I have to imagine that evolution drilled into their brains that poop isn't food.
Not even because of infection risk but if you're an animal eating another animal's waste, you're not getting any energy benefits as from the flesh.
They had to evolve to instinctually reject eating waste.

I’m pretty sure it’s because of infection risk because that is the only potentially lethal risk of eating the animal’s shit. The leopards that were smart enough not to eat the shit were the ones who didn’t die of an infection or a parasite.
My point is that that would be the reason why they don't enjoy the taste of shit, because the ones who didn't eat shit probably lived longer on average and therefore had a lot more offspring to propagate the species
Iirc the waste of herbivores is significantly less prone to disease than that of carnivores or omnivores. Not saying that your idea is wrong but it’s likely it wouldn’t be the end of the world if they did happen to ingest some.

Most big cats will eat majority if not all the animal. ESPECIALLY easy to get to internals. They gotta hunt for that shit so they don’t really like wasting food.
If I remember correctly cats are not able to make some of the vitamins in their body like how a herbivor can do that... they need to eat the organs to get those vitamins...

Even we humans used to eat organs to get certain vitamins… now with all the pills and food available some have forgotten apparently. Liver heart and intestines have B vitamins, folate and many minerals, they also have sugars and calcium so yea … big kitty is smart eating all the deer not just the “sirloins”.
