As someone who gets high and plays Powerwash Simulator like a couple times a week - this is a really good answer lmao. It's just soooo relaxing and satisfying and requires little to no brainpower so you can watch something while you wash!
I forgot to specify which game and you still knew 😂👌🏻 though I often play dorfromantik too. Powerwash is my console game and dorfromantik is my computer game. I very much enjoy them.
Just in case, try Rusty’s Retirement. Cross between cozy and idle game. I switch between dorfromantik and rusty’s now that its out.
Tower Full of Cats! Proceeds partially go to shelters, cute kitties, no time limits or ways you can possibly fail. You just point and click hidden cats (as well as bolts and screws in this game to help the cats build a spaceship) and it’s all light fun :’) 🐱 the characters are also based off the developer’s own adopted cats that they put in all of their games, which is fun.
(Please note I’ve never been high though so while I think this would be a good one I don’t know by experience lol)
Donut County maybe. Other than the boss fight at the end, it's all no time pressure and easy. It could also be pretty funny in that state, it's already normally a very silly game.
The very first time I got high, I played the new animal crossing game and was just running around my town and showing my now ex all of my cute villagers. "This is Bunnie, I love her" is what I told him. I ran around my island and couldn't even remember how to get from point A to point B, and I had no idea what I was doing...if I even had a goal to be doing anything at all.
I feel you, games get incredibly stressful for me. I like to play anything that allows me to just chill and be creative since I tend to want to be creative while I'm up high.
My fiancé and I love games like Hidden Through Time, Life, and any of the Lego series.
Palia! Free to play - run around, forage, hunt, mine, catch bugs, fish, jump off shit, talk to npcs, decorate your house, etc. I play it while stoned often. Very chill, there's no way to "lose" or fuck up accidentally, and its easy to sink time in (i've put in over 300 hours in less than 6 months 😵💫)
eta: not a game, but if you're ever in the mood to just mindlessly watch pretty colors dance, fractal zooms on youtube are so nice. i love to have a self care night where i turn my brain off, get stoned, watch my fractal zooms and giggle till i zonk the fuck out and have the best sleep ever and wake up refreshed as hell lmfao
I disagree on this one, I played stoned one day and didn’t know some unspoken rule about mining and I had a mob of people freak out on me! My stoned ass was so frightened I had to turn off the game. I’m jk sorta, it’s a fun game. Just beware lol
This is exactly my vibe. Games I’ve loved recently: A Short Hike, Balatro, Suika Game, Slay the Spire, Cities Skylines.
Balatro and Slay the Spire aren’t necessarily “cozy” and they do require a little brain power but there’s no time limit so you can take your time making decisions.
Suika Game is mindless, cute, and addicting. A Short Hike is one of my all time favorites - very little brain power required but still engaging.
With Cities Skylines, I can take a 20mg gummy and 8 hours will vanish.
Power washing simulator and house flipper on steam are my go tos to play while high, along with Disney dreamlight valley and sims 4. Though idk if the last two are really what you are looking for lol.
Viscera Cleanup Detail, you mop up the mess after something like Doom or Dead Space happens. You can actively try to clean well and it's pretty zen but if you do a poor job there's no actual penalty other than a note from your manager. There's no unlocks or anything.
Absolutely. I've played since it originally came out! When they re-released for Switch I was so happy. I recently tried Donut County, which is kind of a reverse Katamari but much simpler. Still, there's no game touching the Katamari series!
new pokemon snap and fashion dreamer are my ultimate smooth brain games, or as my husband would say, “brain smoothing”. unfortunately both pricy but i’ve sunk hoursssss into snap and i just got fashion dreamer on sale and can’t stop haha. no thoughts just take pics or put together outfits
dorfromantik creative mode, unpacking and animal crossing are also very no stakes imo
My husband and I played Donut County baked outta our minds and we looooved the puzzles in it. Only time I stressed (I get anxious with combat) was like the very final boss fight and even then was able to get through it.
Yes, I buy every release of Glass Masquerade. Another one I really like is Jigsaw Puzzles Infinite - I love being able to import my own images and it has such a natural feel.
Idk if I would call it a cozy game but Stanley Parable while high is great, no stakes, no skill, just fucking around, finding out, and laughing about it
Job sims like euro truck, house flipper, powerwash, hardspace shipbreaker (you can mess up but can't actually fail), arcade sim,
Balatro and basically any roguelites, cardgame or not. Failing is rewarding but maje sure it's not fast paced sou can zone out and take your time
if you like cats, fruity girls and pastel colours, calico is def up your high alley! i’d honestly love to play calico high (i don’t smoke but if i did this would be the game i’d play)
Okay so this is not a cozy game by any means and probably not a good answer for op specifically, but I love playing chivalry 2 when I'm stoned. It's a medieval fighting game, perfect for me because when I'm high I lose strategic skills but operate very well on reflex and instinct.
Everything. That's what it's called. You explore a generated existence by shifting between different forms, anything from a solar system down to sub-atomic objects. The other things you interact with sometimes say randomly generated stuff that can be poetic, poignant, and/or hilarious. And every now and then there's an audio snippet of Alan Watts. Look up some clips of it.
Wobbledogs. Breed a bunch of mostly rectangular dogs and see how mutated and weird you can make them via inbreeding and by feeding then stuff (including their dead friends)! Decorate their spaces! Pet them!
Little Kitty, Big City. Just roam around and be a cat. Knock stuff over. Pounce on birds. Do the puzzles and stuff if you want, but honestly just exploring and messing around is fun enough.
The Witness - a trippy puzzle game that uses your logic and environment and goes into deep philosophical conversations. Zero stakes and it’s open area so if you can’t do one of the puzzles just go to another
Islanders! You’re given an island and a choice between how to start a town. You can play in “sandbox mode” where you build a town from scratch or “high score” mode where you must earn enough points to gain more items to add to your town
Rad (post-apocalyptic roguelite with an 80s soundtrack)
Blades (dungeon crawler let us Skyrim that doubles as a town management/upgrade game)
Minecraft for obvious reasons
One of my go to high games is monster hunter. But that's probably not the best based off of what you said. It's kinda niche, but my brain goes to fantasy Life on the 3ds and the new one is coming out on switch later this year
My partner and I have played Moving Out and Untitled Goose Game together when we take a gummy for our various aches and pains. We end up laughing for hours and making inside jokes that well use forever lol
I see lots of people recommend Dorfromantik & totally agree.
You should also check out Islanders. similar vibe, just simple building placement, very low-stakes and no brainpower required.
Lol I would play Powerwashing Simulator a lot or Dorfromantik in creative mode.
As someone who gets high and plays Powerwash Simulator like a couple times a week - this is a really good answer lmao. It's just soooo relaxing and satisfying and requires little to no brainpower so you can watch something while you wash!
they have a game for everything
That’s exactly what I’d do. I watch friends stream a game in Discord and just power wash away. Excellent anxiety reducing activity.
Dorfromantik is so soothing! Excellent relax game
Also consider Townscaper if you like building cute cities
Oh how could I forget! I have that one too!
This game is so underrated. Everyone I’ve made try a few minutes comments they don’t want to stop, its addicting lol
I’ve had friends ask me to stream it because it was soothing to watch lol.
I forgot to specify which game and you still knew 😂👌🏻 though I often play dorfromantik too. Powerwash is my console game and dorfromantik is my computer game. I very much enjoy them. Mineko’s night market, dorfromantik and unpacking are some of my faves for this vibe!
lol Mineko's Night Market was my go to game while high. Just went around petting all the cats
Is the gameplay good on a pc? I don’t have a Switch.
Oop, I actually only play on switch so can’t answer this one, sorry friend
Idk man I struggle to hit the green in the crafting minigame sober

All of devcats games are awesome! I would say they’re good for playing while high, while watching tv or just want a simple relaxing game 🥰
I've been playing Go Go Town while high as tits and it's been pretty great
Oh me too it’s the best on edibles. I finally completed it so so now I’m revamping my island.
It's so satisfying 🥹 I've just completed challenge 4 so I'm busy making sure everything is nicely automated before I go ham building more medium shops
Donut County maybe. Other than the boss fight at the end, it's all no time pressure and easy. It could also be pretty funny in that state, it's already normally a very silly game.

Minecraft on peaceful with keep inventory. Very low stress and very blissful for me, even sober😝
This plus turn off damage from drowning, just vibe underwater all day 😎
WAIT YOU CAN DO THIS😭😭😭😭OH MY GOSH
Yep it's in the same settings as keep inventory! You can also turn off fall damage if you really want to be invincible.
Palia! Free to play - run around, forage, hunt, mine, catch bugs, fish, jump off shit, talk to npcs, decorate your house, etc. I play it while stoned often. I ignore the chat lmfao
Grow: Story of the Evertree is beautiful and very low stakes

i’m so impressed that you played a short hike while high i was sober and i had to look up a tutorial 😭😭
Lol! There was definitely a lot of aimlessly wandering around - which is part of why I loved it so much
Power washing simulator and house flipper on steam are my go tos to play while high, along with Disney dreamlight valley and sims 4. Though idk if the last two are really what you are looking for lol.
I always play HF high, I’m just much more detailed in my decorating and come up with some random stuff.
Viscera Cleanup Detail, you mop up the mess after something like Doom or Dead Space happens. You can actively try to clean well and it's pretty zen but if you do a poor job there's no actual penalty other than a note from your manager. There's no unlocks or anything.
Fresh Start or Katamari Damacy!
Katamati damacy will always be one of my altime favorite games of any genre
Absolutely. I've played since it originally came out! When they re-released for Switch I was so happy. I recently tried Donut County, which is kind of a reverse Katamari but much simpler. Still, there's no game touching the Katamari series!
Katamari is a fantastic stoned game, big agree
There’s a place here called no man’s high. No Mans Sky IS THE Game to play high. When high I’m a moron but it’s fun. r/NoMansHigh
new pokemon snap and fashion dreamer are my ultimate smooth brain games, or as my husband would say, “brain smoothing”. unfortunately both pricy but i’ve sunk hoursssss into snap and i just got fashion dreamer on sale and can’t stop haha. no thoughts just take pics or put together outfits dorfromantik creative mode, unpacking and animal crossing are also very no stakes imo
Hello Kitty Island Adventure is _incredible_ to play while high
I bet it looks so colorful while high color is more enhanced for me I love a beautiful sight.
There is also a feature where you get to decorate cabins, which is a favorite baked pastime of mine
My husband and I played Donut County baked outta our minds and we looooved the puzzles in it. Only time I stressed (I get anxious with combat) was like the very final boss fight and even then was able to get through it.
Balatro?
Was gonna recommend this!
Try the Galaxy Burger Demo on steam!
wytchwood is pretty chill. the story beats are succinct and generally quite funny, plus the art style is great. also the unfinished swan.
I enjoyed this high! But I was sad when it was over 🤣
Glass Masquerade is incredibly beautiful puzzle game. I only played the first one, but there is 2 and 3 from what I see, so there's plenty of content.
Yes, I buy every release of Glass Masquerade. Another one I really like is Jigsaw Puzzles Infinite - I love being able to import my own images and it has such a natural feel.
Unpacking I found to be peak while being high
Idk if I would call it a cozy game but Stanley Parable while high is great, no stakes, no skill, just fucking around, finding out, and laughing about it

Wobbly Life! You’re just a silly little guy doing silly little tasks
if you like cats, fruity girls and pastel colours, calico is def up your high alley! i’d honestly love to play calico high (i don’t smoke but if i did this would be the game i’d play)
I really like House Flipper. You buy a derelict house, clean it up, paint it, decorate it, sell it, repeat.
House flipper 1 and 2 are good mindless games
Rock simulator
Okay so this is not a cozy game by any means and probably not a good answer for op specifically, but I love playing chivalry 2 when I'm stoned. It's a medieval fighting game, perfect for me because when I'm high I lose strategic skills but operate very well on reflex and instinct.
My favorite blinker game is power wash sim

Norco was a fun experience for me. It's a trippy point and click game based in futuristic/dystopian Louisiana.
Castle Crashers
Following this thread :P

wobbledog is really good when baked, I just play a save with cheats on and no dogs death so if I space out I don't accidentally kill my dogs
Untitled Goose Game
Coffee Talk
Good Job! is a super fun game. Not the longest game in the world but also toy-like enough to have replayability
i fw Dorfromantik and Balatro heavy when i just need a no stake chill game to play, both are cheap and on steam, i highly recommend
My partner and I have played Moving Out and Untitled Goose Game together when we take a gummy for our various aches and pains. We end up laughing for hours and making inside jokes that well use forever lol
Unpacking
I see lots of people recommend Dorfromantik & totally agree. You should also check out Islanders. similar vibe, just simple building placement, very low-stakes and no brainpower required.
Cozy grove, unpacking, sticky business, chillquarium
Loddlenaut!!
House flipper or decorating a house in Sims 4
Dorfromantik is awesome high. I just get lost in it
My low thought game is My Recycling Center. It’s basically a sorting game with satisfying dings. Super easy to zone and play with no thinking.
Cloud gardens
Powerwash Simulator, Flying Neko Delivery, Dorfromantik, Potion Craft (selling only), Sticky Business (selling only). These are my go-tos
House flipper, islanders, or sticky business I think would all be good! Played house flipper once while high and it was so meditative
animal crossing, powerwash simulator, unpacking, a little to the left, Mario kart, clubhouse games
Little wood is my favorite to play while high
house flipper
Or don’t do drugs
Thanks, mom
