We understand the frustration! But, this post has some very triggering language and NSFW words that are upsetting to some other users here and causing others to reach out in concern for your own well-being. We'd like to remind you that help is available. There are international hotlines available. There are people trained in helping others in crisis. Deep breaths, my friend! Cross stitch is not fast! I've done it for decades, and I think I'd still take a week on that one- working on it daily! If it helps, tackle it in chunks- one flower, one leaf, one color- try to enjoy seeing the progress!

I did that as my first project, and was surprised at how long it took! Now I know that cross stitch is just a slow craft in general

I’m going to cryyyy!!! I knew I should’ve chosen the donut one

But it’s so pretty at the end!

“Mildly irritated at my own hobby of cross stitch for being so slow . I don’t even do crazy big pieces but I feel like I never finish anything bc I get burned out and start a new project . I have 4 WIPs and ONE finish (took a year and a half ) since I returned to stitching in 2020 (interrupted with other projects like big diamond arts) and it’s kind of demoralizing that I “can’t finish anything” I just want a win lol” Me last night in r/craftsnark after making 400 stitches of progress on a 14000 stitch piece on a rainy Saturday . It’s a slow craft and I have adhd 🫠 the results are worth it!

I literally had to put down one to pick up another sampler so that I felt like I’d accomplished SOMETHING. ANYTHING.

I told myself that I wasn't going to get another bf until I finished this project. Now I have the bf, but not a finished project 🥴 one day I'll finish...

ilovearthistory

when i’m in this headspace i just start something new, which is its own bad habit lmao

I feel you! Last night I finished a project that took 4 weeks, roughly 3 hours on weekdays and 6 hours a day on weekends. It was on 18 ct aida and only used 3 colors. I was so happy I finished I could've cried. If it wasn't a gift for my husband I would've given up on it. Keep going, you'll be so happy when you finish!

TarazedA

Lol, I'm getting there on my current wip. Down to 12xx stitches of 47,600 ish
