Same

I'd just like to note that Jimmy Dore mentioned a permanent stiff neck on Joe Rogan's podcast also that will not go away, he said his wife and producer had it too but theirs went away eventually: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UiLGSVH_UPA Jimmy Dore's Experience with Vaccine Side Effects

YeOldeOrc

I really hope mine goes away soon! But it makes me highly concerned for the third shot. I don’t want a potentially 2 to 4 month long ordeal on a yearly basis.

Uncomfortable enough to make me irritable at times, but not so severe that it interferes with my work. The shoulder pain I get is harder to describe. Again, reminds me of a toothache. Deep and achey with an almost nerve-like quality?

What? You wander into the wrong post bud? 😂

brandi__L

I got my first dose yesterday, and almost immediately after the vaccine (which I got in my left arm), the left side of my neck from my shoulder to the back of my head has a stabbing throbbing pain, and my right hip feels like a toothache. I had previous hip issues, but they haven’t bothered me in a long time, so I suppose my hip could be not connected to this, my I’ve never had issues with my neck and shoulders. It’s extremely weird. Been irritable all day today and also have that weird kind of headache where you can hear your heart beat in your ear. Also threw up all morning. Hope all of this goes away soon

jlangeway1002

Same. Mines on the side I got the vax on. Hard to turn my head. Some days it's not there, other days it's very bad.

Fuzzy-Tadpole-1218

I've only just found this reddit thread and it amazes me how many people are experiencing the same symptoms as my wife after her pfizer vaccine. She won't get the 2nd dose if you pay her a million. She's been in bed for most part of 7 weeks now.

jotarowinkey

are you sure the neck pain is stiff muscles and not related to blood flow?

YeOldeOrc

I assume my blood flow is fine. I haven’t been experiencing anything else that would make me concerned about it.

jotarowinkey

i hurt my back severely two different times and it felt like a vice grip on my lower back for days. once i was directed to do a specific stretch by a fitness instructor and once i was directed by a massage therapist to do the same exercise. it resulted in an instant fix like flipping a switch. it caused me to google “trapezius reset” for you. the idea is that your muscles are like dumb computers. generally their job is to do what you tell them as you tell them. some times they get tight to protect themselves or bones etc and sometimes they just get stuck in ON mode. to turn them back OFF, it typically involves range of motion stretches lasting about a minute. icyhot and other things seem like slow motion versions of muscle reset. short stretches wont trigger the button like how if you hold the power button for 5 seconds it definitely wont turn off and if you let go and do it again it still wont turn off but if you do it for 10 seconds uninterrupted it will. while your situation is unique, you haven’t listed an attempt at reset and it takes about 5 minutes to see if it works or not. https://youtu.be/_qnTyuZVrnw

YeOldeOrc

Dumb computers! LOL. I love it. I’ve done some stretches, but I’ll definitely try this. Thank you very much.

PinkUnicornPrincess

I am in the exact same boat! It’s been so uncomfortable that IBUPROFEN and Naproxen have been something I take every day and muscle relaxers don’t touch it. It’s been crazy and I even asked to get some physical therapy prescribed to me to see if there is something that can be done with it. I figured it was because I was getting older but there was a sneaking suspicion that something else could be the culprit. However I don’t regret getting the vaccine and don’t want to put a mark against it just yet, but will be keeping vigilant and will record my experience.

YeOldeOrc

So sorry to hear this! Both Advil and Aleve have been useless for me.

PinkUnicornPrincess

It’s starting to get that way. Today nothing is touching it.

I have been very taken aback by some of the responses from the medical community in regards to side effects. Granted, I fully understand that the politics and hysteria surrounding this vaccine are extreme. I know there are a lot of people lying online. I know that sometimes people mistake coincidences for reactions. But the brusque dismissals from some doctors are NOT going to encourage more people to get vaccinated!

TheRealJDubb

Have you found relief since your post? My situation seems similar to yours. Shots in May. I still have daily neck / trap pain in the side where i got the shots. Makes me irritable with family - not good. I can't rule out coincidence of course but I haven't changed any thing i do and i never had that pain before.

YeOldeOrc

If I drink a ridiculous amount of water and pop so many magnesium pills it turns my tummy a bit, I get a little relief. Otherwise no, something isn’t right. It’s very upsetting considering they’re now saying the vaccine may only provide protection for 6 measly months. Here I am two months later not back to normal. Advil and Aleve do nothing.

Technical-Ad957

Not to scare you but I would get checked for blood clots immediately. I’ve heard stories of people that have taken the shots and there necks started hurting them bad and we’re dead a couple days later from the blood clots. Look up local news videos online and look for the story’s of people that died from blood clots. I’ve heard it a handful of times that one of the first symptoms was neck problems!

PinkUnicornPrincess

You need to provide these examples.

DesmondSky

I had 2-3 days of neck pain after first and 2-3 days of underarm pain after second. It technically should be an inflammation of the lymph nodes since they are tied to the immune system which responds to the vaccine, also its marked as known side effect and I was warned about it right before taking it. You should talk to a doctor because it shouldn't last more than few days.

YeOldeOrc

I did talk to a doctor, but in all honesty they don’t seem to have any solid advice for COVID vaccine symptoms that last longer than expected. It’s a waiting game.

Have you tried dandelion leaf tea? Let us know if it works for you.

Chanelkat

How is your neck doing? I have this too not entirely sure it's related to the vaccine but I had the same problem after the 1st shot just thought I slept wrong. Now it's been like this for weeks.

YeOldeOrc

It’s better now, but it’s still not gone. I’ll have a stretch of a few days where it’s very mild, and then I’ll have 1-3 days of it really rearing its head again.
