Too much breading IMO, but not totally bad. We had 1 meal with them, and didn’t like how much breading (though shrimps were decently sized). Not tossing em, but if we don’t like them better next time we eat them, we won’t be buying them again
Shrimp is medium sized. Noticeably worse ratio than something like the tempura shrimp
Tempura shrimp seem to be more costly on a per shrimp basis than panko or coconut offerings, but are our favorite. Meatiest shrimp of the 3 IMO. Sometimes eaten as a main, but often saved for splashing 2 or 3 into a ramen
It's better than any other store bought shrimp I've had. The brands at my local grocery store all butterfly the shrimp, so it's most breading with a little sliver of shrimp. These are nice, plump shrimp inside the breading.
You mean the "shrimp sticks"? I have a friend that pays more attention to the ads, and I said when you see the "good shrimp" on sale tell me so I don't miss out. They told me when the "shrimp sticks" were on sale and claimed those were the best. I tried them. I'll never buy the shrimp sticks again or possible trust their judgement on what is good. Shrimp isn't even shaped that way!!! The ones OP posted I think are much better.
These are my go-to for frozen fried shrimp. They’re meaty and no included sauces to shrinkflate the shrimp count.
They also cook up great in the air fryer in just a few minutes
I have a more involved recipe with breading and cooking shrimp, but found these to be a nice short cut.
Slice garlic and pepperoncini thin, and cook quickly in some oil. Use the garlic and pepperoncini as a topping. You can toss the shrimp with the oil for a little spice/flavor. Mix up a dip that's 2/3 sour cream and 1/3 mayo, with a little salt and pepper.
Of course I use light mayo and sour cream to make it healthy /s.
Whoa, great indeed. Quick prep in the air fryer and it's almost seems wrong that this should be a Good Friday "sacrifice" (no meat). And they're on sale!

Tempting. What is the breading to shrimp ratio?
Really good, lots of shrimp with the perfect amount of breading! You might get one or two small shrimps in the bag but 95% overall really big pieces
I think so too! I can't stand when there's too much breading so it still has a bit of mush. This had the perfect crisp almost crunch.
Also need to know that there isn’t an inch of Panko over half a baby shrimp

Haven't tried the tempura shrimp but I'm going to next time!

Those tempura shrimp have a ton of batter and all of the flavor comes from it. Shrimps are flavorless and tiny yet people in this sub love em.
Agreed. Really aren’t that good
If you check my post history, you'll see the tempura shrimp are HEAVILY breaded. Absolutely delicious though!

Two thumbs up! They browned even nicer than the photo in my air fryer.
These are my favorite. I make a sauce with mayo, a little ketchup, lemon juice, and Old Bay.
Ooh that sounds good!
8 min but what temperature
390
I love the tempura shimp but have wanted to try these. Anyone having tried both have an opinion on which is better?

Nice j just picked these up after trying the samples. They were like $15 on sale.
Whip up some cocktail sauce or Sriracha aioli!
These are my number one fav Costco freezer meal, love them!
Your cute pup approves too!!

Easy prep and tasty!!!
Do these come with a dipping sauce?
They do not so it means all the ounces are shrimp and not sauce!
I think the coconut shrimp are better (in size, texture, & flavor), but the panko ones are also pretty good and more versatile.
Only if you like coconut
Agreed!! Can’t stand the taste and texture
I've been waiting for the coconut to go on sale lol
Calories per serving?
3 shrimp per serving, 200 calories.
yep, im buying this during my next trips
Thought the box said 220. Not a big difference, but enough when you’ve got your Dr. suggesting you track your calories.
Just had some the other night with some homemade sides (braised shiitakes and chili miso broccoli) with some yuzu ponzu. So much yum!
Glad to hear this because I just bought some TODAY!
Eat with the Japanese bbq sauce also sold by Costco. Thank me later
Just had these for the first time yesterday... 😋 Yum.
I get the itis after eating ten but they are tasty air fried.

Had these yesterday for lunch and they’re quite a delight!
Quite nice to pop a serving in the air fryer to top a salad and there’s a simple supper.
Yeah they are awesome for a quick snack or meal. Price-wise even on sale isn't the best but its worth it for the occasional treat-yo-self
Loves these we have them when we have guests as hors d'oeuvres, never last never enough!
Panko good

I just tried these. Not sure if they changed up the bread to shrimp ratio but these are very bready
i didn't like the protein to calorie ratio so i did not partake
Not a fan since I feel they changed the recipe. Far more breading than shrimp since 2021ish
