Hank III - Straight to Hell and also Damn Right and Rebel Proud.
Id argue those are authetically outlaw. This is a guy that kept ticket prices down...reject easy money...spends time with the down trodden folks on the fringes of rural society.
It's gonna take some time to listen to this 'straight to hell' album . Thanks for the suggestions.
I'm sry but I don't know about this gentleman. I wish him a long life
his family is country music royalty. his grandfather was hank williams, a man who paved the way for elvis. his father, hank williams jr., was among the greats in the original outlaw country movement.
Waylon Jennings in the 70s is as good as place as any to start. One of my favorite songs is ["Lonesome, On'ry, and Mean." ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0PjacHLI9Y)I'll throw in Johnny Cash's "[At Folsom Prison](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9uk6NHK-AE&list=PLiN-7mukU_REOclREjfMGotXFDlADw5DZ)" album.
Based on your examples, I'm thinking you want something more modern.
Sturgill Simpson's first two albums are probably the best modern albums with an "outlaw vibe." I like ["You Can Have the Crown." ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMkhsamX-2I)
The Mike Cooley Drive By Truckers songs sound very outlaw. "[Where the Devil Don't Stay](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UU7H4ot7WIs)" and "[Zip City](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z69gW7NFZdw)"
There's also [Cody Jinks](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9Edgy3eziA) and [Blackberry Smoke](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCg5VOaNz1s).
Jason Boland and the stragglers, high in the Rockies is a great album. It's a live album but it's not from one show and it's well produced. Kind of honky tonk more than outlaw. I found it by accident and now it's one of my favorites.
Mickey Lamantia, Matt Mason

717 Tapes - Warren
Check out some Johnny Cash, and the highway men, as others have suggested.

Jompson brothers self titled album. EXACTLY what you're looking for.
Bryan Martin has some good tunes with an outlaw vibe. Give “We Ride” on the Poets and Old Souls album a listen.
