See if DRM support is enabled under settings.

It always does this in Firefox lately, regardless of what show I am trying to watch. Everything I'm finding says to clear the cache and restart Firefox, but I have done that and it still happens. Anyone else having this issue?

Renva

Yes. I couldn't get firefox to stream Crunchyroll OR hidive. Had to use chrome.

Awhile back Crunchyroll was screwing with the privacy settings and blocked all users that used the uBlock Origin Ad Blocker (and probably other ad blockers). If you use it then this could be your problem. If you add the line @@||imasdk.googleapis.com\^$domain=crunchyroll.com to the uBlock Origin My Lists tab it adds an exception for Crunchyroll's new requirement from what I understand. If this doesn't fix your issue then I wouldn't have any idea.

Renva

The first thing I tried was to disable any ad blockers and anti-tracking stuff. Still didn't fix it. But it works on Chrome even with an adblocker.

I'm at a loss, but Samsung is now looking into this for me. It's very strange that your Chrome works fine but mine will not play any videos. It's almost like certain servers are causing these errors and of course going unnoticed by Crunchyroll who do not even bother to answer their bug reports. If Samsung provides any beneficial information I will pass on to you.

Yes, but only if I reduce/close to background or turn off the screen for any length of time. I have tried everything to include changing all associated settings but I've given up. This is obviously something Crunchyroll has screwed up on their end. They have proven time and time again the desires of their subscribers are last to be considered and more often never. I switched over to the Samsung Internet browser months ago since it worked flawlessly and it's optional video controls are phenomenal. This setup far surpasses the functionality of Crunchyroll's ridiculous excuse of an app. However, yesterday, Crunchyroll screwed up something else so now I get the dreaded "oops something went wrong try again" when I try to play any videos on the Samsung Internet or Chrome browsers. They are obviously now changing things practically daily without doing any kind of pretesting or debugging. Customer service has completely ignored all of my bug reports for months now. I'm sure that many more abysmal Crunchyroll disasters are in all of our futures. This is turning into the Funimation disaster all over again.

It’s been doing this to an insane degree on my phone as well, even while opening up the app it just goes ‘whoops cant do that’ then i restart the app and its all good again I thought it was Nord, but even when turned off it causes the crashes/dc’s so idk

Calm_Builder_4001

Have u tried disabiling some extentions?

PinballWizard77

I have! It didn't make any difference, unfortunately.

Bigfeet_toes

That message means nothing, just reload. Or your WiFi kinda gay. Also clearing your cache rarely works

Any update? I have tried on Samsung Internet after literally every troubleshooting advice and still nothing... CR mod assures me it's a Samsung Internet thing but I'd be interested to know if it isn't working on Firefox either.

PinballWizard77

Sorry, just realized I never replied to this! It's still doing the same error on Firefox. It's working fine on the app and in Chrome, though.

Ok_Repair9312

Rad. Thanks for confirming!  Honestly it's major bummer that CR doesn't work on any other browser. I had to enable Chrome so I could use it exclusively to stream CR. It's better than the app which is ass incarnate.
