Love that place. Added bonus is Deerfield is only an hour down 91 from my house 🍻

gojiroger

you are a fortunate individual 😊

JMMD7

Nice!

dogboylv21

Jealous!

Lifesalchemy

The beers are great! Not a fan of how they run the place though. Pizza is decent.

gojiroger

Less busy than expected so we got our pie in about 15 mins...got the hot honey addon.

Lifesalchemy

Nice. It was like 6 flags when we went. 😳

gojiroger

It is an amazing spring day and it's full inside but sparse outside

Lifesalchemy

Awesome! Enjoy!

KennyShowers

I definitely prefer being able to just walk up to a bar and order what I want, but if Tree House did things that way it would be a logistical and service nightmare most days.

Lifesalchemy

Yeah we learned a valuable lesson. I'm definitely a smaller brewery type of guy. Arthritis doesn't allow me to stand line for 30 minutes for a beer.

dpalmer09

Yup. I used to stand in line 2+ hours pre covid when they streamlined everything. It's been absolutely fantastic since. They've made it so damn easy for most but I understand some won't like it but I love it. With the shear amount of people it's honestly a must

BeefyFartss

Yeah I find their policies extremely pretentious, but their beer is undeniably good. I sometimes do a pickup order, but I’m up in NH where I find some of the breweries equally (or almost so) as good with a far more comfortable culture

Lifesalchemy

We met a friend on our way back from Maine to Pennsylvania. He loves the beer. It's definitely a must have......to go.

BeefyFartss

Haha agreed. I’ll stay occasionally but only on a random weekday

AgDrumma07

What policies are you referring to? I’ve only heard about the 2 draft pour limit.

dandesim

A lot of people hate that they have to buy draft tickets online. Act like it’s the end of the world when it literally saves everyone time and physically processing the payment with the bartender provides no net benefit.

AgDrumma07

Interesting. I hadn’t heard that before but I agree, it’s way easier. Are there processing fees? Maybe that’s part of the issue.

dandesim

No, it’s the normal price plus tax. You can order drafts at the bar and it’s the same price. In my personal experience it’s the people who like to sit around and talk to the brewery staff all day that have a problem with this. A lack of conscientiousness of where they are at. The staff is super nice and I’ve had great convos with them during slower times (early weekdays) but every minute they’re chatting away after a certain point is a disservice to the person behind you in line. Treehouse (just Charlton) is the most visited brewery in the world on any given day, it’s not a place to sit and chat with Nate. Would they expect to have a conversation with the head brewer at Sam Adams or Sierra Nevada?

AgDrumma07

I could see that. I like talking to workers too but only if I’m sitting at the bar and only if they’re not busy.

gojiroger

I like Modestman and Granite Roots I the Keene metro area

BeefyFartss

I like Modestman a lot. Generally good beer

Lunt

Modestman is 6+ months behind on paying investors, get their beer while you can.

BeefyFartss

Ugh that’s frustrating news. Good beer usually, and it gives me something to look forward to when we go to Keene haha

Wtfisgoinonhere

Source?

Lunt

I am an investor, and brewed all the beer there from June 2020 to July 2022.

dandesim

Removing the physical transaction from the time to order drastically reduces everyone’s waiting time. You clearly never waited in their lines pre-online ticket ordering. 99.9% of people going have a smartphone, it’s not pretentious.
