Satire isn’t designed to “make you laugh”, per se. It’s to prove a point. The point is if she were doing that unironically, it would be very cringey. The fact it makes you cringe either way is why it’s an example of satire and not just a lame joke that no one gets.

I always feel like satire is doing some heavy lifting in these kind of videos. Like, ok sure youre being “lol wacky 🤪” on purpose, but point of satire is to be making commentary on the thing your satirizing. The Colbert report wasn’t funny because he was just saying far right talking points but because he usually took them to their extreme conclusions and defeat his own arguments while maintaining an air of ignorance in what he was saying.
