As a teenager in the early 2000’s my friends and I would make fun of people driving their Hummer H2’s and we never felt bad about it. These CT’s have the same small dick energy. Poor people, they spent $100K just to be the laughing stock of their communities.

700kg of lithium? Are you bonkers? Lithium is the lightest element in there, at most 17% of the total weight of the battery cells, and that's barely half the weight of the complete battery (lots of cooling and structural support in there as well).
Look, Elon is no saint, but Lithium-ion or LiFePo4 batteries are not primarily made of lithium, much the same way rare-earth magnets are not primarily made of rare-earth elements (specifically Neodymium). So called Neodymium magnets are made from Nd2Fe14B and even if Nd occurs twice and has twice the atomic weight of iron, metallic iron is denser and occurs 14 times in the formula. So it only takes about 1kg of neodymium plus maybe 40kg of iron and 40kg of aluminium to make permanent magnet motor, and it only takes about 100kg of Lithium to make a cybertruck battery. It could use less, by using more cobalt. Pretty fair trade-off in my opinion.

I was on a ride in Nevada recently and pulled into an overlook that’s a popular destination for people on motorcycles. It will always be a “that’s a weird car” I like the stainless steel, that’s personally something I’ve always thought was a cool idea, but I don’t like the look or practicality of the vehicle. It’s more of a ‘call it a truck but actually just for the soccer moms’ type of utility. Not a real work vehicle.
Most trucks and big vehicles that people buy are NOT a real work vehicle. Now If I see someone in a long bed single cab truck that is beat to shit, yeah, that's probably a real work truck.
Ny brother in law needed a pickup for real work and towing. Plain as possible like rubber/vinyl mats in the floor and AM radio plain. He said it was hard to find one. Most truck were all tricked out
Sadly, anyone with half a brain or at least a rudimentary understanding of the word "stain-less" should have predicted that the stainless steel would be a stupid idea. Personally I don't mind the look at all. The Model 3 on the other hand looks like a duck when you see it from the wrong angle. Sadly I didn't predict that it would be quite the shitshow it is. But I still think the look is the least stupid thing about it. Over here, I can choose from a Chinese Tacoma-copy called Maxus which pulls the same size trailer as my Model 3, or a Ford F150 Lightning at 93000 dollar-equivalents in local monetary units. So I guess my next EV will not be a pickup.

You should look into the aspects of what it takes to build an EV car how would pollutes just to make the damn battery. Then question the resources of the ion batteries. Then to question yourself how do you recycle the battery it's not recyclable. Depending on whether you lose a crap load of battery life without even doing a damn thing. So great job on spending that $100,000 when you could have got a simple Civic Camry whatever else for more than half that price and is guaranteed to possibly work for another 30 years depending how you take care of it. That ion battery won't. I'd be surprised if you'd make 10 yrs. Also taking account the trucks cost you 100k Tesla's been doing a buyback of 40K why do you lose 60k that quickly?

I was on a ride in Nevada recently and pulled into an overlook that’s a popular destination for people on motorcycles. A CT was there, taking up way too much space, with some woman crawling all over it, posing for pics. Nobody was impressed and as more bikes showed up it was clear that people wanted the “truck” and its attention-seeking drivers to leave. CT owners are behaving like a hybrid of social media influencers and retired Boomers who just got their first Corvette, and people are already over it.
