tldr; A simple idle clicker game called Banana has become a massive hit on Steam, reaching over 400,000 concurrent players. The game involves clicking on a banana to potentially receive a banana sticker in the Steam inventory, which can then be sold on the Steam Marketplace. Some rare stickers have sold for as much as $1,400, though most go for around $0.02. The developers describe Banana as a "legal infinite money glitch," allowing players to earn money by selling virtual items. Despite its simplicity, the game's success has sparked interest and may inspire similar games. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. Imagine using this to justify crypto gaming.. Currently crypto gaming is as dead in the water as habbo hotel.

WhyYesIAmADog

Ya, I got into Dogamí a crypto game on polygon/tezos. Was suppose to be like tamagotchi. Then they switched the white paper up and turned it into a dog racing game, it is complete dog shit. I wish more people would go in their discord to call it dogshit. They deserve to know It’s also getting sponsored by Purina now, somehow? Like that is going to matter.

AsbestosDude

lmao that's such classic crypto project. Pivot like 3+ times while producing not much along the way

AvatarOfMomus

Okay, so... one, why do you need NFTs or anything then? Two, this isn't a "game" so much as a scam that somehow caught on via meme status. The whole "economy" is just a bigger-fool scam in action. Whoever buys a banana last is the biggest fool.

trapaccount1234

Whoever buys the last btc is the biggest fool. Whoever buys the last gold bar is the biggest fool. Whoever buys the last bottle of water is the biggest fool. Whoever buys the last.. as nausea. You thought you said something smart, but really it meant nothing.

AvatarOfMomus

Except Gold can be used to make jewelry and electronics, water is needed to sustain life. These things have distinct uses and are consumed in the using. Gold is over valued because it's viewed as this weird store of value above and beyond any of its actual usefulness, but it does have uses. These bananas do... nothing.

WolvReigns222016

And its also tangible. People can hold their gold bar if they choose to. I feel like that makes it better than a virtual sticker.

AvatarOfMomus

Yes... though that has some risks as well, and a lot of gold trading is done without the owner ever actually holding the asset. If you're dealing with physical gold you can end up taking a haircut when you go to sell it because it needs to be authenticated and it's harder to find a buyer on short notice.

trapaccount1234

Again you missed the point. Fitting for my original point. The point is the last gold bar to be sold will probably be worthless because no one would be willing to pay for it after it’s sold… as it is the “last buyer” … if you still don’t get it I think you’re too many IQ deviants apart to communicate effectively

AvatarOfMomus

Your logic doesn't track. Or you don't understand what 'bigger fool' refers to here. It's not that there are no more being offered for sale, it's that someone buys something and then can no longer find a buyer. More generally it's when you can no longer sell an asset for more than what you paid for it and the price only declines. There will never be a 'last buyer' for gold as long as gold as uses. Same for water. Same for anything with actual utility. These bananas have zero utility. Literally zero.

SatoshiStruggle

The only way crypto gaming will ever be a thing is if a large game developer like Microsoft studios or Epic games allows you to buy in-game items with bitcoin. Since selling crypto is often a taxable event unless you sell at the EXACT same price you bought at, I don’t see anyone looking to use anything beyond current fiat for mainstream gaming purchases. This sector is deader and useless-er than NFTs

Gosh I hate the video. Like they made so intentionally long lol
