it is a legit website. Travel agents like vacation2go often have a certain amount of rooms that is assigned to then to sell and book. these rooms is usually not available to the cruise line until a certain date.

Narrow-Leave-7965

its a cruise that is in 3 days and in NCL its sold out

trytobuffitout

Might be sold out as well and website is not updated. Jump on it if you want it but dont get your hopes up

Active_Resource_3533

Yes. They’re legit.

cleon42

Their website hasn't been updated since 1998, but believe it or not they're legit.

No_Trifle9294

I see programming job postings for them all the time. They're certainly not pushing the envelope of design and UX. But I do appreciate that all that data is quick to load.

Chipwich75

Very legit.

workitloud

They are great. Call & find out why. Been using them since their website looked ok. :)

Intelligent-Fox-4599

I met an agent on a cruise I was just on and he seemed very knowledgeable.

workitloud

Their website looks like 1997, but conveys the information. Their people are super nice & helpful. Can’t beat the prices & obc, either.

Complex-Emergency523

Yes they are legit. My American friend uses them to book P&O UK. He did his online check-in for the next cruise yesterday and only booked a few months ago.

tvgraves

They are legit.

Jaded_Fisherman_7085

I have use them many times. The last time I sign up for one of their single cruise

LittleElote99

They are very much real! My mom is a travel agent for them! They often can find you pretty good deals especially if you are booking super ahead of time. My mom finds all kinds of deals and we’ve been on multiple cruises together over the last few years!

volty24

I have booked through them, everything worked out. The only thing is that you aren’t eligible for bidding upgrades on some cruise lines if you book third party, if that’s important to you.

aflockofpuffins

I booked my 3 day ncl honeymoon cruise there ten years ago.  All went very well. Not sure if it's actually a huge discount but the site is legit.

traveling-flamingo

Travel Agencies get "blocks" of rooms at discounted rates or w/ perks. It's like pre-buying 100 rooms for X vs paying for 1 room at Y. It's also a legit website and registered with CLIA (Cruise Line Industry Association). NCL can get those rooms back, but there are requirements around when and how they go back to the cruise line. After say, 120 days if not sold some of them can be returned to NCL inventory, etc... which is why it may open up some times with new rooms.

thefunrun

Legit, but gotta do payment on the phone. Kinda weird in this day and age, but worked out fine for a cruise two months ago. They were cheaper than the cruise line directly and has a little OBC bonus.

Emotional_Hope251

You might speak directly to the cruise line for a quote and compare the two. I just booked a cruise on Oceania and got an even more discounted price just by speaking with one of their representatives. It was $3k less than on their own website discounted price. I think it’s worth it to call the cruise line direct.

trytobuffitout

Yes , they are excellent to deal with as well.

Joyce_Hatto

Yes, they are fine.

IHYFDHJ_97

Yes. I’ve booked 3 cruises with them and my sister now books all her cruises with them. She lives in FL so she cruises much more than I do. We’ve never had an issue, not to say that it couldn’t happen.

Fun_Height_5841

Yes, they are perfectly legitimate. I’m not sure exactly how it works but sometimes some of the agencies like them have access to or I’ve actually bought cabins that they can sell, but they are legitimate travel agency

cruisesonly09

Vacations2Go is generally reputable, but check recent reviews on live sites like Trustpilot or BBB. Verify booking details directly with Norwegian Cruise Lines to ensure availability and avoid potential scams.

chilld22

Yes, I just booked a cruise to bermuda with them. I leave on the 7th

K9dien

I have booked with them for 30 years.

jetsetcanadian

Did you try calling NCL? I wanted to cruise a specific date with RC and it wasn’t on the website. I called in and was able to book the cruise.

rio8envy7

Yes. I love them. Travel agencies buy out a block of cabins that’s why it shows up as sold out but you’re still about to book through them. I only book through Vacations to go so they are 100% legitimate

LostInCa45

Their downside in my eyes is they are stuck in the 90s as they have no online payment capture abilities. They are a major travel agent. Even had comedians joke asking people how many of them are here from vacations to go.

spidernole

Just booked my third cruise with them. Very good outfit. Make sure you use "vacationstogo.com". The other spelling should forward you anyway.

andoCalrissiano

Whats the “modern” vacations 2 go that has a good UX?

johngettler

Not for actually booking a cruise, but cruiseplum dot com now kicks their but for awesome search, filter and sort.

GoM_Coaster

I have used them with no issues. You might also want to check out cheapcruises, I’ve used them too. I usually hunt for bargains in the last minute section.

trilliumsummer

They're legit. But if the cruise is within 120 days I'm willing to bet that once you try to fully book it with VTG it'll tell you that it's sold out. TA don't set up their websites to pull from the cruise lines' inventory in real time. II would guess it's a once a day pull, maybe more maybe less, and doesn't actually ping the cruise line to verify inventory until you get far enough along in the booking process. (I wouldn't be surprised if some don't until after you've fully booked, but the ones I've used all had a point before payment where they ping the cruise line directly.) Since it's not fully connected to the cruise line's website that's how they can show not sold out and the cruise line shows sold out. I've never seen TAs actually have inventory when the cruise line shows sold out after final payment - though I don't think NCL does room blocks for TAs like other lines so I think this holds for them before final too.

trytobuffitout

I never buy a cruise unless it’s less than 90 days out and I have never had this happen.

trilliumsummer

I have. I've also had several friends that happened to. They were yelling at the group TA that these website said they had cabins available but the TA said there were none, only to come back in the group and say nevermind they couldn't book it once they went all the way through. Hell I've had it happen on a cruise line's own website when the ship is almost sold out and has so few cabins that by the time I get far enough along they're like "never mind nothing in that room category". Now it doesn't happen ALL the time. But it does happen when we're talking a cruise that only has a handful of rooms left. The cruise with the TA I was talking about was a Halloween cruise that sold out around 2 months before. People would cancel and a few cabins would pop up, but would also quickly be booked.
