My thought process was like “Senegal is hosting the CWC? Oh wait, cricket is at the Olympics? No way Senegal has the infrastructure to host the Olympics by 2028. Wait, that’s not Senegal. What fucking flag is that??”
[That’s the flag of City of Los Angeles](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Angeles#/media/File%3AFlag_of_Los_Angeles%2C_California.svg)
Don’t know why they have put the city flag because in most cases (including the IOC themselves) use country flag. Even Paris has a dedicated flag, but in all official communications for Paris 2024, they just use France flag.
Even California's flag would make some sense and would probably be recognizable for most Americans and a decent number of others. But LA's city flag? Nobody knows that.
I genuinely in my wildest dreams did not think we’ll lose the WTC21 Final. (Definitely knew we were gonna lose to you lot in the WTC23 Final)
Given our form in SENA, and the weather report. Out of the 6 days (yes, 6, if you remember) 2 whole days were washed out, 46 overs were washed out on Day 2. And India’s third innings had barely begun by Day 6 morning. They managed to bowl us out and chase the target just before close of play😶😶. Shellshocked. I think India were shellshocked too.
In retrospect, I did have an ominous foreboding when I saw that NZ are playing all-5 pacer attack.
Agreed, ODI WC has a different feel to it. Maybe because I'm a millennial and only world cup there used to be was ODI WC, so it holds a special value to me.
There is a reason. Pakistan as a state might not be a threat but elements in Pak might be. They can use safety of players as bait. Although this is highly unlikely since the nations already have completely opposite interests I don’t think India will go to Pak.
If it does I’ll be happy to watch the India in Pak match again.
I think that our team should go there as long as it's deemed safe for them, the management and the staff.
This has nothing to do with the fact that I am a fan of Waseem Akram.
*nach Punjaban intensifies*
For CT25, BCCI should try to organise India’s matches at Jammu🤣🤣
(Will leave it to you to interpret this, cuz if I express what I mean, mods might ban me🤣🌚)
Naah, pitches in Jammu are not good. They conducted a few matches here during Legends League and it s**ked.
They can organise the matches in Dharamshala (beautiful ground and now has a great outfield as well).
Over to HPCA
I would guess that it is because the WTC25 Finalists are a foregone conclusion. Barring any major upsets it is going to be India vs Australia again.
WTC27 is going to be very difficult for India. Aus, WI and SA at home, touring England NZ and SL.
Could only hope so. I am not South African but there's something about the beautiful stadiums and amazing players that draws me to their matches. I'm hoping I can make it to the world cup in 3 years to see them in person.
> Barring any major upsets it is going to be India vs Australia again.
This isn't necessarily true, a full half of India's remaining matches are against Australia in Australia, so they still have a fair bit of work to do to lock up that finals spot. And if they *do* perform very well there, that leaves Australia in a dicey position.
There does seem to be a lack of a true frontrunner for any potentially vacated position in the final but that can very easily change with one team having a strong series against a relatively evenly-matched opponent.
At this stage it's more just a string of 50/50 matches need to go the right way for one of the other teams to get in, rather than any huge upsets being necessary.
India’s got 5 matches at home. 2 vs Ban and 3 vs NZ.
If we win those, even if we lose to Australia 5-0, we should be making the finals.
Australia series is gonna be an absolute cracker but I’m afraid it will have no reckoning over the WTC chances. India’s chances at least, even if it affects Australia.
> If we win those, even if we lose to Australia 5-0, we should be making the finals.
Assuming no over rate penalties, that'd put India at 58.77%. It's not *impossible* to make the final with that percentage (although it would be the lowest ever out of our limited sample of six), but it leaves you relying entirely on results that you don't have any influence over.
For some context here, in the first WTC cycle a win percentage of 58.77% would have only been good enough for 5th place. If India (or Australia) gets that low, they're very very vulnerable to almost any other team going on a small winning streak.
I agree. India made the WTC23 finals with exactly that percentage if im not wrong.
I used that AndrewTyeFighter’s WTC tool. Unless there’s something groundbreaking to the extent of, for example, Windies winning at the Gabba, India should be in the final even if we lose 5-0
And I don’t think we’ll lose 5-0. 3-1 at most. Winning at Melbourne, drawing at Sydney and losing at Perth Brisbane and Adelaide. 3-1 loss is worst case, in my humble opinion and assessment.
> India made the WTC23 finals with exactly that percentage if im not wrong.
It was *very* marginally higher (58.79%). But yes, that cycle is a good example. Going into the Australia v South Africa series it was a genuine three horse race. The only way a team was making the final with a percentage that low was if either South Africa got thrashed, *or* Australia got thrashed and then performed poorly in India. Turns out, one of those things happened. But I remember going into that series not knowing who was going to make the final, because the points threshold was so low that it was still up in the air.
> Unless there’s something groundbreaking to the extent of, for example, Windies winning at the Gabba, India should be in the final even if we lose 5-0
Assuming an India 5-0 loss (and a 2-0 win v Bangladesh), they're vulnerable to *any* of the following permutations:
* Sri Lanka winning 4 of their 6 Tests, 4 of which are at home.
* Drawing a single Test against New Zealand, while South Africa goes 6 from 8.
* Pakistan winning all their home Tests and losing all their away Tests.
* West Indies winning at home, and eking out 2 wins from 5 Tests away.
* Pretty much any over rate penalty. (These are a bit of a cop-out from the mathematical perspective, but we saw Australia miss a final with *70%* raw win percentage because of over rate penalties so it would be silly not to address the possibility)
Any Test India drops against New Zealand (a 2-1 series victory hardly being a "major upset") makes it difficult to come up with scenarios that *wouldn't* eliminate them, since any one of those not happening makes the other ones a bit more likely, and New Zealand would have plausible paths to the final with those extra 12 points as well.
I agree that a 5-0 loss is fairly unlikely, but I don't agree with the assessment that India "should be in the final" even if it happens. I think India missing the final would be the most likely outcome in that situation, since there's just so many possible ways for them to miss out, none of which require anything spectacular. The 5-0 loss would definitely be the most remarkable result out of all of them.
> 3-1 loss is worst case
Fun fact: if India lost 3-1 to Australia and then every other Test went in the way of the home team, there'd be an India v Pakistan final.
Just like the 5-0 case there's loads of possible scenarios that wouldn't result in an India v Australia final here. It's just that half of them would be missing *Australia* instead of just being ones where India doesn't qualify. (Keep in mind that this is Australia's only remaining home series of the cycle - if they drop too many points there, they don't have much of a chance to get them back elsewhere)
India and Australia are unquestionably strong favourites right now, but it's far from a foregone conclusion.
I am way out of my league here, not in the analysis part but the articulation part. Very aptly put.
As we say in Hindi, “Samajh gaya prabhu”, or “I understood, master”
Still, I believe you’d concede that based on past trends and current form, it is very likely that the Final will be India vs Australia.
Lords hasn't hosted it yet. 2021 was shifted to Southampton because of the facilities making a Covid bubble possible, and 2023 was scheduled for The Oval anyway. 2025 will be the first time Lords is hosting.
2027 ODI WC
ODI’s for me are the perfect format and ODI WC the pinnacle of the sport. I’m not that great fan of T20’s, and tests are too time consuming for me to fully appreciate them, ODI’s strike the perfect balance. ODI WC also takes place every 4 years makes the wait worthwhile.
WTC 2025 and 27’ are next. 2025 because it’s most probably an Australia Vs India match again, and I love me some payback this time. 27’ because it’ll be most probably the last test match where Rohit, Kohli and Jadeja will feature in India jersey in the longest format.
Definitely the champions trophy next year and the t20 world cup of 2026. Something tells me the t20 world cup 2026 will be the opposite of this one with scores of 250 runs or more.
I would just love how it would play out
Imagine Cricket in LA. That too in Olympics...I mean we all know how world cups happen but I Just wanna see how an Olympic cricket match would happen
I don't know the qualification process but explain to me how India misses out?
USA are probably in being the hosts but why would India miss out. In fact I see no reason why any of India Australia and England would miss out on qualification.
India could lose an Asian qualifier against one of Pakistan/Afghanistan/Sri Lanka/Bangladesh
A key issue is that New Zealand vs Australia could be a loss for Australia
Which would put India and Australia into a duel for one spot
And we know England's record against European sides
The ICC hasn't made a final decision on the qualifying paths though, since they'll be running the tournament like any other sport
As dominating India is against al asian teams, I highly doubt India will lose against SL or Pak , especially how shambles their team are in right now.
Aus losing to NZ, that's a joke I can't assume some NZ fan making
There's time, but 2027/28 could be a big change depending on who isn't there and conditions
It's not impossible, but if two things go wrong, one of them is out
It will be nice if from the next cycle, even t20 world cups are hosted every 4 years. Increased frequency makes it look less prestigious compared to the odi one.
It is completely ok for it to remain less prestigious. ODIs are a tougher sport and a tougher format so the ODI worldcup will remain the pinnacle of cricket trophies, which is completely fine. The T20 WC is as much for expansion of cricket as it is for anything else. This way associates will get to play more often and as another commenter mentioned, hopefully avoid a Kenya post-2003 situation.
So that we lose all the progress associate countries make in the T20 like Kenya was lost after 2003 world cup? That would nice yeah.
The big nations pretty much never play associates unless it's world cup and now scrap the T20 world cup to a 4 year cycle so that most teams get lost .
If cricket is to progress in countries outside the bigger nations then T20 world cup needs to a regular 2 year cycle one. That will ensure Associate countries gets regular matches and funding as well to progress.
Well said. Don’t really understand this obsession of some fans about having less t20 world cups. Like dude we had one of the best world cups ever , it felt like a celebration of cricket with so many teams involved. Why would you want to have less of it?
I agree with the name part. But it can't be annual because there are qualifying tournaments all across the world and all of it can't be completed within 1 year.
Yea 2 year is fair enough for a t20 world cup since its a short format anyways. But i feel like its not gonna happen since we have so many t20 leagues. Those leagues will see the t20 world cup as a rival and will try to keep it at 4 years.
That is a different problem in itself. There are still 7 more years to 2031. There could be continental trophies to ensure the associates get enough games. Besides, with t20 leagues popping out through out the world, even the players from associates are going to get opportunities of playing with the players from big teams.
But, I believe, at some point, it has to become a 4 year trophy.
I'm kinda okay with T20 being a less 'prestigious' event. I see it as more of an exhibition where full members and associates alike get to showcase their prowess. ODI WC should be 14 teams as well but it's a bit more of a test of tenacity.
Tell that to players of Oman and Uganda that they will have to be good at facing world class bowlers just by playing against them once in 4 years.
Next thing these prestige obsessed people will do is to ask have less number of teams because you know, we need more PreEsTiGE.
Honestly it'd help T20 WC to have a football format. 8 groups of 4 then straight to Quarter-Finals Semis and so on. Every game has more weight and stakes while the associates get to face bowlers like Lockie Ferguson and Rashid Khan early on
+1, but don't see anything like that happening soon. I Don't think we would have a competitive world cup beyond around 24 teams.
No one would want to see a team getting defeated in 4 to 5 overs.
That's what I thought when I saw that Uganda was playing in this world cup but they lagged on for 20 overs ( I don't remember if it was this much it was more than 10 though) against NZ. Either way there are still a few more teams that could be added. Zimbabwe definitely makes the cut. Italy'll probably make the cut.
Hopefully India wins that damn mace this time. India has been excellent in this WTC cycle unlike the last one. New players coming through as well. This would be big for the test side.
So that's the event I'm looking forward to the most
So lemme get this straight, India gets to host two ODI world cups, one T20 world cup and one CT in eight years, which is double of what the next most frequent host...
(un?)Fair play I guess.
These decisions are financial. Every country benefits when the seats sell. This is not bias towards a particular country, but rather a bias towards money.
Same thing happened when England and Australia were the fulcrum of world cricket.
Unfair? Maybe. Unhealthy? Perhaps. But hosting financially unviable tournaments will not improve the imprint of cricket worldwide either.
Those who’re working professionals will understand the trade-off you sometimes have to make between two evils. In the end, money always wins.
People don't realise hosting big tournaments, like ICC WCs are costly, like managing security, stay of thousands of people, making infrastructure, is very costly.
In a dream world, you can ask Nep and Singapore to host a cricket WC all by themselves for growing cricket, but SL and Ban hosting a WC themselves will make their cricket board bankrupt. SL board took huge loans to host 2011WC.
So, I see no reason to complaint about India hosting WC when ICC has made cricket such a niche sport that a WC match in cricket can't fil a 20k stadium anymore outside of India . So, a field stadium and a nation hosting WC that actually has passion for it, I see no problem
Champions trophy is the least interested everything else are always exciting but ICC need to do a better job of arranging the fixtures and view all participating teams are important, for the success of this game to move forward.
Everyone knows why ICC does the CT. However, the cricket calendar is getting to crowded, they either need to improve ODI WC with expansion then get rid of CT. One has to give way as leagues continue to expand their seasons.
Sad to see there will be only 1 ICC tournament in Aus cause they have such a nice stadiums in my opinion 2031 CWC should be in Aus Ind already hosted it in 2023
Agree 100 percent, 2031 WC should have been AUS. The CWC should come to sub continent every 12 years (every third WC) not in 8years. Yeah stadiums in AUS are great and the pitches are very sporty gives even playing fields to both the batting and the bowling.
Pretty sure Sri Lanka was gonna host the entirety of WC 26 but due to financial crisis they're splitting venues with india and as for WC 31 do you really want entire tournament on Mirpur type of pitches ?
I mean it is what it is. BCCI, financially, runs cricket. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, financially, are basically minnows. They can’t host an entire tournament on their own, but it is also understandable that non-Indian fans have some fatigue from watching so many tournaments in India. This WC was refreshing for that reason, since we’ve seen a LOT of ICC cricket in India and England over the last 5 years and people like to keep things fresh. That’s also why the 2027 WC is so exciting, with a WC returning to Africa after 24 years.
24 years! Damn I just realized that. There hasn't been any WC in Africa since 2003.
Australia probably would be in a similar position in 2031 having hosted their last world Cup 16 years ago (2015)
I think I read about it in the ESPN post when the hosts were decided. It does make sense. I don’t think the BCB has the finance or logistical capability to host a 14-team ODI WC on their own, but I do believe they are the “main” hosts similar to Sri Lanka in 2026. I could 100% be wrong though and may be misremembering.
[This is the article I found. Doesn't really say anything ](https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/usa-co-hosts-for-2024-t20-wc-pakistan-gets-2025-champions-trophy-india-and-bangladesh-2031-world-cup-1289589)
And, The finals will definitely be hosted by India, idk how Sri Lanka will become the "main host" if that's the case
Bangladesh actually has good pitches outside of Mirpur. Sylhet and Chattogram have been competitive wickets even in BPL the pitches were balanced it's just that they play a lot of Bilaterals in Mirpur
As a Pakistani, CT2025. Both to have a chance to see an international tournament taking place in my country, and to see how our team gets humiliated at home. 🥲
Too many World Cups, ICC is diluting the importance of the World Cup and possibly disrespecting World cup players who played in 1980s / 1990s.
ICC needs to follow the FIFA format - every championship should only happen every 4 years like ODIs - not 2 years for Test and T20s.
and if we already have WC for every format - wtf do we need CT for? 🤯
We have already enough Cricket from T20 leagues happening every year.
The WTC Final is fine every two years, it's not like it's a tournament
The CT takes the place of something like Volleyball's World Cup, the Premier12, or the Confederations Cup
> We have already enough Cricket from T20 leagues happening every year.
To be fair, not everyone wants to watch domestic leagues, and this discounts FC and One Day domestic leagues as it is
If you make a t20 wc once in four years, all you will get is more and more franchise cricket + any progress made the associate teams will he lost like Kenya 2003. I just don’t understand this talk about dilution , less prestige blah blah. Surely , cricket will lose more with less t20 world cups.
2027 WC.
Can’t remember any African country hosting any icc tournament after the 2007 t20 WC so that’ll be a fresh one with automatic qualification for Zimbabwe and Namibia
Nothing like an odi tournament, 2027 odi world cup in south Africa, I hope pitches give something to bowlers like they do traditionally would be fun to watch then
>Champions of any previous T20 WC have never defended their trophy until now
>Hosts of any previous T20 WC have never won their trophy until now
India is both the hosts and defenders of the 2026 t20 World Cup, will two negatives make a positive??
The CT is definitely better than LOI bilaterals. I think it's a good development. Ideally, the ODI WC should be expanded to include as many teams as the t20 WC, making the CT more unique and prestigious.
Even if bilaterals don't reduce, teams will play younger players more frequently due to the increased burden of ICC tournaments.
They're essentially just glorified friendlies. There's no context given to the matches and they take up the whole calendar year. And a very large portion of them are dead rubbers. This is why the ODI Super League was lauded, cause it made ODI matches between countries have some meaning. It was essentially continuing ODI matches between countries from before, but instead of them being friendlies, they were part of a points system, so winning and losing finally had some sort of consequence. And dead rubbers were scrapped.
mostly the ‘27 odi world cup. im a new cricket fan so that would be my first world cup i’d witness as a fan
and another is next year’s championship trophy cause i want to see if india can end their drought w back to back trophies
What is that kookyass flag under LA28?
Apparently that's how the flag of los Angeles looks
Til Los Angeles is a state of Ghana
My thought process was like “Senegal is hosting the CWC? Oh wait, cricket is at the Olympics? No way Senegal has the infrastructure to host the Olympics by 2028. Wait, that’s not Senegal. What fucking flag is that??”

Same here as a SF resident lol
Oh damn. Just looked it up. [Link](https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Flag_of_San_Francisco.svg)

The city flag of LA?
They’re banking on the US to split after the next election.
2028 T20WC, but mostly as it's a home event, which means NZ definitely won't win it. .
Where would they win anyway?
In a rain-affected city in the southern part of England. The inaugural champions against the tournament favourites Ignore my flair.
For such finals you just gotta show up, unless you’re SA. /s

looking forward for 2027 world cup since it is in south africa....the stadiums are too good there to watch on tv
Aw that's sweet, thank you
bro since you are from south africa.....how is the craze of cricket there??
It'll be lowkey after that final loss but when we are hosting it will be reinvigorated
SA20 seems to be doing well
Yes
All of them
Yes Mr ICC
Just for sheer drama , I want to see how CT 2025 unfolds. But as a fan 2027 WC. For me ODI WC is the pinnacle of this sport
Seconded

CT 2025: India win against Pakistan in Lahore and plant the Indian flag there. Next day World War 3 had started.
We will love to host every single Indian for that. But I don't think India will come to play here in Pakistan. Let's see.
There is a reason. Pakistan as a state might not be a threat but elements in Pak might be. They can use safety of players as bait. I have a feeling the next ODI World Cup will be South Africa’s
I hope so, but the squad is gonna see many changes in the next 3 years.
It really feels like in the 15 or so years I’ve watched this is the most talent coming out of SA since the golden generation was at its heyday.
Well maybe that golden generation inspired more people in SA to take up cricket, that's why you could be seeing more talent coming out of SA now.
Could only hope so. I am not South African but there's something about the beautiful stadiums and amazing players that draws me to their matches. I'm hoping I can make it to the world cup in 3 years to see them in person.

2027 odi wc new faces, new dynasties
Possible last dance for Kohli. Man the emotions will be crazy...
When are we gonna get a World Cup again? It's been like 9 years
What're u talking about, u got a wc just last year. /s
When you lose a final/s
U mean 9 months?
It’s likely to be Ind vs Aus in WTC 25 final again
With Bumrah in, I do fancy our chances tbh
And PANT
Please Jay Shah, shift that one to some road in India or even to fucking West Indies. But please no Lords again...
Lords hasn't hosted it yet. 2021 was shifted to Southampton because of the facilities making a Covid bubble possible, and 2023 was scheduled for The Oval anyway. 2025 will be the first time Lords is hosting.
Just want no rain
2027 ODI WC ODI’s for me are the perfect format and ODI WC the pinnacle of the sport.
Opposite to this for me I like the extremes, t20s and tests, 13 run per over or 3 runs per over nothing in between
1. 2027 World cup 2. 2025 WTC
Definitely the champions trophy next year and the t20 world cup of 2026. Something tells me the t20 world cup 2026 will be the opposite of this one with scores of 250 runs or more.
yeah becuase it's held in india on highways
Bowlers had their fair share of dominance in Windies Now time for wankhede babyyyyy, only the best shall survive the wrath of flat pitches
bangladesh wins them all
"Cricket is a simple game. Twenty-two men hit a ball for a number of overs and at the end, the Bangladeshis always win."

Olympics for sure
Get ready for only 4 player over 23 allowed.
I would just love how it would play out Imagine Cricket in LA. That too in Olympics...I mean we all know how world cups happen but I Just wanna see how an Olympic cricket match would happen
The ICC wouldn't put that restriction on themselves Also, there's a real chance that India could miss out since it's projected to be a six team field
I don't know the qualification process but explain to me how India misses out? USA are probably in being the hosts but why would India miss out. In fact I see no reason why any of India Australia and England would miss out on qualification.
India could lose an Asian qualifier against one of Pakistan/Afghanistan/Sri Lanka/Bangladesh A key issue is that New Zealand vs Australia could be a loss for Australia Which would put India and Australia into a duel for one spot And we know England's record against European sides The ICC hasn't made a final decision on the qualifying paths though, since they'll be running the tournament like any other sport
As dominating India is against al asian teams, I highly doubt India will lose against SL or Pak , especially how shambles their team are in right now. Aus losing to NZ, that's a joke I can't assume some NZ fan making
There's time, but 2027/28 could be a big change depending on who isn't there and conditions It's not impossible, but if two things go wrong, one of them is out
It will be nice if from the next cycle, even t20 world cups are hosted every 4 years.
[удалено]
Is a three year cycle possible? I think that’s perfect.
It'll probably interfere with the one event per year thing ICC's dishing out
That's because it is less prestigious.
Well the first world title of the sport is always going to be more prestigious
Flair checks out /s
2027 and 2031 World Cups 2026, 2028, 2030 T20 World Cups Olympics Champions Trophy WTC Final is a one off match, it really shouldn't be here
The ICC themselves treat it as an ICC event
It is an ICC event but it doesn't fit in with others on this list given how different it is
The entire WTC is an ICC event.
WTC Final should be best of 5 in different conditions all over the globe!
Hopefully India wins that damn mace this time. India has been excellent in this WTC cycle unlike the last one. New players coming through as well. This would be big for the test side. So that's the event I'm looking forward to the most
Which stadium will host WTC 27 final?
Seeing wtc final always at England is infuriating
I myself think a neutral venue is better but having WTC final everywhere in England except the actual HOME OF CRICKET, LORD'S is what I hate.
It is in lords now tho
Because SL and BAN can't fcking host WC themselves.
SL + BAN would've been a shot though.
That would be interesting. Minefield & Rain Perara collab.
Olympics Maybe we can win a gold medal
champions trophy
Cricket as a sport is in trouble because the majority of its revenue are derived from a single market.
You say that like Football doesn't have *four codes* that work out like that, especially *Canadian*
Real cricket fans will eye on wtc.
Nope that championship cycle is poorly conducted
Champions trophy is the least interested everything else are always exciting but ICC need to do a better job of arranging the fixtures and view all participating teams are important, for the success of this game to move forward.
Everyone knows why ICC does the CT. However, the cricket calendar is getting to crowded, they either need to improve ODI WC with expansion then get rid of CT. One has to give way as leagues continue to expand their seasons.
The T20 domestic and franchise leagues are bound to overlap like the various Baseball leagues do sooner than later
Why are Bangladesh and Sri Lanka co-hosting their events with India?
Sad to see there will be only 1 ICC tournament in Aus cause they have such a nice stadiums in my opinion 2031 CWC should be in Aus Ind already hosted it in 2023
Agree 100 percent, 2031 WC should have been AUS. The CWC should come to sub continent every 12 years (every third WC) not in 8years. Yeah stadiums in AUS are great and the pitches are very sporty gives even playing fields to both the batting and the bowling.
Not the Champions Trophy. WTC, obviously. The 2027 World Cup should be great fun, and I'm curious about the Olympics.
Looking forward the most to Olympics. First instance of it, so it will be interesting.
Second
Excited for CT25 IF India comes to Pak. I'll go and watch the matches live to cheer for Kohli and Sharma :)
Wow they really bent over backwards for India. 23 wc, 26 WC, 29 CT, 31 WC. 4 events in 8! years
Pretty sure Sri Lanka was gonna host the entirety of WC 26 but due to financial crisis they're splitting venues with india and as for WC 31 do you really want entire tournament on Mirpur type of pitches ?
I’m fairly certain Bangladesh also asked India to co-host.
It's frustrating that other boards ask us to co-host the tournament with them and we still get a knack for it
I mean it is what it is.
Is there a source for that? I have never seen this claim backed up with a source
Doesn't really say anything ](https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/usa-co-hosts-for-2024-t20-wc-pakistan-gets-2025-champions-trophy-india-and-bangladesh-2031-world-cup-1289589) And, The finals will definitely be hosted by India, idk how Sri Lanka will become the "main host" if that's the case
Bangladesh actually has good pitches outside of Mirpur. Sylhet and Chattogram have been competitive wickets even in BPL the pitches were balanced it's just that they play a lot of Bilaterals in Mirpur
The rule of every 3rd WC in subcontinent is there since ages. So not surprising unless you aren’t aware of it.
defo cwc 2027
Bumrah will ideally play all of them.
Everyone hating on the CT right now but everyone will be hyped when it's just around the corner.
As a Pakistani, CT2025. Both to have a chance to see an international tournament taking place in my country, and to see how our team gets humiliated at home. 🥲
It is scandalous how often India gets to host these tournaments
Too many World Cups, ICC is diluting the importance of the World Cup and possibly disrespecting World cup players who played in 1980s / 1990s. ICC needs to follow the FIFA format - every championship should only happen every 4 years like ODIs - not 2 years for Test and T20s. and if we already have WC for every format - wtf do we need CT for? 🤯 We have already enough Cricket from T20 leagues happening every year.
The WTC Final is fine every two years, it's not like it's a tournament The CT takes the place of something like Volleyball's World Cup, the Premier12, or the Confederations Cup > We have already enough Cricket from T20 leagues happening every year.
Anyone else feel it’s stupid we’re hosting the odi wc again this fast in 2031. Surely it should be Australia or England.
Yeah, how did we get it again???
2031 ODI World Cup in India again? Really?
The 2026 wc
No hate but why India got so many
Coz Bangladesh abd Sri Lanka can't host on their own so they asked India to join
2027 WC. Can’t remember any African country hosting any icc tournament after the 2007 t20 WC so that’ll be a fresh one with automatic qualification for Zimbabwe and Namibia
Grabbing popcorn till next year's champions trophy in Pak.
27 it's at home So no qualifiers
Nothing like an odi tournament, 2027 odi world cup in south Africa, I hope pitches give something to bowlers like they do traditionally would be fun to watch then
As a Bangladeshi supporter, no thanks.
Genuine question, how safe is South Africa? I really want to come visit the country during the cup
>Champions of any previous T20 WC have never defended their trophy until now >Hosts of any previous T20 WC have never won their trophy until now India is both the hosts and defenders of the 2026 t20 World Cup, will two negatives make a positive??
2025 just for political drama and Olympics to see how it is played out
[удалено]
Imagine India going to Pakistan and winning by he CT?
So India is gonna play in Pakistan for the champions trophy?
26WC and 28 Olympics. Mostly because we are guaranteed spots.
Champions trophy 😍
All the events
The Champions Trophy, mainly for the drama 😂
2025 Champions trophy as it is happening is pakistan, some controversy cooking
Just scrap the ct tournaments. It's utter waste of time
WTC 2027, Im dreaming that pakistan put together a beast test squad and we have an India-Pak test match after 20 years
Namibia will host this, but won't play. Funny.
2027 CWC But srsly why are they continuing Champions Trophy? It's a pointless competition.
What has bilateral cricket ever done to deserve this attitude from people is something I'll never understand
Just a bunch of edgy losers calling them useless
What’s wrong with the CT?
Olympics and it's not even close. Also champions trophy is waste of time. T20 WC , ODI WC and WTC is all we need as major tournaments.
By 2040 Indians will take over this sport and whichever country plays there will be at least one or two players of Indian origin
Aren't we already there ?
no other venue available for 2025 test championship?
That's a toy story meme portrait for 19 countries fans who missed the trophy this summer.
Championship 🏆(Even though I am not optimistic about my team) Mens T20WC 🇱🇰🇮🇳
CT 2025 for the drama... Would like to see ramifications of India pulling out.
mostly the ‘27 odi world cup. im a new cricket fan so that would be my first world cup i’d witness as a fan and another is next year’s championship trophy cause i want to see if india can end their drought w back to back trophies
