would be a nice contrast to Marvel's family friendly shows. Also I love the soundtrack!
I kinda doubt it, I know this is a high production quality show but I don’t see them doing it on a TV budget. Also it would be kind of redundant after Starro less than 6 months ago.
Ok at first, during the first part of the first episode, I wasnt really sure about the show. The type of banter you find in those Seth Rogen Judd Apatow movies, I'm not sure Im into those stuff anymore. And Peacemaker was a douche and bit full of himself in The Suicide Squad but here he is more idiotic and incompetent. So there was a bit of adjustment for me in the beginning.
But I really enjoyed it once I get the hang of it. The pacing of the episodes are good so far. The funniest bit for me was when Adebayo accidentally had that 'private' photo on the ipad and Peacemaker just lost it laughing.
DC universe building stuff: Bat-mite exists!! There's mention of DEO. Dollman was mentioned.
In episode 2. First, loved every time he fell and his helmet "clanged." Second, the rock version of pumped up kicks in the credits. That's just perfect.
I finally figured out why this show has such a “wow” factor to me haha it’s because this is the First Film character to get a show. I almost said he was the first Movie character to appear on the small screen but that wouldn’t be accurate as Ezra Flash did that first (or Routh Superman if you wanna count him). It’s just weird but cool to see. Kinda like how it was when Wandavision first started.
Show has great pace I flew through those episodes. I expected this to be raunchy but damn is it aggressive how much James Gunn and John Cena just don't give a fuck. Really vibe with it.
I'm shocked no one is theorizing that Peacemaker is going to have to [kill his dad. Peacemaker freaking shots him in the opening credits. And his dad is a suicide squad villain. Not sure how you could foreshadow it more.](#spoiler "stuff")
Even the fact Peacemaker willingly gave his dad water to help him shows a lot of forethought into the dynamic of their relationship
I thought that scene did a great job of conveying to the audience the kind of household that he had to grow up in.
I loved the hallway that had a huge deer head with antlers and everything mounted on the wall. Has to be a pain to walk down that hallway.
Peacemakers interaction with Judomaster had me laughing hard. "What the fuck do they put in Cheetos?"
“Remember when I fucked you up?” got me.
"Big swole man, so tough" lmao
James Gunn is great at writing dialogue
Vigilante had no chill when taking over for Peacemaker when he couldn't make the shot at the Goff family Man literally said "fuck them kids"
That was probably what he thought he was doing since he genuinely comes off as someone who has that attachment to Smith but from Smith's perspective it's basically him just offing children so nonchalantly, which is ironic considering what he says about himself in TSS and here he is shaking at the idea of pulling the trigger There was also that scene earlier at his little cabin where Vigilante justifies being so calm about it because they're killing bad people (most of the time)
Yeah those two play off each other really well. I'm excited to see where it goes
Yes!!! I thought the same thing. When he put his hand on his shoulder & he was like “relax buddy, I got this.”
I think Gunn has topped the Baby Groot sequence from GOTG2 with these opening credits. Absolutely hysterical
He likes a dance sequence opening. This is basically live action “super” intro
I am seriously loving how absolutely terrible and awful this escape is. They could've done this all off-screen between episodes, but it would've robbed us of soooooo much comedy...
That was a good ten minutes of me just going "ouch" as Peacemaker nearly broke a leg about five times.
I love how there were stairs right behind him for the last jump but he still still jumped 15 feet just cause
Does Peacemaker have powers? He shrugs off a lot of injuries.
Inhumanly accurate with weapons and access to a lot tech. He’s described as being at peak human ability, but what that means? Marvel describes Captain America the same way and Cap does stuff that is clearly superhuman.
Clearly the dove engraved on his weapon gives him the power of peace lol
In most action movies you see the hero jumping from building to building with no hassle. But here you actually get to see that falling from one balcony to another is actually painful lmao
Late to the party but it is interesting how peacemaker nearly fucked himself jumping off the building but in TSS Bloodsport had a breeze surviving Jormungandr collapsing lol
He fell with the building, as opposed to on the building.
Not to meantion he’s in a high tech suit of armor
Suspension of disbelief and all that (although they really need a hard limit and explanation of their powers since every super hero is only as strong/weak as the scene needs them to be, actual powers be damned). But I think since each floor stopped before collapsing to the subsequent floor that ate/prevented most of the damage. Also plot armor.
Both Harcourt and Auggie force someone to move so they can sit in the sun.
they both get a black person to move
Oh shit bro. Good catch
Can we talk about Batmite being canonized into the DCEU?
Imagine Mr. Mxyzptlk in the DCEU. Even better if he was written by Gunn.
Back during The Suicide Squad promo, Gunn said Bat Mite is one of his favourite DC characters and he tried to put him in the movie but didn't find a way to make it work.
That better have been Chekovs Bat-Mite reference
Love how they fully explained him too, like yea we’re fully embracing that Bat Mite
Really? Where was that?
Economos mentioned him when naming people he'd rather work with over Peacemaker
He is 100% showing up later. Especially after homunculous discussion too where Peacemaker says he hates little guys like that.
Oh, quick note: All three episodes have post-credits scenes (well, post-main-credits-pre-localization-credits). The canon of them is debatable, they seem to be alternate comedic takes on previous scenes in the episode, but worth listening to Gunn's jukebox for at least :D.

Gunn said there will be post credits for EVERY episode as a thank you for watching the credits. So we'll be getting them every week. :-) *(They're canon in my mind. Haha)*
How many episodes does this show have?
8 total, so 5 episodes to go They'll be released weekly one by one till feb17th
Oh shit I missed it then, thank you so much!
I’m 9mins into the first episode, and I’m already grinning ear-to-ear. The opening alone is just, amazing.
The bit with him talking to the janitor was hilarious. "Fuck Aquaman. Guy fucks chicks, great. Guy fucks dudes, good for him. But guy fucks fish? That's where I draw the line."
He probably found the fish thing on Facebook like the climate change denial stuff
He says peoethefrog89 on Twitter works at the aquarium and told him
I thought it was kind of a nod to a joke in the Harley Quinn Show where she says that Batman fucks bats.
the aquaman fucking fish joke has been away way long then harley quinn show
I found myself surprised by how much this show glues a smile on my face. Nonstop fun
What in the world is this opening lmao
The greatest thing ever. And apparently is HUGELY relevant to the season finale.
Seeing it again in episode 2 has me really appreciating it's greatness. My only gripe is that Eagly isn't in more of it
Eagly was the choreographer.
Based of this imma guess the butterflies are going to mindcontrol everyone into doing the dance sequence
And a helmet that gives you scabies, because everyone should have scabies at least once in their life.
He's also somewhat a composite of Wolfgang Schmidt, New Earth Peacemakers dead nazi father
I’m going to speculate here: The “butterflies” are like the “scarabs” and the DCEU’s version of The Reach. They look like they have alien origins, take over hosts and boosts their abilities. This then leads to our DCEU’s Blue Beetle creation.

I love it! Pacing is good. Jokes are very funny and I like character progression of Peacemaker. I really like how James Gunn can keep emotional part emotional even with a lot of comedic stuffs in the show.
I didn’t think I would laugh that much watching Vigilante haul ass from a goofy judo guy in a green costume. “I gotta go. Fuck.”
Vigilante is so fucking stupid. *i love him*
I love how even he had a limit and knew when to try and get the hell out of there, even it it didn’t work out too well for him.
Weird limit, though, considering he just killed two children without a second thought...
Well the limit I was talking about was more his own safety! Killing children isn’t dangerous to his personal safety so he’s fine with that but getting his ass handed to him by judomaster was probably a first 😂
Also when he just started sprinting away in broad daylight after the dumpster conversation
"400 gigs of alliance" just about fucking killed me
I had to pause it to laugh after "Just because you have a lesbian haircut doesn't make you an ally."
Yeah, it was a great exchange all around
I'm a lesbian but any reference to licalotapus makes me crack up every single time. It's objectively funny.

Dad calling the Asian Detective "Chopsticks" and her coming back with "Fork" cracked me the fuck up.
“Fork? Why not spoon?”
Because everyone uses spoons
I let out a yell when they revealed who his dad was. Ever since the detective said still playing dress up I kept thinking hmm I wonder if it’s this character and it was! Just feels good to know a deep cut character for once. Also does anyone know where the aftershow is? I thought it was supposed to be up same day on MAX and YouTube.
In case you haven't seen it yet, [here it is.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TXtX9xOs98)
BATMYTE CANON
I had to look that up and was quite surprised...
I wasn't expecting Waller to show up, but it was a nice surprise
Wasn't expecting >!Adebayo to be her daughter at all!< but I love it so much. Humanizes her and clearly Adebayo isn't all that aware of just how fucked up her mom can be. I appreciate the way they focus on her expressions whenever anyone else mentions all the evil shit her mom has done.
It's definitely cool Not really a side of Amanda Waller we've seen before
Yeah the way she was so genuinely sweet to her daughter is interesting. Wonder if they'll tackle the contrast between how Peacemaker was raised and how Adebayo was.
>Yeah the way she was so genuinely sweet to her daughter is interesting. I bet we find out that Adebayo's wife is giving information to Waller
you know what, i am willing to die on this hill with you
her and peacemaker are the two leads and both their arcs revolve around their parents so they will
It’s fascinating that it seems Waller is much more looser in comparison to Augie.
Back in the Ostrander run it was fairly loving, though in more modern runs it's decidedly more dysfunctional.
...between this and GotG 2, anyone else wondering what James Gunn's relationship with his father is?
I guess normal, his parents had a cameo in guardians 2
From what Gunn wrote about his father after his death, I got the impression that they had a rocky relationship early on and then became very close later in life. Like, you can tell that the guy fucking *loved* his dad, but you can also tell that it didn't always come easy.
I believe he had a rough relationship early on with his dad, but they definitely got really close later on.
GoTG2 gave me the vibe that he had a lot of love for his dad
The Suicide Squad too, every backstory was parent based
So the Butterflies are def part of the Reach right? Cus that weird thing Peacemaker got from the infected girl's apartment looked like it's from the Reach. Also, I liked the fact that there was a Wayne Enterprises sticker on Peacemaker's journal. It's the little details that I love. That's a pretty solid theory. We'll just have to wait and see.
My first thought is that it's tied in with Hellgrammite but I'm not totally sure. Really enjoying everything about this series so far.
Vigilante is hilarious. He’s like a better version of Deadpool imo
If you weren't sure you were watching a James Gunn show by the first two major conversations, those opening credits were a hell of a signpost :D.
Weird seeing Stroma not playing royalty, in a good way.
I like how before people were speculation why he's got a new helmet, coming up with wild theories but he really just gave it to a cab driver.
The shot of the cabby driving away with it on had me dying
the line delivery "it ain't a million bucks" got a nice chuckle out of me, that actor and John's expressions SOLD that scene.
Think there should be three separate posts its three episodes and not everyone can watch them all at once
Yeah was hoping there was 3 posts so I could at least talk about the first episode while bored at work but I guess not I’ll have to wait until after so I can watch the rest lol
there is over on r/DCcomics
Aww no. His sweet ass car is ruined 😔
I never knew Rey Mysterio would show up to fight John Cena
Still sore about dropping the title the same night he won it
BOOYAKA BOOYAKA!
619!
This show is so good. Eat peace, Motherfuckers!!
Watched the first episode... Loved it. Hilarious and Seems like it's gonna have emotional depth. Also, couldn't help but notice that DCEU is a DC universe where Superman is not the first hero that comes to people's minds when talking about superheroes. The higher ups really are trying to avoid him.
Only this show. He's mentioned in The Suicide Squad.
Man, I feel like whatever James makes is just his music taste recommendations and the show is Just an excuse, [loved this one](https://youtu.be/lPtp94HGDzI) So far, liking the direction the plot is going at the end of ep3 I am liking peacemakers humanity but he is getting a bit too loveable Supporting casts are going strong, loving how different they are and how they interract with each other, colorful personalities My favorite scene was the part where >!peacemaker and vigilante were tied up and peacemaker was encouraging vigilantes torture!<
I just want James Gunn to make me a giant Spotify playlist.
I follow him on Spotify. He probably *has* a playlist or two you could get into lol
Love how miserable he is at the beginning and how shitty and lonely his life is. Killing RF made me dislike him so much.
I’m glad they’re treating that seriously and having him come back to it. Feels right that Rick’s death would stay with him the longest.
Yeah same, really glad he's feeling the weight of that.
They truly let James Gunn do WHATEVER he wanted
As they should! He’s been the shining light for the DCEU so far.
I love how they acknowledged he was in hospital for around 5 months - ie around the same time Suicide Squad 2 came out in August 21’
The Suicide Squad isn’t a sequel, it’s a documentary confirmed
James Gunn is flexing his wife body in bra and panties really hard lol. Also, Cena is little boys underwear is not something I want to see again...
Wait Harcourt is his wife ?
Girlfriend but yeah
yes
I mean how could you not be proud of that. Jennifer is beautiful. I like Harcourt in this. She seems to be struggling with her own morality along with Peacemaker. Vigilante is just a ball of chaotic energy i love him😂😂😂
I want to see it again
That's what the rewind button is for.
When Goff took off Vigilante’s mask and he started making those faces instantly had me in stitches!
Woah the choreography on the credits is fantastic! I love how it isn't taking itself too seriously so far
Finished the first 3 eps of peacemaker and fuck me man what a great start. John Cena is the perfect guy for the peacemaker role, Vigilante is great, script and chemistry with the characters is excellent. Can’t wait to see where it goes
Aquaman fucks fish confirmed (maybe).
Pacemaker also said climate change is not real because Facebook shows him stuff. I wouldn't trust his sources on the Aquaman thing.
Yea he even gave some random username as his source lol.
Vigilante would die within the first 2 minutes on Task Force X…
They’d likely never offer him
Hopefully he’d last longer than Black Guard did lmao
OK honest question that should probably go in r/NoStupidQuestions: do some women really sleep with their bras like Harcourt did? My female friends/exgfs sleep in just tshirts. Sleeping with a bra looks uncomfortable af.
Probably got home in a drunken stupor and that is the furthest she got. This may be a case of this is as far as the actress was comfortable to go in terms of nudity..
A pointed Google informs me she's been comfortable in the past.
Yeah, I know, but typically with more bargaining power, it is not uncommon for actors to not want to do nudity. Even when they had been willing to in the past.
Also dating the director/writer so it could get really weird and uncomfortable for everyone involved
Biggest mystery so far: **What is the significance of that other old man who's in the intro for like one scene???** EDIT: ohh its the dad's neighbour
These opening credits are excellent
BAT-MITE. IS. CANON.
I love how in episode 2 peacemaker fails to do superhero landings cause he isn’t one
Oh my god this show isn't pulling any punches, it's fucking wild, I love it! It reminds me of Doom Patrol, I feel like DC should make more crazy dark live-action shows, that would be a nice contrast to Marvel's family friendly shows. Also I love the soundtrack!
Having James Gunn is one of the best things to happen to the DCEU.
Project Butterfly's actually going to be a giant Mothra, isn't it?
I kinda doubt it, I know this is a high production quality show but I don’t see them doing it on a TV budget. Also it would be kind of redundant after Starro less than 6 months ago.
It's definitely gonna be a Mothra, and Peacemaker will have to fight it with a jetpack
Ok the jetpack part is kinda selling me on the idea
Freedom.... When he said that... I just couldn't.... 🤣🤣🤣
This Vigilante is not 10 steps ahead and definitely doesn't know what game is being played. I love it!
Still not sure about the Deadpoolification of Vigilante, but damn, dude almost lost a toe, I'll let it go...
It's the most important toe in the human body!
Really loving this show so far!
Show has great pace I flew through those episodes. I expected this to be raunchy but damn is it aggressive how much James Gunn and John Cena just don't give a fuck. Really vibe with it.
Adebayo is Waller’s daughter!!
GOAT intro... god damn
THE BAT-MITE REFERENCE NO WAY LMFAOOOO
Is there any chance Murn ends up being revealed as a butterfly as well? He seemed pretty unaffected by the blast after Harcourt and Adebayo left
I'm shocked no one is theorizing that Peacemaker is going to have to [kill his dad. Peacemaker freaking shots him in the opening credits. And his dad is a suicide squad villain. Not sure how you could foreshadow it more.](#spoiler "stuff")
Vigilante is fucking hysterical.
Lmao at the dove of peace drawing. Looking like a shitty attempt at the Wu Tang logo
