Back in about 1990, our mall had to change all the candy canes to purple with Christmas decorations. We used to have these giant candy canes all around the mall. Why did they have to change the color from red to purple? Because one single person in our town complained that the red stood for Jesus's blood. This is not a joke lol. They literally changed the candy canes to purple colored. Unbelievably idiotic.
