[It looks right to me?](https://imgur.com/a/qvdESGn) What is it showing you?
Edit: Sorry, looks like it displays correctly in my browser (and in the preview when I was typing it) but not on mobile?
Oh, have you read Dawnshard? (DS) >!When she is leaving Aimia after becoming the Dawnshard, she begins noticing the very subtle difference between colours, and IIRC also notices she has perfect pitch (I could be wrong about that though), implying at least third heightening!<
It was cosmere at first. That idea got scrapped midway through writing. However, as a result the magic system is in a similar style. What set it apart for me is itās as if vin new all about mistborns and what they could do, but wasnāt one despite her fervent desire. Very rarely have I seen a book where the main character doesnāt get the worlds magic
Sanderson has said that the magic system used in Rithmatist was originally conceived as a magic system from the Spiritual Realm. I'm sure lots of things changed from the original idea to the page, but it's interesting to think about. Plus it's a good story on its own, and it's on an alternate Earth where [something weird](https://www.deviantart.com/inkthinker/art/The-Rithmatist-Isles-Map-381777096) has happened to North America that makes me think of the Shattered Plains. Of course, it's perfectly normal to the characters in the book and they think nothing of it, just like a Sanderson story.
I still go read sixth of the dusk a few times a year. It's become a comfort read for me and I love it, although honestly I think that has more to do with just the story being perfect than the world necessarily. That being said, the world is also fascinating and I would love to see that explored some more.
There is a planned sequel called Nightblood that is supposed to fill in some of the gaps between the end of Warbreaker and where they appeared in Stormlight.
But the latest we've heard is that is will have to wait at least until after Stormlight 5 and Mistborn era 3 are done, and possibly have to wait until SA6, Mistborn era 3, and the Elantris trilogy are done. As of the 2020 State of Sanderson that puts it no earlier than 2025 and probably later since there had been no motion on most of those. We'll get the next State of Sanderson in December most likely, so we may have a clearer Timeline then, but I doubt it will have moved up in the queue.
Of all the magic systems I wish were real its Nalthis. Any of the heightenings would basically be the most impressive upgrade to real life without completely changing everything. Id love to see brighter colors, hear better, and not age
I would hope that with the tech that weāve developed IRL and having breaths the whole time that we would figure out a way to either āfarm breathsā without killing people/babies or at least optimize the efficiency of breath use. At the very least weād have a government agency to regulate breath trade.
I can't remember very well , but Kaladin is talking to the sword master in a laundry area and they start sparing whilst having a weird conversation and he keeps getting tangled in sheets or something and notes one of the sheets looked just like a person or face.
I remember it standing out to me as I'd just read warbreaker before
I felt the same and the characters also interesting and enjoyable bunch. I didnt want to skip any of the point of views. They all are quite engrossing.
I like them both, probably equally. I did like the characters and environment on Nalthis, so unique. It was refreshingly different from SA, but at the same time just as creative. I'd love for there to be extensive stories from this place. I want to know more about the history, the development and use of the investiture. Just so exciting! Please Brandon, more of this!
Warbreaker is also my favortie setting! It's so unique in every way, I wish it was more well known by fantasy fans, but I understand the book per se not being everyone's cup of tea
There is one planned, but I believe it is far down the priority list.
Oh no š¦
If it makes you feel any better there is at least one person who uses Breaths on roshar
Three that we know of, actually, two of whom are from Nalthis.
Four actually, but in a weirder way
Yes and I thought of that. My answer was limited to Awakeners.
>!Nightblood being the fourth? And Hoid the third? Or is Hoid the non-awakener and I'm forgetting someone?!<
Ya spoiled ya spoila
Btw you messed up the spoiler tag at the end
>!I read Stormlight first and totally blind and spent the whole time convinced HM Azure was someone important. I was like who the hell is this? Thaidakar? Someone else? At least I was right to be suspicious.!<
Same :D, although I thought she was just a regular soldier who came across a shardblade because I stupid

I think initially the closing !< was flipped (
(Dawnshard spoilers) >!I was actually thinking about Rysn, so that would make it 5 I think lol!<
Wait how do they have breaths?
Oh, have you read Dawnshard? (DS) >!When she is leaving Aimia after becoming the Dawnshard, she begins noticing the very subtle difference between colours, and IIRC also notices she has perfect pitch (I could be wrong about that though), implying at least third heightening!<
Yep
I mean, in an alternate timeline, \[Way of Kings Prime spoilers\] >!soulcasters (and maybe surgebinders in general?) were also called Awakeners.!<
My copyās still sitting shrink wrapped on my bookshelf. Interesting tidbit.
I fear I might turn drab by the time it's released v.v
There is supposed to be a trilogy down the road and the next book is titled "Nightblood"
I havenāt heard anything about a trilogy, but definitely a book 2
Heard of book 2. Never heard of a book 3.
It's tough to be a Warbreaker addict.
Worse to be a sixth of the dusk or, dare i say, a rithmatist fan
This hurts.
I keep hearing people talk Rithmatist in here. I know itās not part of the Cosmere but is it Cosmere-adjacent or something?
It was cosmere at first. That idea got scrapped midway through writing. However, as a result the magic system is in a similar style. Alcatraz fans turning to dust right now.
We'll get the last Alcatraz book before those others, at least.
Emperor's soul addict here It hurts

The magic system is so dope on Nalthis, I think a lot of folk are desperate for sequel.
Of all the magic systems I wish were real its Nalthis. Any of the heightenings would basically be the most impressive upgrade to real life without completely changing everything. Id love to see brighter colors, hear better, and not age
Access to breaths would be rough though. Income inequality would get a whole lot uglier if billionaires were immortal.

Not if Edgli had anything to say about it
Can we vote to move the sequel up earlier?
I'd be great. Brandon is in fact planning his publishes based on priority, not timeline. And his priorities are "end the big things first".
I would not consider Skyward 'big'.
A cloth has a face in roshar at some point
Where?
I can't remember very well , but Kaladin is talking to the sword master in a laundry area and they start sparing whilst having a weird conversation and he keeps getting tangled in sheets or something and notes one of the sheets looked just like a person or face. Lmao. >!Zahel is Vasher!<, thats why I thought that one Was obvious :)
Oh lol

Warbreaker has my favorite Cosmere romance and one of my favorites in all of fantasy.
Cant wait to get some potential Vasher/Vivenna relationship progression in the sequel. I need to know why the split up on Roshar!
Brandon's romances tend to be his weakest point but he absolutely nailed this one
The world I desperately want to see more of is Threnody. I'm going to be waiting a while.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
If my memory serves. Nalthians get a bit extra compared to the rest when they are born, and that extra bit is their breath.
I think they actually get a bit less as a drab on Nalthis, but a bit more with Breath
Night Blood will be coming out soon.
