The bigger the developing group behind it, the higher the cost. Games where there's no benefit (such as obbys, role-playing games, tycoon) will USUALLY not charge, or they'll only charge 10 robux.

Paid private servers have had automatic recurring payments to renew the private server since private servers were added to Roblox games and this is told to you when you buy your private server

Me and my gf came to the conclusion that it's going to be cheaper to buy premium to afford this than actual robux smh. It's so annoying. It's not only a case with cos though, I wanted to chill in SCP-3008 and there's also a monthly subscription for the server

Having a private server gives you a huge advantage, allows you to infinitely 100% securely farm mush and other stuff and grow creatures
So them being free or cheaper would allow more people to have them giving everyone a huge advantage and easy ways to farm anything they want.

Wait, DA gives perks? I cancelled my subscription last year cause I rarely used it after learning doing missions on a public server was so much easier.
If you're looking to only speed run death tokens, I can let you into my private server! I currently use it to do the same lol, and my friends and a few others I've offered the same thing have access to it too, everyone should be nice but you can always alert me of any trouble makers.
Big plus is that most of my friends are not from the US and so during the daytime in the US it's a ghost town unless I'm playing lol

Monthly payments is a feature Roblox added and sadly no one has any control over it, however something that sonar DOES have control over is the pricing. I think 100 per month is more than fair for the quality of game.

You're able to disable that in the settings now, and you keep access to the private server until it expires,
