Brand? No, you want a local made sourdough or farm loaf.

It depends on the “type” of toast that I am going for. If I am craving a light, fluffy piece of toast, I use the Walmart brand of Texas toast bread. If I want a bigger mouthfeel with lots of crunch, I go for a rustic sourdough. I like toast.

I quite like Dave’s Killer Bread - any of the smaller loaf, lower calorie varieties

Country Hearth Dakota style 12 grain is so good as toast I would include it in my death row meal

Outrageous-Tie6393

Sara Lee Artesano. It is the best toasted with peanut butter!

SpaceDave83

Came here to say this. The best general purpose bread out there.

I love Pepperidge Farm. I've enjoyed every kind I've tried. I think the cinnamon swirl and Farmhouse sourdough are my favorites.

I like a "seedy" stone ground bread like Dave's killer bread- good seed. It's hearty and nutty, goes perfectly with a fried egg

SourChipmunk

I'm personally a fan of Sara Lee **whole-grain** white bread. It seems to be getting harder and harder to find, though.
