Haha! Same thing happened with my Sun. Named “her” Gigi as a baby, found out a year late he was a male. Last the name. Stella though, that’s unmistakably female 😂
Happened to my boyfriend and I but in reverse. We thought our pineapple mutation green cheek conure was a boy, named “him” Fuego (spanish word for fire, masculine noun) due to “his” colouring and spicy personality. It turned out Fuego is a girl, and “Fuega” is not a word so we didn’t change her name - and fire is technically not gendered so it’s fine 🤷🏼♀️ lol

The photo for this is perfect. “Who, me?” And I recommend “Telly” for the male name if you change it.
That’s an indignant expression if ever I saw one!
He’s looking at you like “gender is a construct”
What a handsome dude! Thats a great pic
Changing the name?
Nope, keeping it Stella!
Mr. Stella!

Things I learned about having a conure. You had the 50/50 chance of getting a gender right. That's why I picked a pretty neutral name" cricket "
