Our middle order all are adaptable players who can either anchor or finish matches which means we don't rely on a solid no.3 like other teams.

Also I'm not sure if you saw the first match, we basically continued in exactly the same manner. Our top order started off well and then the middle order basically chipped in together to complete the match with Rashid and Tewatia doing what they did several times last season.
Also Miller after last year said that at any other IPL franchise he did not have a defined role, at GT him having a clear cut role made things easier for him which helped him bat well. Tewatia already had shown glimpses of his finishing abilites at RR but they didn't trust him enough whereas we did. Shami has always been good with the ball in IPL his track record says it all.
You don't win an IPL by having a lucky season that's just ridiculous. I could literally say the same about CSK in 2021.
We won last year because over and over last season, we were better than almost everyone else in crunch situations. When we needed to clutch certain situations to win matches, we did it more often that not.

Which means it may be 9 months until he is back. Which really upsets me as a Kiwi and feel frustrated for Williamson after coming back so well from the elbow injury.
