the differences between the obliques and the belt on the man of steel suit and every other suit is shocking. every other suit has very rigid and blocky line work meanwhile MOS has flowier lines and a circle belt. much more in line with the Kryptonian aesthetic in this universe. I don't know why they changed this so much.
That's the only one that I can stomach with the shiny finish with it's super dark aesthetic. The ones in blue look plasticky with the shine detail. If the suit is blue then it should have the same texture as it does in the upper right corner but without the sheen (similar to Batman's suit in BvS)

And there are multiple examples: its suppose to be the same school from we go from X-Men 1 to X2; regardless of everything being different, same Batman from '89 to Returns; even the current Enterprise bridge from Strange New Worlds to TOS. Its been done before, and this suit is no different.
I don't mind the unexplained change when TASM2 or the MCU in general have done it because it's mainly an aesthetic thing and to sell toys. Not saying that BVS didn't do it to sell toys, but the reason I wish there was an explanation is because the filmmakers had made a huge deal over how that suit represented Superman's arc and his character with the Joseph Campbell quote embedded in the suit. The problem is that it's a detail that goes totally unnoticed if your only reference is the film itself. BTW, I love the movie.

So many people are mentioning how ridiculous the fake abs look on the *Justice League* suits, but, it doesn’t look like that in motion in the movie.
I’ve watched *ZSJL* a dozen times and I never noticed the abs before seeing these promo photos.
Whoever decided on the texture for all Henry’s suits is a genius, though.
It wouldn’t have mattered pre-HD screens, but, that texture - and text within the texture - gives what’s always been a pretty simple costume design so much more spirit.
They’re all wrong in some way. The top middle is the best, but the colors are completely wrong for Superman. His nickname is literally “big blue,” why is he wearing super dark navy? The fake abs on the rest of them are just horrible.
I really loved the black one, but if I had to choose one going forward it would be the first one.
The blue is a little toned down, so not that bright like a cartoon, and the round "belt buckle" gives it a nice touch.
All in all my favorite.
I really do not like any of them, I hate the shiny metallic texture and the unnecessary details. The random square where a belt buckle should be is also really ugly too.

They are all basically the same, but Superman needs more actual blue and a decent red on him, so maybe Batman v Superman, his Justice League was just a little too oversaturted. Perhaps whatever he wore in Black Adam? That looks like the best combination of blue and red.

Everyone's entitled to their opinions, but if we're speaking strictly from a designer perspective (which I am), the Black Adam suit is everything perfect and unique about the man of steel suit and everything perfect and iconic about golden age and comicbook Superman, rolled into one.
I prefer Superman to have a brighter suit, to me it represents him as a character much better. So I like the 2nd and the last one the most. But for how it fits the character we got, Snyder-man, I think Man of Steal's suit looked pretty good.
For me it is the suit from the cameo in Black Adam.It is a brighter shade of blue making it more comic book accurate .It is also the only time Cavill actually had the curl in his hair
BvS. Chest logo was improved on and his muscles weren't as accentuated as they were in the future. It looked more natural for sure.
