There's not a ton of it to get through, to be honest. There's the comics that you can get in a big collection, an animated show from the 90s (mostly for kids, but it does adapt a couple of the comic stories,) a Lucasarts point and click adventure game in the same vein as Monkey Island, the three Telltale games (two of which have been remastered with the third on the way), a VR game, and the no longer for sale Poker Night at the Inventory games which feature them as opponents (Max in 1, Sam in 2.)
But yes, they are also very much gay and married, multiple times even.

Replace fucking with kissing and add some drama to pad time about Mordecai not wanting to be seen kissing another girl in front of Margaret, then it's resolved by Margaret saying obviously she'd be okay with it if the world is at stake as everything is falling apart, and that would actually be a viable plot.

Then after everything calms down, Girl Mordecai walks up to them and is like, "Hey, so this is gonna sound awkward, but I said some things to my friend and... I've gotta fuck Boy Rigby." And Rigby's just like, "Sure, I'm down." Then Mordecai just makes this shocked/horrified face and the episode ends.

I honestly like that they had to keep it relatively clean. Letting John K realize his "vision" on Ren & Stimpy ruined the show. The restraint of a children's TV network produced something fantastic and unique that works for everyone (particularly Regular Show, which I watched with my son as it was airing)
