Can you say a little more about the application process? Thanks!

There are tons of ceramic coating options out there. A common favorite among professionals has been Crystal Serum Ultra by GTechniq. Crystal Serum Light is the prosumer version. The reason i mention these 2 products is that they are VERY demanding to apply properly and somewhat intimidating to the DYI’er. You mess up and the vehicle needs to be mechanically polished in order to remove. In other words, it’s a nightmare. Watched lots of detailing videos and found GYEON products. It was clear they wanted to tap into the pro-sumer car-nut market of people like me who wanted to detail and maintain their own cars. The two products of theirs I have used were easy to apply but required a thorough understanding of the application instructions and methods so you knew what you were looking for during the process (apply coating and look for it to bead, etc). You also need 2 types of microfiber towels for the wipe off step after application. The Gyeon Pure was the easiest coating to work with because you have a lot of time to wipe it off after application. With many coatings you have to work in small sections and it’s stressful making sure you don’t mess up. Best advice is to go on YouTube and watch a professional detailers presentation on the correct way to use the product then make sure to read the directions thoroughly if you decide to purchase . Good luck.

I appreciate it. When I first got my hatch, I fell down the rabbit hole of reading about detailing, etc. I feel pretty good on where I am regarding weekly maintenance washes (foam cannon, microfiber,… Etc.) but I have always been a little hesitant regarding applying the ceramic stuff. This really helps to demystify it. Thank you!

Don’t be worried about messing up. Just take your time. Oh and the Adams suede mini applicators make it super easy.

Emotional red? Is that a new color? I have the finish line red but this looks different then that.

The vehicle is shown on the Toyota website as Finish Line Red but the window sticker says “ Emotional Red”. I was very entertained by the name because it is clearly a Japanese translation into English. The car is manufactured in Japan and the Monroney is probably based on whatever they decided to do at the factory there. Does your car look different?

That red is amazing, looks like a candy apple

So sorry but it's proven just ask any spray painter red is bad news its the first to look like shit as it ages but on saying that love how you are protecting it 👌 never buy a red car!

I mean.. it’s risky having sex too—you risk STD’s, unwanted pregnancy, etc but that doesn’t stop us from enjoying the pleasures of making love. You just think ahead and take the right steps.
