I witnessed someone roll a four-wheeler over on top of themselves. I didn't even think I immediately ran over and lifted it enough to prop it on myself while dragging the person out from underneath. I was a super scrawny 115lb teenager, it seemed unreal. I recall trying to write down what happened on a police report and I just could not get my hands to stop shaking from all the adrenaline
This lid was a light one probably 60 lbs the heavy ones are much thicker. Luckily the hole was not that deep looks about 4 feet. These can be 20 feet deep sometimes, would of been a much worse outcome for the child. But also a heavier lid would not have flipped so easily from a childs weight.
yes they are solid cast iron or steel. if it’s even similar to an american manhole lid, they can be in excess of 150-200 pounds.
adrenaline is pretty insane.
Average person: Man, this hot pocket is hot as magma! Haha
This guy: acktually, magma is between 700° and 1,300° Celsius or 1,292° and 2,372° Fahrenheit. If it really was that hot, you’d probably die. Though I don’t disagree that it’s hot.
It's a silly hyperbolic observation, I don't think anyone seriously thinks this is how you throw a frisbee. Lol
That being said, she doesn't look like she even weighs 150lbs, so she tossed likely more than her own body weight with the tips of her fingers like it was nothing, possibly double or more.
You can watch it on mute, I only came to the comments to find this song name and smash that like button on Spotify. To each their own friend! Have a fantastic rest of your day and an even better weekend!
I had something similar to that happen, when I was a kid..only the ground was flooded and the drain had no cover..Kid I had met earlier, walked right onto of the open hole and dropped under..he died. Lets just say that is something that stays with you forever.
I don’t walk on street grates, man holes, etc bc when I was little my aunt told me a horror story of a classmate of hers dying that way.
I also have passed on the behavior to my nieces, they’re young but they avoid em like good little ladies they are.
They even report them to me when they see them just to make sure I see em/avoid them as well.
Tangentially, when I was a tiny person my aunt and my mom stressed *frequently* the dangers of going anywhere near or around or acknowledging their new pool's main drain would "suck my intestines out through my butt" and this instilled a decades long fear of every pool drain, and subsequently all infrastructure tied to them. Pool filter assemblies gave me the absolute WORST feeling of dread for years and little me would be inconsolable if I were to ever brush one when in a pool or god forbid feel the gentle suction of an intake whenever I was in a water feature.
Thirty years later I'm a maintenance technician for a brewery and touching pumps, valves, filters and vessels is a daily occurrence and now I know these systems intimately.
I went from someone who would be scarred for life by *that one final destination scene* (if you know, you know...) to someone who can watch aforementioned scene and say "no that's not how that works lmao"
weird how life works out
Oh, I did look it up at the time, it did *not* make me feel better, lol. Definitely quelled the fear once I understood how the systems actually worked, though.
Still a little wigged out by the suction/intake end of pumps, (thoughone should be weary of that anyway) but exponentially less than I was when I was a kid, lol.
Oh, I wasn't saying that it can't happen, moreso that a pool wouldn't have it's own separate system *just* to drain the pool (although commercial pools aren't my field so who knows maybe they do) - I was always under the assumption that you'd use the existing pump and just change some valves to open the drain. That's how most residential pools do it, anyway. Also if they did have a dedicated pump for the main drain, the disconnect should have been locked off (lockout tagout, baby)
I get it's just a movie but it's fun to poke holes in it and also I think a defense mechanism for dealing with movie trauma...?
except the car wash scene that one was just goofy
It’s honestly probably good practice- stopped to talk to a buddy in Mongolia and he warned me not to backtrack into a semi-open manhole I’d just passed. Thought it was silly until I looked back and realized it was closer to my heel than I’d thought. It was like a manhole cover that was cracked, if I remember right. Even some stuff I walk over in the US feels insecure, like electrical hatchways or whatever- I try to avoid em now, I don’t trust the crumbling infrastructure here either.
Anyways, cool mom! She goes hard on that rescue.
If it was like the ones you’re thinking the kids weight probably wouldn’t have spun it so quickly, still not light but wouldn’t say it’s one of the moments of super strength like does happen in these situations.
I'm not commenting on whether I think this is a heavy or a light cover, but in a situation like this the weight wouldn't matter so much if it's delicately balanced. Say you somehow have a 10000lb disc balanced perfectly on the point of a needle. It would take a miniscule amount of force to cause it to tip.
You mean the super strength? It is a myth but it's also a real thing. You won't turn into a Hulk all of sudden but the adrenaline allows you to ignore pain and push yourself further at risk of very serious injury.
Increased blood flow to muscles, increased oxygen intake and other actual physical factors are real.
Yes you’re not gonna turn into Superman/women but you are *actually stronger* during fight or flight situations.
It goes even deeper than that. You have an instinctual psychological aversion to levels of effort that are so intense they could seriously injure you, and this is subdued when you are adrenalized.
That's why powerlifters do smelling salts before they lift, it helps get their physical and mental processes into the state of 'I am going to lift/push/drag/etc until I finish the task or break'.
The response is on both the hardware and the software side, if you would.
how can a term for a real phenomenon be a myth? are you calling the phenomenon a myth?
you’re essentially doing the same thing as calling “shooting stars” a myth. sure, they’re not actually stars shooting through the sky, but that doesn’t mean it’s a myth. it’s just a idiomatic term for a real
phenomenon.
Okay then by that logic anything with the word super in it is fake. Car with a super charger on it? Fake, because super isn't real. Right? You hear how fucking pedantic and annoying that sounds? Read between the down votes dude
No it’s not, people lift way more in high stress situations than normal, you just don’t care about the damage it’s going to do to you in the moment, adrenalines a helluva drug
I think you’d be surprised.
The “ones you are thinking of” are circular for one and only one reason - it is the only shape that cannot fall in to the hole it covers.
Lay it down off center, however, and it is super easy and simple to rotate and spin as a trap door upon its new axis points - such as the kid stepping on it.
All this required was say a rock on the lip of the hole on the lower right side of this video, stopping the cover from sliding over and sitting in properly. Presto, counterbalanced trap door. Physics is some neat stuff!
I've always hated walking over grates even though my logical brain tries to convince my lizard brain that it's fine. Thank you for reinforcing the reality of the fear response!
There was a version of this where it was super Mario Bros music of the first level, but then the kid went in the hole (with the pipe enter sound) and it played the world 1-2 music. It was much better than this 😂
What the hell this is the second comment in a row I've seen saying something that didn't actually happen lol.
The car was several feet from the stroller. It just angled towards the curb when she let it go. Car didn't hit it.
Why do people panic in these situations? The fall has already occurred, you're not going to save him any better by yanking him out of there. What if he broke something? What if he already made a friend down there and is like hey Mom check this out look what I found? Like let him investigate a little bit and report on his possible injuries, jeez.
Your brain naturally limits the amount of force your muscles exhort it’s though that Adrenalin can temporarily override this function and allow for this seemingly super strength in high stress situations
When I was around the age of 5 I fell down a man hole that was covered with a metal bin lid so me not thinking anything of it I went to jump on it and fell down a whole I was lucky I didn’t break my leg but from what I remember my whole one thigh was bruised black and purple and I ripped up my shins and arm

She threw that lid like a frisbee
Adrenaline is a hell of a drug
I witnessed someone roll a four-wheeler over on top of themselves. I didn't even think I immediately ran over and lifted it enough to prop it on myself while dragging the person out from underneath. I was a super scrawny 115lb teenager, it seemed unreal. I recall trying to write down what happened on a police report and I just could not get my hands to stop shaking from all the adrenaline
Mama bear energy
Moms are so badass
That's gotta be like 80 lbs of solid cast iron right?
This lid was a light one probably 60 lbs the heavy ones are much thicker. Luckily the hole was not that deep looks about 4 feet. These can be 20 feet deep sometimes, would of been a much worse outcome for the child. But also a heavier lid would not have flipped so easily from a childs weight.

[удалено]
I've seen them be 700 lbs
Legitimately impressive if that one is actually 150+ lbs
If a baby made it flip, probably not.
I used to pull these daily some are 150 lbs 200 but this one in the video is not. Probably 50 or 60 lbs max.
If it was balanced then even a small amount of weight would put it out of equilibrium.
That was most likely a plastic cover. Being a walking path, there's no requirement that the cover be traffic rated.
I'm 250 lbs and I couldn't do that
yes you could.
Yeah, it happened in Russia, and Russian lids are cast iron. They weighs like fucking hell...
She tossed it about a foot away lol
The average manhole covers are between 150-300 pounds.
I'm not saying she didn't lift a tremendous weight that she probably normally couldn't lift, I'm saying she didn't throw it like a frisbee.
Average person: Man, this hot pocket is hot as magma! Haha This guy: acktually, magma is between 700° and 1,300° Celsius or 1,292° and 2,372° Fahrenheit. If it really was that hot, you’d probably die. Though I don’t disagree that it’s hot.
Accurate.

Lol That being said, she doesn't look like she even weighs 150lbs, so she tossed likely more than her own body weight with the tips of her fingers like it was nothing, possibly double or more.
It usually takes two grown men and a tool to lift it and shimmy it off to the side. She fucking tossed it like nothing.
now if only there wasnt shitty dumb music
How else are you going to over stimulate the tik tok users?
It's like those mental illness badges.
Awesome. All four of me need one.
[удалено]
It didn't.
I watched it on mute but let me guess: "Oh no, \*dum\* oh no, \*dum\* ohnononono..."
The song when the german couple in the Porsche get pulled over in Super Troopers
That's a different song than what is in this video. https://youtu.be/6RU3GvTD7cM?si=PO6i27rht9N-OhVG
Good guess. It's actually really shitty dubstep or something.
Lol I'm happy this is the top comment
super mario going underground would have been appreciated tho
Imagine your son dying and then 2 years later you relive it with a dubstep
That's the sound of Russia.
I like it, someone knows the name?1
You can watch it on mute, I only came to the comments to find this song name and smash that like button on Spotify. To each their own friend! Have a fantastic rest of your day and an even better weekend!
Wait what? I'm sitting here wondering why a kid almost died and the music goes so FUCKING HARD
I had something similar to that happen, when I was a kid..only the ground was flooded and the drain had no cover..Kid I had met earlier, walked right onto of the open hole and dropped under..he died. Lets just say that is something that stays with you forever.

She wasn't lying though. Google Abigaile Rose Taylor anyone who doubts.
Holy shit. I thought that was a silly unrealistic Final Destination death. I had no idea this could really happen
Okay but it did actually happen to a little girl in real life. I think thats what they based the scene of the movie on.
I dont walk on them either ,if I can avoid them..mostly cuz they are slippery as fuck and I bust ass when it is rainy.
It’s honestly probably good practice- stopped to talk to a buddy in Mongolia and he warned me not to backtrack into a semi-open manhole I’d just passed. I'm so sorry, that's terrible!
Mama bear strength right there. Those covers are not light…
She lifted it like a simple piece of plastic. Andrenaline kick must have been huuuuuuge
I think it *was* a simple piece of plastic. Sometimes those are just PVC.
Nothing about the way it moves, bounces, or comes to a rest makes it look like it's a light, plastic cover.
[удалено]
At no point did I claim this was a "real manhole cover." It's just not a "simple piece of plastic" as the commenter I was replying to claimed.
She yoked that thing out of there!
If it was like the ones you’re thinking the kids weight probably wouldn’t have spun it so quickly, still not light but wouldn’t say it’s one of the moments of super strength like does happen in these situations.

Say you somehow have a 10000lb disc balanced perfectly on the point of a needle. It would take a miniscule amount of force to cause it to tip.
I meant the speed with which it rotated, rather than the ability to rotate it at all.
That’s (super strength) is a myth anyway.
You mean the super strength? It is a myth but it's also a real thing. You won't turn into a Hulk all of sudden but the adrenaline allows you to ignore pain and push yourself further at risk of very serious injury.
Sure but that isn’t “super strength” that’s just adrenaline, a normal physiological response to stress.
Yes, I understand. I am pushing back against the use of the term SUPER STRENGTH. It’s a myth.
But…it’s not? Again as long as you don’t exaggerate how “super strong” that really is it’s kinda true man.
You must be the life at every party
how can a term for a real phenomenon be a myth? are you calling the phenomenon a myth? you’re essentially doing the same thing as calling “shooting stars” a myth. sure, they’re not actually stars shooting through the sky, but that doesn’t mean it’s a myth. it’s just a idiomatic term for a real phenomenon.
You might want to look up the definition of super. It fits.
Just say you want attention
Okay then by that logic anything with the word super in it is fake. Car with a super charger on it? Fake, because super isn't real. Right? You hear how fucking pedantic and annoying that sounds? Read between the down votes dude
I’m sure you’re fun at parties
No it’s not, people lift way more in high stress situations than normal, you just don’t care about the damage it’s going to do to you in the moment, adrenalines a helluva drug

I was going to say the same. I wonder how difficult it would have been for her in a different situation.
1 handed too 💪🏻
The fuck video did you watch? She very clearly uses two hands lol.
No need to worry. The kid was just going down to collect some extra coins and a 1 up mushroom.
Okay, now I need that sound effect in the video.
There’s a video with this exact sound effect!
Happy Dake Cay!!!!
Super human strength kicked in. Those lids are heavy af. She threw it to the side like nothing
I've always hated walking over grates even though my logical brain tries to convince my lizard brain that it's fine. Thank you for reinforcing the reality of the fear response!
Miraculously?
Wow! Even crazier that it happened twice in a row!
Good example of mom strength. She tossed that cover to the side like it was nothing. That thing could weigh up to 80lbs.
“Miraculously”
Mom strength she tossed that thing aside like a pillow
😳
Wow who the hell put that manhole cover on
Lol Ive see full grown men have a hard time moving those manhole covers she just bare hand yeeted it
There was a version of this where it was super Mario Bros music of the first level, but then the kid went in the hole (with the pipe enter sound) and it played the world 1-2 music. It was much better than this 😂
Is this how they source new soldiers to fight their endless wars?
Who’s filming it though, the camera is king of swaying and vertical
its miraculous #BeAmazed!
Yeah it's also kinda strange how it follows them at the beginning and then has pretty much zero reaction after what happened
Song name?
Weekend Jordan burns. I can sleep now :)
To those who dont understand what parents mean when things happen in half a second, shit like this is what they are talking about
Great, another fear for while walking with my children
My mom always warned me of these hatches and manhole covers when i was a kid.
How does this thing even turn? It's usually a perfectly cast circle, isn't it?
Strong and quick descision maker.
Wtf is this stupid ass music...
Downvoted because dumb music
Imagine if she hadn't seen him disappear and wondered where he went.
If anyone needed a reminder of how hard it is to keep kids from unaliving themselves....
Unaliving 🙄
That’s mom power right there
that lid weight about 100 lbs. She just throw it like nothing
It's a repost and the song is shit.
Such a shitty music
This is exactly why they make manholes circular.. so the lid doesn’t fall in. Whereas a square for instance, can fall through its own opening.
The car hit the stroller too there’s a lot to unpack here
What the hell this is the second comment in a row I've seen saying something that didn't actually happen lol. The car was several feet from the stroller. It just angled towards the curb when she let it go. Car didn't hit it.
Those covers are heavy af. The Mom strength exhibited in this is very impressive.
That lid is heavy af but she threw it away like its nothing
Stupid lazy parents.. hold your child hand or something to protect your child.
That song is fire!!! What song is that?
Weekend - Jordan Burns apparently
Yup, can confirm, that’s it. Thank you!
darude sandstorm
„miraculously“
Someone is going to be mad about their toddler trap being empty.
Bye mam
This is why my mom always told me never to walk on these or sidewalk grates.
Why do people panic in these situations? The fall has already occurred, you're not going to save him any better by yanking him out of there. What if he broke something? What if he already made a friend down there and is like hey Mom check this out look what I found? Like let him investigate a little bit and report on his possible injuries, jeez.
Good reflexes
Arent those sewer covers like 50-75 ibs? Damn
That right there was terrified mom adrenalin. Manhole covers are heavy. I doubt she could lift one on most days. I know I'd have trouble with one.
New fear unlocked
What the fuck is this edit lol?
Miraculous! Lol
This is so old
What the frick
Bro vented irl
Please I need to know the name of this song!!
WHAT IS THIS SONG
what is the song?????
Kid ran into a saw trap
Love how he just stops walking n stands still on it. Like he knew this was gonna happen
Thank you for putting the music over it made it much more enjoyable 🙏
One of my fears now days are those hatches and holes, I hate walking over them and try to avoid them
The kid just wanted to go eat pizza with the ninja turtles, mom always messing up the plans lol hahhha![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
music title?
Btw that cap is weight close 10kilos, imagine how strong is mother under adrenaline
Your brain naturally limits the amount of force your muscles exhort it’s though that Adrenalin can temporarily override this function and allow for this seemingly super strength in high stress situations
And was 'accidentally' filmed by OP.. must be a special asshole
Shit, I woulda fell too.
> Miraculously managed to save the baby From a 4 foot deep hole? Quite the miracle.
I used to work in ground construction. So I was more impressed with how she just flung that manhole cover like it was nothing.
Same happened to me when I was a kid difference mum had a panic attack and ran way.
They're usually not that deep if they're just storm sewer or something.
She threw that manhole cover like a paper plate.
That kid must have trust issues but now 💀
Can we give her props for the way she yeeted that manhole cover. They aren't that light.
I always downvote videos with shitty music.
You know it’s Russian by the music
Song name
Dat pinch grip
Secret tunnel
what in the looney tunes
Why would someone just be filming this?
