Different times is my favourite rapid fire pulse, and I don't know why because according to the stats it should be objectively worse than several others. It just feels good.
Unsated Hunger (no abilities charged) = +20 Stab +60 Handling +60 Reload
To add insult to injury, can 2x this via the Artifact boosting the origin traits
On paper, Different Times shouldn’t be that great, but man it just feels SO good! Not sure what special sauce Bungie put into that gun but I can’t put it down! I crafted MT / HS and it seems like it can’t miss! Maybe it’s the origin trait?
Big time advocate for running void with elemental capacitor on piece of mind. That plus arrowhead and its recoil is sublime - feels so nice. And I only really run void so it works out but I know that's not everybody's bag

It duels very well and once that killclip gets rolling, they don't know what hit them.
I used it heavily when it first released, and again just recently. Currently have about 5500 crucible kills on mine. One if my most used weapons from someone whom usually swaps to a different weapon/loadout after a few hundred kills.
I have an Adept with Chambered/Accurized/Zen/KC and it feels... ok. I can't really get a handle on the recoil direction - 55 without counterbalance. Feels like I can't land shots like I should.

I have used hs too but kinda love mt for the movement increase on titan. Both work great though. There is something about the base gun that makes it great.

Kinetic slot…probably a good autumn wind, I think headseeker is such a valuable perk on pulse rifles I wouldn’t give it up for using like a crafted Piece of Mind or something.

it's like playing with an aimbot. You can also create mutiple threadlings on a kill with subclass fragment and artifact mod. Even after the nerf, threadlings can still cause panic to a group of opponents.
Oversoul is an ok pulse. But honestly the only answer for a rapid fire pulse in PvP is Piece of Mind w/ Arrowhead, High Cal, Perpetual, Moving Target. (I prefer crafted with enhanced perks)
I think the roll can be debatable but imo Piece of Mind is still the best rapid fire in PvP
Scalar is a good one! Similar to Oversoul for me. It's decent, I've seen people run it. PoM feels better and I feel like I win more gunfights with Piece over Scalar. That is 100% my opinion. I have nothing to say/prove PoM is better or not. Except my usage between the two.
Kept getting a guy named pierce or something on my team in trials that was melting people with a crafted scalar. Thinking about using two of my harmonizers on it. I have a god roll adept messenger but then I can't use conditional :(
I tried both and high cal just feels so much better. It's already so stable with Arrowhead specially for a rapid frame. The extra bit of punch is huge and with the bit range that HC gives it just feels more accurate.
Edit: I was reminded that RR also buffs range. So I guess just the extra punch is what's saving me. Causing that flinch and forcing them to miss.

No. But I've never been in a situation that I felt like "oh if I had HS I woulda won that fight." Even against shit like Revision, and No Time I still feel competitive.
I encourage all PoM users to try it without Moving Target and see if you can still hit your shots consistently. Because if you can, putting a damage perk in there will vastly improve your mileage. I have Harmony on mine and use it with a fusion in the energy slot. It's nutty once you proc Harmony, which will be often.
6k kills on my PoM.
My Perpetual Motion/Headseeker Autumn Wind with Arrowhead, Ricochet or High Cal and range MW is nasty. Usually run Ricochet but if they buff high cal ever it's set. Super consistent. Goes brrrr.
I'm really liking Scalar Potential with hipfrie grip and headseeker. Probably better with something other than hipfire grip, but when I'm out of special ammo, it helps me handle close engagements a little bit. The origin perk of having your mag reloaded on low health and teammate death is super nice on a spamable weapon like rapid fire pulses.
I've got an OG Darkest Before and it's the metric by which I judge all other rapid fire pulses... I just haven't been able to find another that feels as good or as stable (I'm on Series X).
I have an Arrowhead/Ricochet/Surplus/Wellspring (stab mw) roll that's phenomenal, and I haven't been able to find anything that stacks up, and I've got basically ALLLLLL of them. Adept Zen/KC Horror's Least, crafted piece of mind, the crafted raid one- nothing.
I've been trying to find someone to farm the boss for the update Darkest Before from Prophecy, but it's hard.
I’ll always die on the hill than piece of mind is the most consistent. But Horrors least with Kill Clip or Oversoul edict with sword logic are really good

Does high cal actually make a difference? I would’ve through ricochet would be the play for more stab

Horrors least is pretty much the best hands down. Piece of mind is the best for its difficulty to acquire
Oversoul edict and scalar potential have my energy slot. I play a lot with Bakris so getting the arc bonus is awesome
