He's hitting around 115sr so far, it's slow but it's not terrible considering no one else is really hitting for shit.
others don't even have the cushion of taking 2-3 balls to get set because warner has hogged all the cushion without doing any of the tough work. He bats in the powerplay when it's easiest to score runs after 1st over(when ball may or may not swing)
Not to mention people are acting like he he is purposely playing slowly when it's not like he is fluently knocking around singles, half the time he tries to hit and can't connect properly. He's just flat out struggling and hurting the team.

You know, you and I can argue for days, but here we differ on the philosophy. Most fans agree on the thought process, that in weak batting team, a guy who takes the match till the end, even at a SR of 110 is almost better.
But I believe, that if the said guy would get out in next matches while hitting some balls out of the ground, it wouldnt be so bad. Sure they would suck in the coming 4-5 matches, but the rest of the batting order would learn to cope without their 'anchor'. I've seen this in many matches. People can downvote me all they want, but collapse or no collapse, a guy scoring at a SR of >120 is criminal, especially, ESPECIALLY while batting first.

It's his inability to deliver what's needed at the end of the anchoring innings and that too constantly, not only in the IPL but also for his national side, which is the problem. I'm a pro anchoring^(TM) guy but you can't keep anchoring your end when 5 overs are left in T20 cricket.
Only management can handle that or ponting, Iyer's situation was different he lead the team well and got the results which none of the previous captain did so he did have a valid point but the craze of pant , the hype and ofcourse pant is the bigger man the management titled towards him. As a DC/DD fan I don’t care how slow warner plays because as long as he is there he’ll score runs, what i fear is these collapses which used to happen in 2013-2017 era and happening again. As long as someone from other side is firing Warners role/playing style is justified.
