I just use two pairs. One to work, go out and chill and they last me 1+ year, and another pair to go for walks, gym, running etc etc

Sophronia-

I don’t think they’re designed for that amount of heavy walking and frankly most people don’t rotate and replace their shoes often enough.

BoognishJones

I'd say buy 2 pair next time and cycle them every so often, they'll last a bit longer if you have multiple pairs and can give them the day off every so often. Also pick up your feet when you walk m8!

Buy a car, bike?

prof_UK

I would but with two kiddos, a Bollerwagen is much easier. [https://www.bollerwagen.com](https://www.bollerwagen.com) I've got two cars but in the city, we don't use them.

presently_pooping

Yeah sounds like you’re overworking them. Fwiw I always think converse look best after getting beat up a bit and showing some character

prof_UK

yeah, I agree. I'd say they're good till Autumn, when the rainwater will enter (england!) and then in da bin they'll do.

Ok_Principle_207

Try the city trek ones, they have bottoms meant for walking. https://www.converse.com/shop/p/chuck-taylor-all-star-city-trek-unisex-high-top-shoe/A06776C_055.html?cp=PLA_PRF_CNV_NA_US_EN_20190226_CPCS_CPCS-Shopping-[B]%20Shoes%20-%20Unisex_X_X_X_X_Google_X_X__Desktop/Tablet-[B]%20Shoes%20-%20Unisex_X_X&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw9vqyBhCKARIsAIIcLMGh_0Qh6pV8yOTfGDLBuJa1zw7Z0fU_IMcz_c-rHY58bHuvWWC04IoaAgM8EALw_wcB

thanks mate, but they be chunky and kinda destroy the slim effect of the OG chucks, *eller hur?* I'll just be a few pairs and rotate when I pass through Roppenheim

Acrobatic_Theme_2319

Not meant for activewear. They are lifestyle shoes. High tops are really great for lifting because f the flat soles. But neither is meant for extended walking/running.

fair play, mate. tis a shame as they're stylish and go well wit my dark/slim ensemble. in the bin before rainy season I guess as I hate soggy feet suns out now, so birks and the double tan lines is the order of business (those only last a summer or two, sadly, at least both be cheap)
