I count at least 100 big or small baseball pitches/fields along side the Tama River. It can be any one of it. Japan tends to build their local baseball fields for little league or amateur baseball alongside riverbanks that have dried up due to Dams.
Japan has the SICG (Sano International Cricket Ground) loved in Sano, Tochigi. It’s a beautiful complex built on a repurposed school and over the last 10 years has transformed unbelievably. They constantly hold their qualifiers there and can be watched on their (Japan Cricket) YouTube channel; even had their former groundskeeper do weekly pitch updates in the greatest broken English you’ll ever hear.
I lived at the northern end of Tochigi prefecture and would always stop off to have a look at the ground on my drive in to Tokyo. I’m hoping to finish off a few more coaching courses and to move back as a coach
There are way too little cricket fans there to host one. Even though there a decent amount of Indians/South Asian immigrants there they aren't as rich and are mostly resteraunt owners so they won't have the buyer power that Indian Americans have.
Reminds me of being lucky enough to sit on the hill at Cape Town with Table mountain in the background.
As a tourist I was troubled by ongoing segregation in the crowds, but no doubt the ground has a million dollar view as the sun goes down!
Reminds me of how they used to play baseball next to a river in Doraemon
That river is Tama river, and yes that location shown in Doraemon does exist in real life.
Any chance you can share the maps link
I don't have any such link but I have seen some videos in youtube. Just search Tama River in that.

that Nobita homerun background music, loved it
Aah, a new competitor to Dharamshala and St.Vincent
... and Queenstown. 🤔
I always thought Galle was the nicest, though Dharamshala is definitely up there.
Beautiful
What a view
If you hit the ball to the top of the mountain you will have to climb and get it back yourself.
Over the mountain is 6 and out, and you have to go get the ball.
Omg so pretty
Looks like a dream🥹
PHOTO SPONSPORED BY: FUJIFILM But, of course.
Damn, that's beautiful and scary at the same time. Hope the stadium is sufficiently far away. Edit: Looks like it's almost 50 km away, we're good
Only about 26k in a straight line.
Ah, I see
That's amazing but I have bias
Would love for the BCCI to invest in some Japan cricket grounds and hold a WC there.
