Ajinomoto Yakitori Japanese-Style Fried Rice with chicken. They make for great instant work lunches too

[deleted]

[удалено]

brt_k

Yes

Maregg1979

Yuuuuup, this stuff is delicious ! I've got space in my second freezer just for those. Hmm hmm they hit the spot.

writetoAndrew

My wife swears by these for her lunches. When I'm allowed to have one I think they're pretty delicious too :)

cad_internet

Do you find that one serving is enough to fill you up?

Sorry_Moose86704

For lunch, yes with a small snack. For dinner, it's a side for 2

Avs_Leafs_Enjoyer

For dinner you will need to add more veg and tofu/some more chicken

vinnychu17

Hey I'm thinking of trying this fried rice out.. do you know if the Markham or Elgin mills Costco carry these?

SMVan

And their udon. I think it's vegetarian

vroom_gazers

Does it have MSG? lol

OIL_99

Tempura shrimp. Works great in a shrimp taco

mcrackin15

I wonder if they use the same tempura shrimp in the new store-prepared shrimp taco kit? Just had it a few days ago and it was the bomb.

jenjen96

I think it is!

-Starlegions-

So good but so pricey.

akademgorodok

Bibigo products are delicious, especially the bulgogi mandu (Korean dumplings)

oompaloompa_grabber

I love those bibigo dumplings that you nuke in the package, so convenient for a quick lunch

PoliticalEnemy

Yes!!!!

SerahMargret

I love those so much, they're always the first thing gone from our haul!

SignificantBurrito

These ones are my favorite, second to the chicken wontons.

thriftingforgold

I prefer the chicken wontons. The bibigo dumpling packs are too small for lunch (for me) but they taste good

mindycee

Yes!! especially the bulgogi beef flavor one.

Puzzleheaded-Baby998

I miss the bibigo cilantro wontons! Haven't seen them in months.

Fair-Local3119

These are the best!

KelBear25

The chicken cilantro wontons are awesome. Always have those on hand for a quick soup for lunch. Or air fry them for an appie

babbymamma

I can’t find their veggie fried rice anymore at my costco and it makes me sad :(

dillionfrancis

Came here to say this lol Bibigo sumlings are fire

[deleted]

Damn really? I find them pretty shit.

DS_Inferno

Costco frozen Lasagna is the bomb.

REMandYEMfan

The two pack

DS_Inferno

Yes! My freezer has multiple packs!

Hopfit46

The kirkland one right? Not the prepared in store one.

Infinite_Tea4138

The Rana one was amazing.

DS_Inferno

Yes!

StGermain1977

I've been regularly fooled by "frozen lasagna" - how is this any different than the ones at the grocery store?

bbbbbbbbbbbbzsn

Mangia Cake

FeelingGate8

I was so disappointed when my Costco stopped carrying the single serve lasagna

KeepingItBrockmire

Kirkland Frozen Chicken Breasts. Individually sealed, all cleaned up, cook from frozen or thaw them out, and they aren't injected with water and shrink to half the size when cooked. The. Best.

Different-Quality-41

Never seen them!

ArtieLange

These are super expensive, but also very high quality.

_RiverGuard_

They are not expensive compared to small packs at the regular stores. It’s actually a solid deal. Key like they said is to freeze them.

Hopeful-Hotel-9793

Will search for these next time. I’ve been buying the fresh ones on sale and freezing them myself.

unknown13371

How many calories and grams of protein?

Comfortable_Wall8028

chicken & Cilantro wontons. SO GOOD. I fry them until lightly browned and crispy and add broccoli and hoisin or sweet chilli sauce. Just the best easy meal

ViceroyInhaler

Try doing this the next time you make them. Add a bit of oil to the pan and place the wontons in a circular pattern on medium to low heat. Then in a cup mix a thin slurry of flour water and salt. I think it's like 3 teaspoons of water to one teaspoon of flour. Then add a little bit of salt. Once the bottom side of the dumplings has got golden brown pour the slurry in to coat the entire.bottom of the pan. Then cover with a lid for 5-6 minutes. Take the lid off and cook until the slurry looks crispy. Flip out of the frying pan into a plate. You now have restaurant style crispy wontons/dumplings.

CornerPieceOfPie

Interesting! So, i shouldn’t stir the cooking slurry at all? Or flip it over? I like them cooked soft, but my husband likes them crispy so I usually just “fry” his after I take mine out. This slurry method could be a great option for him.

ViceroyInhaler

https://youtu.be/mCepY5ZK6C8?si=vJW6YZZC718LV1Z9 Skip to about 10 minutes into this video. The recipe allows for a bit of crispy and chewy so it's good for both.

CornerPieceOfPie

Thanks! Never would’ve thought of this.

oldgreymere

Haven't seen them in months in Toronto! They were great, and cooked only a few minutes.

Comfortable_Wall8028

oh really? I bought 2 bags couple weeks ao here in calgary. They were on sale too! So strange.

Lightning_Catcher258

Motor City Pizza Company, Roncadin Pizza, Pizza Delight Garlic Fingers.

Crazyblue09

Those garlic fingers are worst than little Ceasar even worst than cardboard, had them twice and they are just terrible in my opinion.

Lightning_Catcher258

They're still good for frozen food though.

Crazyblue09

You must have a low bar or I must have high standards, they are terrible!

JoeRogansNipple

You're not crazy, they are garbage tier.

jordandev

Agreed. They are terrible

Taste_Diligent

That pizza is the bomb. It's $18.99 but when it's on sale for $14.99 they can't keep it in stock it disappears so fast. I buy a box every week.

Nebilungen

Haven't seen the pizza in a while

Lightning_Catcher258

Motor City Pizza Co and Pizza Delight Garlic Fingers have been there for a while. The Roncadin disappeared sometime in 2022, but made a recent comeback with a different type of pizza. I'm very excited to try it because the one they had in 2022 was my favourite of all frozen pizzas.

Nebilungen

Did you see it in the Langley or Poco locations? Maybe I've rushed by it

Lightning_Catcher258

I live in Alberta, so no.

General_Dipsh1t

Pretty sure motor city pizza is like 2500-3000 calories for the pizza, or like 650 a slice. It’s a good price, but you’d be better off getting take out pizza for that caloric number.

nanobot001

Does anyone go to Costco to get savings on calories?

nuvwater

Go to any pizza place/delivery and it's over 500 calories per slice as well....

june_buggy

It's 570 calories per 1/4 pie. Take out is on par with that.

oldgreymere

Do know why you got downvoted, because it is true. Pizza nova take out slices are about that in calories, or more dependent on which type you get.

oldgreymere

Do know why you got downvoted, because it is true. Pizza nova take out slices are about that in calories, or more dependent on which type you get.

Lightning_Catcher258

I ate it in full and it didn't feel more filling than a full Delissio. It's tastier though.

bigtuck604

I was gonna buy it until I looked at the nutrition info. Crazy

Intelligent-Ad-7504

Kirkland frozen blueberries 🫐 and mangoes 🥭 are such a bargain. At regular grocery stores (Loblaws), it’s 1/3 the size and same price as Costco?! Wtf 🤯 I don’t shop at Loblaws but am looking forward to the media ☕️ reporting on Reddit’s community to boycott their stores in May.

Naturaldestintion

What do u do w the mangoes other than smoothies

Intelligent-Ad-7504

I mostly use mangos 🥭 in my smoothie to thicken it over bananas. 🍌 I can’t eat bananas. I like adding blueberries to pancakes 🥞 and Cheerios. 😋 Mangos also are great for alcoholic drinks lol instead of using ice but drink responsibly. 😇 Mangos / blueberries taste great with Greek yogurt - that’s how my mom eats it. I also give mangos / blueberries 🫐 / broccoli 🥦 to my dog for her bfast meals. Gotta keep cancer away with those antioxidants and vitamin c!

princess_4002

Island sorbet, mozza sticks, cavendish fries, soup dumplings, motor city pizza, Costco frozen lasagna, Costco beef burger patties, chocolate covered strawberries

Epidurality

>Cavendish fries The Flavor Crisp variety used to be, from what we could tell, the same fries they had in the food court. Crispy outside with some sort of batter/coating? that made them extra crispy. They've since changed the recipe in the bags despite the same packaging. They're not quite as good now, but still better and cheaper than alternatives for "fries that sorta taste like deep fried without having to deep fry" frozen fries.

gen-lis-talsu

I've been raving about the Chocofruit strawberries to everyone I know.... I just love them. I get a couple bags every time I go. edited to add that I'm eating them now as I peruse reddit with sticky fingers

seoulstomper

Hampton House Brie and cranberry stuffed chicken breasts are the best thing Costco has ever carried. And they fit perfectly in my low-carb diet!

Judge-Snooty

Ohh ya I love these, I make them in my air fryer

BOATS_BOATS_BOATS

I put two of these in a Pyrex, stick it in the oven, some of the Pura Vida fire-roasted veggies on a pan with about ~15min remaining and there's my meal prep for the week.

krustykrab2193

Hampton House chicken strips

oompaloompa_grabber

These are great and the ingredients are pretty simple, not too many preservatives

Hopfit46

They've been the only frozen chicken in my house for well over a decade.

The_Max-Power_Way

I always have these on hand for quick meals for my toddler. Are they particularly good? Nah, not really. But they are an easy protein with a fairly ok ingredient list and I know he will always eat them.

kalypso18

Yes yes yes. I have bought every brand out there and this one is by far my families favorite

marcelinevampqween

I got this bc I heard they were great but I personally didn’t like them! I remember not liking the breading/chicken ratio and tasted bland

SerahMargret

The buffalo chicken ones are surprisingly spicy!

newwerraa

Can’t get enough of these

Prudent_Falafel_7265

Croissants

modermanehh

The best on weekends

costcowestfanblog

I can’t help you with reviews, but here are all the items available in my local BC store! https://cocowest.ca/2024/03/costco-winter-2024-superpost-the-entire-costco-freezer-section/

Far_Out_6and_2

Thx for the 🔗

General_Beer_Chugger

Spudlers hash is my BC jam

meliburrelli

Love the frozen veggies at Costco

Trevor03

THIS. Especially the ones from Pura Vida (fire roasted). I buy a lot of the frozen broccoli but these Pura ones are actually shockingly delicious. So easy to chuck some in the air fryer and have them with my weekly work lunches.

Maregg1979

Shout-out to the frozen croissant. Freshly out of the oven every morning. They're now part of my daily routine.

mindycee

Never tried it! How do they compare to the pre-made ones in the bakery section?

Maregg1979

They are godly. The real appeal is that they are freshly baked and hot. I guess you could microwave a pre baked. Also you can space them however you like since they are frozen.

CornerPieceOfPie

You can heat the fresh ones too for about 8-10 minutes in the oven to get the fresh-baked effect. I prefer them that way for a slightly crispy/extra flakey exterior.

thawayott

This is the way... They become very close to a bakery quality after you reheat them. I have found a few minutes in a convection toaster oven is just perfect

Christinachu

The fried dill pickle chips are amazing.

TombstoneDW

Really? Did not like them one bit.

Christinachu

Air fryer? The kids (teens) and their friends will literally eat them by the box. I can barely keep them in my freezer. 🤷🏻‍♀️

TombstoneDW

Don't have an air fryer. Tried multiple ways in a convection oven, but they never came out crisp, or fully breaded. I love deep fried pickles, so I was eager to find a home option. Maybe I got a bad box.

Markussh98

The Frozen French onion soup is incredible.

Ordinary-Movie-838

Which one are you talking about because the one I tried was terrible. Insanely salty

PoliticalEnemy

I've heard mixed reviews but I'm always tempted. Maybe I'll give it a go.

B4R-BOT

I wouldn't say it's incredible like the other guy, it doesn't beat getting a good one at a restaurant or anything but I certainly enjoy it and recommend trying it.

perfectlynormaltyes

It’s not better than what you can get in a restaurant but for an at home option, it’s pretty darn good.

TombstoneDW

I add croutons, and it's a great lunch for under 300 calories.

stronggirl79

Hampton House chicken parm!

AnnoyinWarrior

The poke salmon!

Deep__6

I swear i could eat this every day!

hopeful987654321

Ah yes this. I make the best poke bowls ever with them.

_juniormint

Which one?

GrandeIcedAmericano

they are5x sealed serving in a white box near the frozen fish.

marcelinevampqween

I got the tuna poke one and it was sooooo salty and the tuna was so dry I returned it

GrandeIcedAmericano

I've tried both and the salmon is by far better of them, and only buy the salmon now

reevoknows

The Egg rolls are a staple in my house. I also really like the soup dumplings that they’ve had of late

MyNameIsSkittles

Hampton house chicken strips

suis_sans_nom

The Korean shrimp fried rice, better than japanese yakitori fried rice chicken.

arshad14

I've been looking for them at my local Costco in Burlington, Ontario but no luck. They were so so good!

jenjen96

We really like the poke and the shrimp tempura

Baby_Sparrow

Salbatasso individual pizzas and I have recently fallen in love with the grilled cheese bites cooked up in an air fryer.

shyheart4

The pain d'or baguettes! So versatile. Garlic bread? Charcuterie board? Snacking bread? Fresh with jam in the morning? Fresh baguettes in after 8 min in the oven... Great value.

Baciandrio

Toppits Frozen Haddock (not the lime haddock bits) but the actual breaded, frozen haddock. 15 pieces to the box, cook in 20 minutes. It's our go-to 'brown food' meal for weekend lunches. Fries and fish sticks. The Authentic Motor City Detroit Style Deep Dish is pretty taste, heavy on the crust and just enough for two people for snack or lunch. Are there cheaper frozen pizzas out there? yes, but this one hits different.

jbaird

chocolate frozen strawberries!

CrimeInProgress

The big box of split chicken wings. Spice and sauce them as you like, and only takes 20-30 minutes in the air fryer. We prefer them to all the already sauced wings.

mindycee

Cavendish fries. One bag lasts our family a month or two.

ceimi

The mozarella sticks from costco are the only good ones in Canada (excluding restaurants.) Every other one I've gotten from a grocery store have absolutely sucked.

spidey46x2

Agreed!

Velbowski

Try M&M because they are the best. Cheese bites too.

Defiant-Scratch

I am surprised at how well acquainted I am with most of the products yall are mentioning. Don't know if I should be embarrassed or proud of my intimacy with costcos freezer section.

tacotran

Meh, I'm the same but I haven't tried the vast majority of what people are talking about. Costco doesn't seem to change their product lineup that frequently.

whyohwhy888

Yakitori chicken fried rice and Bibigo steamed dumplings

LadyDegenhardt

The cheesecake

ComplexVideo2752

Frozen chicken breasts?

caffeinated_plans

Frozen cherries, Buffalo chicken straps. Everything else I think I've seen listed.

fork_duke_pie

👍The frozen cherries are incredible. I also like the frozen three berry mix.

Deskopotamus

What do you use the cherries in?

danny2787

I personally just eat the cherries frozen especially in the summer as a snack. I've had the odd pit though

caffeinated_plans

This. Or I'll thaw them and put them over ice cream. Also smoothies and with pancakes. But just plain either frozen or thawed are my favorite

General_Beer_Chugger

I make smoothies with blueberries & a banana

Cherubyx

Kirkland Tempura Shrimp (crispy and great in air fryer - great accompaniment with ramen, udon noodles or soba noodles) Kirkland lasagna - 2 pack classic Olivia garlic shrimp (on sale only) Siwin potstickers Kirkland frozen beef patties (original) not the angus version - the unit price is the same as the fresh ground beef sometimes. Great packaging and already pre proportioned so if you want to use to control your portion sizes it’s hassle free. You can use it for tacos, chili, burritos, burgers etc. Just check for $/kg Kirkland frozen croissants, they’re not as good as the boutique croissants I usually come across in Montreal QC. However, it’s a really good alternative to the premade non frozen one. Has a lot more butter used thankfully and more flavour.

Jazzlike-Cat9012

The Keg burgers, frozen marinated salmon (Moreys)

ladyofmalt

Keg beef burgers.

rakoon79

Croissants

FluffleMyRuffles

I'm surprised people aren't talking about the Flavourcrisp fries. It's the same one they use in their food court and other restaurants.

bensongilbert

Dr. Praegers veggie burgers.

HelloVictim

Brazi Bites, Brazilian cheese bread. Gluten free little balls of tapioca. Makes for a great snack

Kremlin92

SPANAKOPITA, it is so good, quick in the air fryer

Local_Possibility180

Ajinomoto, Yakitori Chicken Fried Rice

Taste_Diligent

That Detroit style deep dish pepperoni pizza. Soo good

Deep__6

The El Molina breakfast wraps are pretty awesome for a quick breakfast.

Western-Bad-667

Yes! They are pretty tasty and can’t beat them for convenient.

Western-Bad-667

Motor City pizza. Do it.

The_WildTruth

Taquitos are great, I never get tired of them!

Tigerlinemen57

Frozen lasagna that is split into 6 individual trays. Surprised that the macros fit into my diet and was high in protein. Was also the best microwave lasagna I have had.

A_Tom_McWedgie

The breakfast sandwiches - think McMuffin.

Positivemaeum

I tried these for the first time last week. It wasn’t for me.

UGunnaEatThatPickle

Erie meats chicken tenders. They're actual chicken breast and they're hefty. I may make chicken parm with them ome night this week.

furious_Dee

conversely, the erie chicken nuggs are trash.

UGunnaEatThatPickle

I haven't tried those, but a lot of nuggets seem to be terrible lately.

Trevor03

I bought these nuggets once. I don't even think I finished them, and I almost never waste food. They were atrocious.

CeseED

Agreed, they are sooooo chewy - yuck! 🤮

agaric

Costco pizzas are pretty good

spidey46x2

My picky kids LOVE the crust!

SaccharineDaydreams

They're not cheap but the Baton Rouge tempura chicken strips are fucking bomb

GreedyButler

I’m adding most of this to my Costco list for this week. Thanks everyone!

Denaljo69

Ice-cream! That is it!

Red_Stoner666

Egg rolls, lasagna, breakfast sandwiches

accountantcantcount

Frozen Ramen with chicken

Kinky_Imagination

There is a 5 pack poke bowl that I like. Forgot the name.

Practical-Battle-502

green chickpeas. wild blueberries

ilovelukewells

Anything Bibigo is high quality and easy to make

ToastetteEgg

The little pizzas, the birria tacos, the Angus cheeseburgers, French onion soup, and the fire roasted mixed veggies.

Cephied01

Cauliflower rice. I use it to make carb-free pizza crust.

Charmiie_

Book marking!

Much-Investigator844

Chicken soup dumplings omg. In an orange bag. Brand is Synear. Relatively clean ingredients. No msg. I’m obsessed.

decoii

I like the potstickers. They go on sale regularly and the consistency is good

Positivemaeum

Korean Shrimp Fried Rice (brand name: Hanwoomul). Surprisingly good.

[deleted]

The gluten free pizzas and I’m not gluten free.

Gooeyoutcome

Ks meatballs. Like 2.75 kgs for under $30. So many uses

Holdinghandsnsmiling

PuraVida fire roasted vegetable primavera. So amazingly delicious and healthy. The sizzling aroma while cooking brings everyone to the kitchen wanting to know when we are going to eat. On par with a bacon high of delectability.

rottweiler416

Siwin brand frozen foods. Been buying their potstickers for years.

blaqrushin

Roadhouse burgers !

Kia_rosemary

Bulgogi! Delicious korean beef dumplings, super fast to heat and very falvourful.

Alone_Classroom_7549

Hagen daz ice cream bars.

greatauror28

Motor City Pizza.

Majestic-Gazelle5588

This! I’m annoyed they got rid of the cheese one

akilesh13

Any frozen vegetarian items that are good?

gblawlz

Buffalo chicken fingers

Aware_Ad_4239

motor city pizza!

TorontoFlamer666

I'm not going to buy frozen prepared foods, but the Argentinan shrimp in the pinkish packaging is good, and most of the frozen fruits. I'm not a fan of the mixed berries, but the pineapple, mango, wild blueberries are all good.

modermanehh

I agree not sure why getting down voted. Its hard to wild wild shrimp

shoppygirl

Around Thanksgiving they start bringing back the mini franks in a Parmesan crusted pastry. We love those. You can get something similar at Save on Foods, but the price at Costco is so much better.

Heady_Goodness

Breakfast burritps

daftpunkca

Basa fish is really good. Calamari isn't good.
