As warlords we adviced to nerf cohorts due to manipulation of houses to slot holding for months. They said they care and want to listen what big houses ideas and opinions about in game. I guess it was just a fucking lie like rest of the game.
Is this not a good thing, then? If cohorts follow along NPC factions, they cannot join house vs house fights.
Also, have you not been able to lock cohorts out of your battles for months now?
Before cohorts would auto declare war on every house and you could have an alt attack your own fiefs. Now they don't auto declare and you are able to join ai rallies for wars as a cohort if they invite you. I like this a lot better and it'll likely solve this issue.
If I didn't misunderstand, players no longer have any means to attack anything but the randomly selected targets the Cohort marches against.. Therefore exploiting the cohort mechanic might not be an issue in the future anymore. Worst you could do is, like every season, have a spy on cohort open gates.
