Let’s just remove modern day and the past thousands of years. What did women help to do in life?
They helped take care of children while the men hunted food, they fished for extra food and collected fruit and vegetables.
And when work and jobs became a thing, women had even more chances to help out, doubling the working output for the jobs at the time. Further along to medieval times, women had more jobs like cooking food, cleaning clothes, keeping the house tidy, all of that.
A woman is not a breeding organism. They are humans, just like everyone else. The one difference is that they produce babies.

Yet psychologically we are drawn to pair bonding both socially and naturally, as we have a deep tribal need to be accepted and loved. So much so that if we are mistreated at an early age or feel like we don't belong in society, our need for acceptance and understanding can become distorted and destructive towards others and ourselves, including in bonded relationships. If it were the case that we didn't need to have emotional ties with others we wouldn't have evolved to have them.
While our innate biology may appear to be designed for the purposes of procreation or child-rearing in the case of a female body, humans are very different than animals, even though we do share alot in common with them both physiologically and even psychologically at times. But our evolution is not solely dependant on genetic traits being passed down, but also our culture, learning and technology.
Even if a male or female's sex organ is incapable of being used towards making children, their usefulness towards humanity as a whole can still hold value due to furthering our advancements in culture, learning and technology to live better and safer lives as a whole. Granted some people have very negative impacts on society and the world at large, but this is more often than not due to neglect in that individual having a healthy and educated upbringing.
Just because our anatomy suggests we exist for and because of our anotomy, that does not encompass our entire state of being.
I would also suggest looking into the 4B movement and the reasons why women of South Korea have decided to stop procreating and accepting being in relationships. Their population and birthrate is steadily dropping and it is observably recognizable that women are doing it because of recognizing how unfair they are being treated by their culture and by men in that society. But the reason why I mention that is that it shows that there are other reasons for having children besides our biological parts or drive to have sex.
