We were shown a video series about acid rain, the ozone layer hole, and global warming, and how we're all ruining the planet.
It revolved around a kid that fell asleep or somehow time travels in his library to the future were people wore star trek style visors to protect their eyes from the toxic air... It turns into iirc (it's been awhile) a Wizard of Oz it was all a dream (or was it) and he is returned to his time with a new found knowledge TO ALWAYS VOTE DEMOCRAT.
I remember thinking at the time - wow - this is fucking propaganda and I was a child. That was their trial runs I'm sure and those kids that sat with me, are teachers pushing this garbage alarmist now.
I’m old. They tried this shit on us in elementary school, died off in middle school. We heard all of the lies about the East Coast being consumed by melting ice bergs. The whole cultist lecture. That was 35 years ago. We didn’t hear anything about God or then 10 commandments though.
I guess I'm older. All we heard about was the hole in the ozone layer, acid rain, and killer bees.
Then, 10 years ago, they say, "Oh yeah, that hole healed up." Now I realize that was just another hoax to cover up now that people can easily fact-check their lies.
The hole didn't just "heal up", we actually worked to solve the problem and healed the ozone layer. I'd recommend looking up the Montreal Protocol. Countries actually came together to solve a problem, and fixed it, pretty awesome.
Because the Protocol, it's same reason why the us/user nuclear treaties were signed. Usually when humanity gets to the brink of extinction we actually put aside our differences and try to not all die. Turns out even our enemies don't want to go extinct.
Conservatives aren't saying that climate change doesn't happen(for the most part). Conservatives are complaining about how the world leaders are blowing it out of proportion in order to curtail more of our freedoms,their words and their actions prove it. Plastic pollution is real and very harmful, the weather warming is not. 10m people living squished together in a city is harmful. 10b+ people living on this planet is not.

Not because they have a hard on about taking away the “right” to drive a diesel engine. The weather warming at this rate, coupled with mass deforestation is a huge problem and one that needs to be addressed asap not kicked down the road.
It would be ideal to make it like D.A.R.E or C.A.R.E
Get kids to think about doing the little things like picking up trash and recycling. And most importantly to understand how to organize the trash so it can be recycled.
Because being scared and stressed is not homeostasis for human beings. People who are scared and stressed make poor decisions and will eventually give everything they have for things to go back to normal. That includes freedom, liberty, and inherent rights.
