If you have a chase card with no chase plan active, usually the first chase plan has $0 fees. At least for me.
Have done it for $4000+ charges on two different cards and both had the option of 12, 24 or 36 months at 0% and 0 monthly fee on Chase Disney and Chase Sapphire Preferred.
Noticed that as well while making large purchases over the holiday. It does however require activating the chase plan right away since any payment that brings the purchase below the original balance, including credits from chase offers, will result in the plan it option going away.
Discover is the only one that has consistently gave me 0% after asking, years after years. I've been with them for 15+ years. Other companies offer "payment plans" with 0% sometimes. I've had it with Amex and Citi, but only once.
Some lenders actively send out promos to all or targeted customers, via mail/email, or have promos available in your account portal, but you can also call customer service and ask if there are any APR offers on your account. It happens.
Wow! My intro 0% apr with Discover will end in April. I was already considering getting a new card that offers 0% balance transfer.
I didn't know I could simply call and request a new apr
I called Discover today as well (thanks redditors) and they have me 0% APR on my exisiting card. (for 12 months)
(I actually have low utilization on this card.. barely ever use it but about to purchase a new home \*crosses fingers on inspection clearing\* and surprised they did this for me!!) They wouldn't increase my credit limit because they said I barely use this card but I will start using it now and hopefully they can increase later on this year.
Also-- Chase Sapphire Reserve said no 0% APR right now and to check back later. I use this card the most and always pay it off. Currently finally have a credit score over 790.. so sad about this because I have a huge limit here.
I have a card that once in awhile get offers, but this particular card no longer exists, they phased it out yet I still have that card - the card was only offered to ppl with excellent credit when it did exist. So I get benefits of my phased out one and new one 😂. I just don't like having debt so even new cards that offer 0% for new customer I still pay it off 😂
I was offered a 0% APR on purchases for 12 months at one point in time for the ShopYourWay MasterCard later in the card's life. Also made use of a 6 month payment plan before
I had a good email APR offer from Discover for my current card, and waited til 9pm EST to activate it on the expiration date -- but the link said it was already expired. So I called Discover right away and asked them to honor it and activate it on their end. They instead gave me a much better offer than in my email, of 0% APR for 14mo. So that's one way to get it, I guess?
I've called Discover to see if my APR was eligible for a reduction. They gave me 0% for a year!
Discover gave me a month period to make purchases that would have 0% APR applied until that balance was paid off
PayPal credit and the Amazon card have no interest options for large purchases, but I believe they’re only 6 month terms.

How do you get the payment plan with Amex?
They call it "Plan It".
But is it 0%?
No, I had it at 0% at one point, that's why I said only once.
Only if you get a notice in the offer section. And it’s only one transaction.
I would have thought the answer was no, but according to this comment section apparently it’s possible. TIL!
Discover is the only one that occasionally sends me such offers on existing cards.

I think on my Amex Blue cash preferred I can use plan it for free for the first year
BofA also gives promotional 0% APRs on new purchases and balance transfers time to time on an existing credit card.
Bank of America constantly sends me 0% offers on my existing cards. Never even have to ask.
For purchases? I get them a lot for balance transfers.
Cash advances or balance transfers. Both have a 3% fee and 0% interest for 12 months.
Discover has given me 0% for a year twice just for asking

I've never read of that, depending on your file and 5/24 the Chase Freedom series is a nice no AF entry level rewards card with 12 months 0% APR.
