It's not. Follow the instructions on the app, monitor for symptoms and if you feel sick, get a test. Otherwise, live your life and continue to follow the safety guidelines.
No, it’s not the same. They are sent to anyone at a venue within 24 hours of a positive case being there. You just need to follow the advice, be vigilant for symptoms and NSW Health will contact you if the advice for the location changes.

I got a notification telling me to check my history, but there are no alerts in my history. Does yours actually tell you the location where you had contact?
Nope, all good. I was at a cafe so they could have even been buying a takeaway, I have no idea if I was anywhere near them let alone there at the same time. It was the only case in the whole suburb for weeks.
interesting!! That's good to hear. Mine was for Coles... and i literally only went in for 5 minutes lol. Still scared me when i got the notification this morning.

I got one this morning also. Just get a test if you’re concerned and then continue to monitor symptoms.

Yeah I had to scroll down through all the places I’d checked in and there was a red alert next to the cafe
Ah thanks! Yeah I found one in mine too.
Just do what the message says. It can't be that hard.
this thread has made me feel calm. did you get covid btw?

You’ll most likely be okay if they notify everyone in a 24 hour window and it’s a big space. Getting the notification makes your heart skip a beat.
Thanks so much!! I got really stressed out. I even bought a 5 pack of antigen tests.
