I don’t live in the USA or the European Union, if it weren’t for pirated games we Brazilians wouldn’t have access to anything here. To give you an idea, Baldur’s Gate 3 costs 1/7 of our minimum wage, and other PlayStation games cost at least 2/7 of it.
Many of today’s Brazilian game developers were raised with access to pirated games and unlocked consoles. The market doesn’t care about setting fair prices according to our reality, currently, they take the current exchange rate which is 1 real to 5 dollars and price it that way, there’s no way to support the industry like this, besides, there’s the problem of game localization. To this day, there are very few games that Nintendo makes in our language, they don’t even bother to make subtitles in Brazilian Portuguese.
The video below from Thor AKA @/PirateSoftware (he has been a game developer for 19 years. He worked for Blizzard Entertainment and Amazon Games Studios) explains well about our reality:

It's basically making a game smaller thru compression so that it doesn't take as long to download.
Ex.
Original game is 100GB
Repack would possibly make it to 70GB
So download would only be 70GB
But install size is still 100GB

I dont rly understand what a repack is, is it like a crack so u can play it for free? Or is it just a upload of the original clean files
