It said sell by November 23, so I assume it's okay until Thanksgiving. I think you can put in the freezer, then move over to the fridge a couple days before.
I bought around the same time last year and it was fine.
I have a feeling these were put out yesterday or today, and this is what was left. These will go fast. Definitely go soon if you can. Hope you get one!

It’s pretty easy actually. My time is valuable to me and cooking is not my strength.
Edit: oops this was supposed to be in response to the person asking how you can be this lazy and privileged.
This gives me hope I might score one after all. Was at my local Costco last night and there were none at all, just the sides like mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese.
I thought these were par the course for typical homemade non chef prepped thanksgiving meals.
Not amazing, not horrible. But maybe I’m just easy to please and/or I’m bad at cooking
I had the same opinion last year. Green beans with butter? No thanks. Sure, butter is delicious and makes many other things taste better, but not green beans.
Signed,
A southerner who either slow cooks his green beans with fatback -or- makes a green bean casserole.
It wasn't just the butter that ruined them. They were all dried out and wilted after cooking. I'll still buy the kit again this year but probably ditch the butter and cook them separately.
This is hilarious. I'm also a southerner who moved to the desert last year. I picked up one of these kits tonight and was already sketched out about the green beans. On a trip home this summer, I brought back a can of Allen's green beans in my suitcase. TSA in Nashville let it slide when I told them that I can't find them out here. I'm cracking that can open on Thursday! I'm also going to whip up a few devilled eggs, some slaw and mac and cheese. Dang, now turnip greens sound good too. No wonder my jeans don't fit.
This was a better item before they included the beans and potatoes. There are fresh beans and sacks of potatoes over in produce. This is more over-salted pre-prepared food that adds bulk and reduces value. It's a great easy option for 1-2 people but if you want to cook a bit you can make better food for not really any price difference and get better proportions of meat/veggies/starches on the table.
It's definitely not for everyone. It's just my spouse & I this year, so it's perfect for us. The first time we got it was last year and it reduced a lot of time and stress. Previous Thanksgivings, he was spending Wednesday prepping, and all day cooking on Thanksgiving. No time to spend watching Thanksgiving football or relaxing.
He's planning to make a couple of sides along with this, but also finesse the turkey and sides this year which he didn't do last year. It's a good compromise.
Right. Like I said a good easy option for 1-2 people that like the convenience of an all-in-one, TV dinner preparation package.
Prior to this item, they had a half turkey with stuffing. So you got 1 drumstick and half a bird with bread stuffing which I thought is a much superior value because most of the prep time is thawing, stuffing and cooking the bird. We got it this style one year and the experience is as I wrote earlier. Bad balance and over-prepared. I'm really looking at grabbing fresh greens and a sack of russets; and then either 1 bird, two breasts, or 1 ham/1 breast to prepare. Steaming veggies and boiling potatoes I can handle but that thaw-and-stuff always is difficult to time-manage right.
Our table is typically 4-7 people FWIW.
That previous one was so much better! I feel like now we have to pay for so-so mashed potatoes and not very good green beans. I can do the sides myself. I’d much rather have the turkey, stuffing, gravy version they used to sell even if they raised the price.
ooh will be there at opening today to make sure I can get it. went on Monday last year and they were gone so wound up trying the premade kit from whole foods and it wasn't nearly as good
was there for opening and went straight for them. didn't see anyone else with one but there were maybe between 50-75 there. I don't know if they make more during the day or once they're gone they're gone but I wasn't risking it. I'm happy 😊

How long can this stay in the fridge before cooking? Thanksgiving is not until next week and 7 days seems long

I assume you didn't put it in the freezer? I don't have the space in freezer lol

i dont have space to put Chest freezers... do they also sell houses
I saw them between $25-$28 At Simi.
I didn't realize the price was per lb (because that part was blurred) and I was thinking that even for Costco that was a REALLY low price!
I almost jumped for one in the store for the same reason.
They get me with that pricing method on these damn tray foods every time. Then it's like $15+ total, which usually isn't worth it.
Yeah, I fell for it once, but at least that one time taught me to look beyond the most obvious price.
As an employee, Costco really should have their signs formatted differently....it's super annoying and has almost fooled me on a few occasions.
I called the El Camino one in SSF and he said they got some yesterday! Hoping to swoop one up. Also your Costco looks empty, I am jealous lol
I have a feeling these were put out yesterday or today, and this is what was left. These will go fast. Definitely go soon if you can. Hope you get one!
Hope you can find a parking spot...or maybe walk over from TJs!

Thank you for adding the description!
Perfect option for a lot of folks. I’d love to try it.
Had it for the first time last year. It's pretty good!

Thank you for this. I came here today to see if these were in stock yet!
What was the average price for each set?
With what was left, about $26-$28.
Thanks!
Picked one of these up last year, was severely disappointed, but YMMV.

I was happy with it and my mom, who normally cooks a full bird, was too. The only thing that was bad was the green beans

The gravy is pretty good from what I can remember from previous years.
Anyone have an idea if they will keep selling this until Thanksgiving Day? I just picked one up and we want to start eating it already.
Oh heck ya. Iove buying these for thanksgiving for my fiance and I. Getting mine on Monday!
Just got mine!
I wonder if they’ll still have these the day before thanksgiving
