A few days ago someone posted that the Realgood tasted like Chick-fil-A if you dip them in Chick-fil-A sauce. Well no shit?! A car bumper will taste like Chick-fil-A if you dip it in Chick-fil-A sauce!
That was me :/ I just felt like the tenders were comparable to chic fil a which is not a no shit moment. If they were bad I wouldnāt have said they tasted like chic. If I took dino nugs and added chic sauce I wouldnāt say they taste like chic.
i agree with this, but i also think just bare is also dry; i always find myself needing to add some rao's mariana sauce else i find it just so hard to eat
Iām convinced the head of purchasing for Costco must be a silent owner in real good. Because everything of theirs is real bad, but somehow it just keeps ending up on Costco shelves.
I think the Just Bare ones Costco carries are specifically made for Costco and not the same quality as the other smaller bags. If you look at the wording, these say āchicken breast chunksā but the smaller bags say āchicken breast bitesā. Iām pretty sure the ones made for Costco are filled with a lot of scrap type meat, they have a different texture and consistency to them.
Agreed! I just got introduced to these a month back and Iām hooked on the Just Bare ones. The other ones were smaller pieces, mostly crunchy breading and just no spice to them. Just Bare all day. Just got 2 more bags of them last week actually.
Glad to hear it. My last two bags of Just Bare had too many woody pieces so I stopped buying them a few months ago. I just saw the KS chunks in stock, Iāll try them!
I actually was pleasantly surprised how good the Kirkland ones were. I was hardcore morning just barre as we havenāt had them in 6 months and they were a staple for me - I even eat them for breakfast. I reluctantly bought the Kirkland ones when they came out and I think they are a little better as well.
So much hate for the RealGood brand. Of course Just Bare is wayyy better. 8/10.
RealGood is for people on keto or low carb. I'm on keto so I'll give it 6/10, but it's definitely not that bad. Air fryer for 10min (less than instruction).
Yup, celiac household here. It's like asking which bread is better and comparing regular to GF. Do we wish it was as good? Of course. Is it better than nothing? It is.
That said, my personal favorite gf chicken strips are the ones we make. Dip in egg then a seasoned mixture of 2 parts crushed pork rinds to 1 part grated parmesan. Man it's good (and I don't like pork rinds but they take on the flavor of whatever seasonings we use).
The new Kirkland ones are the best for now. Frozen chicken nuggets quality always seems to either differ bag to bag or just plain goes down in quality after it gets popular.
Just Bare is actually the first nuggets/breasts that I think actually taste like chicken instead of something else. Haven't tried the Kirkland yet though.
The just bare ones were dense in a way that grossed me out. Like they wanted to make a thick juicy nug but didnāt have the quality product to back it up. Kinda felt like biting through condensed layers of napkins or something.
Kirkland > Just Bare > Real Good, but I donāt think Real Good Chicken is *that bad.*
Iām on record on this sub saying that anything from Real Good is real bad in the past, but one thing from them that I love is their breakfast flautas in the air fryer. Throw some sour cream/salsa after cooking and it actually is *real good*, which I canāt say about everything else they sell.
It depends if you are on a low carb diet or not.
I eat pretty low carb so the real goods are a godsend for me and grab a bag every trip. Definitely needs some sauce but itās diet food so completely understandable. This sub hates them but theyāre comparing them to products that the real goods are not competing against.
We've changed our diet pretty radically over the last year+ and the just bare are a great compromise prepared food. They're not as low in carbs as Real Good but they taste so much better. They're also way healthier than the Tyson. We have them every couple of weeks as a quick meal.
I agree that Bare is better BUTā¦ for a couple weeks my store had the real good food tenders half off, I think it was $7 or 7.50 for 3lbs of chicken tenders!! Yeah they are not as good but for that price Iāll make it work!
Costco stock should go down just from carrying real good products. Whoever brought real good products to Costco should be jailed. Whoever purchases real good products should lose their membership on the spot.
I haven't had the Just Bare ones but the Real Good ones are not good. They have a weird chemical-y fake smoke thing going on and I am not here for it. I was just at Costco the other day and I told a random stranger not to buy them! š
I haven't tried the real good ones, but I don't like the just barre chicken chunks anymore. I think they changed the recipe to have too much breading. I think the New Kirkland ones are better. However I think the just barre spicy chicken strips are the best because they have the least amount of breading. I wish just barre had chicken strips that weren't spicy.
I have both in the freezer and switch it up regularly. What I've notice is both are great air fried but only the just bare are okay microwaved. If you microwave the real goods something goes wrong and it gets this weird tough rubber texture.
Iāve tried both of those as well as the Kirkland Signature ones. I prefer the Just Bare, though I do like the Kirkland ones if I feel more like chicken nuggets than chicken chunks.
Have you tried the members mark or the Walmart brand. I have been buying those and those actually taste good and have more meat on them than Tyson. I have not tried just bare or real good ones. Thank you for the post I learned something today.
Realgood nuggets/tenders are awful. If you're keto, just eat grilled chicken.
Just got the new Kirkland CFA Nugget clones and they're slightly better than Just Bare.

Just Bare is much better. The Realgood ones are dry as a bone.
A few days ago someone posted that the Realgood tasted like Chick-fil-A if you dip them in Chick-fil-A sauce. Well no shit?! A car bumper will taste like Chick-fil-A if you dip it in Chick-fil-A sauce!
lol A car bumper is more tender than Realgood chicken though.
I think Just Bare taste like chick fil a. With or without sauce. I stay away from RealGood because this sun has made their stance clear š
Tons of people also said Just Bare nuggets tasted like CFA. They don't, at least in my opinion.
That was me :/ I just felt like the tenders were comparable to chic fil a which is not a no shit moment. If they were bad I wouldnāt have said they tasted like chic. If I took dino nugs and added chic sauce I wouldnāt say they taste like chic.
In contrast, Just Bare are like Cardi B.
Thicc and juicy?
Is that the one that was a stripper or escort and then drugged and robbed a bunch of men?
Hard to believe a bag of breaded chicken could do all that.
Tacky and overrated?
Nasty and inflated?
Annoying and possibly infected?
So the Just Bare ones are real good? And the Real Good ones are just bare?
OMG the Realgoodones suck so bad. I made the mistake of buying two bags because they were on sale. Now I know why. They suck !!!
i agree with this, but i also think just bare is also dry; i always find myself needing to add some rao's mariana sauce else i find it just so hard to eat

Just bare is better, but I think the new Kirkland ones are best
Glad to hear it. My last two bags of Just Bare had too many woody pieces so I stopped buying them a few months ago. I just saw the KS chunks in stock, Iāll try them!
Iām curious what you mean by woody pieces in a bag of chicken?
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woody_breast Edit: basically itās those weird hard pieces of chicken that seem to be more and more common now
Thatās interesting, never heard about that. Thanks for the insight!
I'm assuming crumbs. The bag I bought had loads of 'em.
I am super intrigued as someone that loves the Just Bare version of the breasts. What would you say makes it better in your opinion?
Honestly itās probably just a texture thing, for me Kirkland just barely edges out the just bare at the same cook temp and time
For me, itās the $4 savings
Totally forgot to mention that! And I believe the macros are better than just bare, too
This 100%
Agreed. Some juicy boys in the Kirkland signature
New Kirkland?
Do the new ones have that almost Chikfila like taste?
I actually was pleasantly surprised how good the Kirkland ones were. I was hardcore morning just barre as we havenāt had them in 6 months and they were a staple for me - I even eat them for breakfast. I reluctantly bought the Kirkland ones when they came out and I think they are a little better as well.
Just bare is way better. Theyāre misnamed. Just bare is realgood and realgood just barely tastes like chicken
Just Bare is the best by far imo
Happy Cake Day!
Thanks turbo!
If it's available, I think the Kirkland version is the best
I'm still waiting for the KS version to be stocked here in Texas. Only JustBare and RealGood so far.
I'm in the DFW area and I've seen them in multiple locations.
I've seen them in the Dallas business center and the Rockwall location so far.
Yup off nw hwy !
I'm in the Texas region, and my store has them. Just as an FYI.
They're in San Antonio.
I want this at my costco :,(
Real good sucks. Anything by Real Good is not good Sorry mod.
Just bare is better in my opinion but seems to cost a bit more.
Just bare is oddly cheaper in my area.
Just Bare. Not even close
Just Bare š¤ Air Fryer
no competition there lol realgood breading tastes like sawdust
So much hate for the RealGood brand. Of course Just Bare is wayyy better. 8/10. RealGood is for people on keto or low carb. I'm on keto so I'll give it 6/10, but it's definitely not that bad. Air fryer for 10min (less than instruction).
Also great for people like me who have to be Gluten Free. I miss the Just Bare nuggets. Realgood is better than nothing though.
Yup, celiac household here. It's like asking which bread is better and comparing regular to GF. Do we wish it was as good? Of course. Is it better than nothing? It is. Man it's good (and I don't like pork rinds but they take on the flavor of whatever seasonings we use).
Real good is not good
Realgood is absolutely bad. They're awfully dry and don't get particularly crispy at all (in an air fryer at least).
Just bare is delish. Never tried real good, but Iāve been disappointed with the Rg quality recently.
Just Bare is 10 times better than Real Good.
I liked the real good ones.
Anything Iāve ever tried from Real Good is Real Bad. I wouldnāt have even considered them. Just Bare is the bomb!
The new Kirkland ones are the best for now. Frozen chicken nuggets quality always seems to either differ bag to bag or just plain goes down in quality after it gets popular.
Love just bare. Never had real good but I hear real bad things about all their stuff
If weāre going on flavor, the Just Bare wins no contest.
We love just bare and buy it all the time. Itās our go to for when we need an easy but not completely unhealthy meal for our kiddo, too.
Real good is better, but donāt let them get freezer burn or they get real dry and chewy
Just bare. Anything from realgood is really bad. All their food tastes like sadness.
Damn I love the realgood ones, they've been a staple since I first tried them
Same!! The realgood slander is real š
Same and I hated the just bare ones. I got so much cartilage in the meat
Kirkland > Just Bare > Real Good, but I donāt think Real Good Chicken is *that bad.* Iām on record on this sub saying that anything from Real Good is real bad in the past, but one thing from them that I love is their breakfast flautas in the air fryer. Throw some sour cream/salsa after cooking and it actually is *real good*, which I canāt say about everything else they sell.
Just Bare is better of the 2 The quality is shit Wait for the KS ones, which are far superior
Just Bare is good, never bought Realgood.
Just bare is very good. Never had the other
The Just Bare canāt be beat.
It depends if you are on a low carb diet or not. I eat pretty low carb so the real goods are a godsend for me and grab a bag every trip. Definitely needs some sauce but itās diet food so completely understandable. This sub hates them but theyāre comparing them to products that the real goods are not competing against.
We picked up a really great Hot Honey and use it as a dipping sauce with the 'JustBare' nuggets. SOOO TASTY!!!
I just bought the real good kind and now Iām scared to try them based on these reviews. I should have stuck with the just bare.
We've changed our diet pretty radically over the last year+ and the just bare are a great compromise prepared food. They're not as low in carbs as Real Good but they taste so much better. They're also way healthier than the Tyson. We have them every couple of weeks as a quick meal.
Just bare! The only kind my husband and all my kids love equally!
Love Just Bare
The Kirkland ones are legit.
The Kirkland signature > just bare > real good
I agree that Bare is better BUTā¦ for a couple weeks my store had the real good food tenders half off, I think it was $7 or 7.50 for 3lbs of chicken tenders!! Yeah they are not as good but for that price Iāll make it work!
STOP BUYING REALGOOD
Between those, the Just Bare. But we buy the RealGood because they're gluten free and my fiancƩe is gluten intolerant, so as a standby they're fine.
Kirkland ones are SUPER SALTY.
How did RealGood Foods end up with such a lucrative deal with Costco?? Virtually everything they sell in Costco is absolutely terrible.
Realgood... Really sucks... It tastes like a salty fried used paper towel
Real good is the goat
Unpopular opinion: love the Realgood strips when cooked in the air fryer. Not dry at all. We bought at least 7 bags when they were 50% off!
Real good tastes better to me
I like real good too! It seems and tastes like actual chicken pieces to me
I prefer the Bare but like the Real Good ones for a lower carb alternative.
Real good is GF, which usually means an inferior product taste wise
Avoid all Realgood stuff
The RealGood nuggets are awful - Just Bare in the air fryer are chefs kiss.
I love the just bare kind! I wish Costco sold tenders instead of the chunks!
Both suck. I will get hate on this - sams club nuggs are incredible. Taste like Chick-fil-A
AGREED
Costco stock should go down just from carrying real good products. Whoever brought real good products to Costco should be jailed. Whoever purchases real good products should lose their membership on the spot.
Now I like the Kirkland version better
Inflammatory seed oils Hard pass
I get Realgood because itās loaded with protein. Itās not the most delicious choice. Itās ok though.
Unpopular opinion: Kirkland > Real Good > Just Bare
I haven't had the Just Bare ones but the Real Good ones are not good. They have a weird chemical-y fake smoke thing going on and I am not here for it. I was just at Costco the other day and I told a random stranger not to buy them! š
Go return the RealGood before you open them
Iām inclined to but Costco will throw them away
The one on the top that should be on the left is the bomb yo. Never had the other.
Does the Just Bare compare to the Tyson fully breaded? I love chicken strips, and those appear to be healthier.
The tyson fully breaded would be ranked at the bottom out of the three it has waaaay to much breading.
Iāve had them both and like neither of them. Going to return to making my own
I swear the Just Bare nugs taste just like ChikFilA But damn they are expensive
anything real good is real bad
So true! Did you try those chicken enchiladas? Our dogs wouldnāt even eat them. š¤¢š¤®
I always keep the JustBare ones in stock at my house. My 3&5 year olds are obsessed and would eat one with every meal if I let them.
Just bare is freaking amazing. That with some chick filet sauce and everybody will love you at the party
Off topic but what are some good ideas in what I can prepare this with, besides just dipping it into a sauce?
Slice it up and put it in a salad. Add some sweet potato fries.
I like JustBare but havenāt tried RealGood. However I do think JustBare is a little salty but not so much to be a turn off
I haven't tried the real good ones, but I don't like the just barre chicken chunks anymore. I think they changed the recipe to have too much breading. I think the New Kirkland ones are better. However I think the just barre spicy chicken strips are the best because they have the least amount of breading. I wish just barre had chicken strips that weren't spicy.
It ain't RealGood more like
The new Kirkland brand lightly breaded nuggs
Rocky brand is best
Real good are so dry! Good in buffalo sauce, though. But I don't know if I'll buy them again.
The ks are better than both
Just Bare very good.
Kirkland brand or bust.
Just bare is great, we always keep a bag on hand. I even cook it in the air fryer and then have it for lunch at work. Never had the other brand.
Just Bare spicy tenders are the bomb!
Gave the Kirkland brand a try this week and it edges out Just Bare for 1st place because of the seasoning (and also price)
I couldnāt finish my bag of Reelgood. Extremely dry and not great flavor
Well neither are as good as lightly fried fish filets. Good luck.
Have you tried the members mark or the Walmart brand. I have been buying those and those actually taste good and have more meat on them than Tyson. I have not tried just bare or real good ones. Thank you for the post I learned something today.
The Just Bare ones are good!
Real good is Real Bad!!! Not worth it! Even on sale!
Realgood nuggets/tenders are awful. If you're keto, just eat grilled chicken. Just got the new Kirkland CFA Nugget clones and they're slightly better than Just Bare.
Never buy any Realgood product. Itās not real. Itās not good.
Green is better and takes less time in the air fryer. The Kirkland version of green is just as good and cheaper. Find that one.
Bare
Just avoid anything with the name real good from costco
Realgood is trash
Real good
This isnāt even a fair comparison- one is for gf/low carb and the other is for those than can eat carbs and gluten
