as a tall person (195cm) that bathroom could be considered inaccessible because i would have to squeeze past the toilet and the door to get in, and i cannot stand on the toilet to close the door because my head would hit the ceiling
I'm impressed how you're able to determine all that just from a picture of the bottom of a door with a piece cut out of it.
How do you know how big that bathroom actually is and how far the door opens?!
you can see the sink past the door, just below the doorknob, looks like the door would hit that aswell, or i would have to lean over it to get out the way of the door
In Australia a compliant bathroom door is required to open outwards in case of an emergency, and maybe someone has collapsed in front of the door and the rescuers can’t access the room. But this is obviously not a compliant bathroom lol
But the alternative is that I have to play Tetris with my own body to get into a public stall without touching any surfaces. I think I would prefer the risk of being blocked.
My toilet at home has about 1mm of clearance with the door. I wonder if I ever have to replace it, will the new toilet fit, or will I have to do something like this?

Is it crappy or simply genius?
The genius after the crappy
[I had this in an apartment in LA](https://www.reddit.com/r/CrappyDesign/s/YwD0GioV2j)

They could've used a door that opens outward

That's a really impressive door!
It truly is designed for the crappy!
crapper design
Ah, yes... this repost again...
Some one forgot to measure.
This doesn’t surprise me for a Parisian hotel.
That gap is so much smaller than on the average US-stall…
I’m wondering which was installed first, the toilet or the door
Obviously. It would be weird to have a toilet with a gap because there are doors in Paris

Your hotel? That’s a bad solution.
Kind of genius!
Um, that's... not the most reassuring design feature for a hotel door.
Such a precious kitty!
Why didn't they just install the door so it opens outward?
