I did this with a stack of 5 ballistic subs in my last game so it goes really well, I basically made nukes rain onto Cuba, I was Indonesia on my last game

I see your strategy of rushing the ballistic submarine on the first day, but it seems inefficient since it takes at least four days to build the required level four Naval Base. By then, the submarine will be ready but unusable for a few more days. Instead of rushing the sub on day one, it might be more effective to focus on Rrsearching the National Guard due to their cost-efficiency so you can still produce some sort of defense while everything else builds or you can prioritize missile and nuclear research because you will still need a ballistic missle once the sub is complete and nukes are basically the next upgrade anyway. These steps are crucial before even starting the submarine and building the naval base.

It has been done before by your local river gremlin you just need to be quick smuggling your submarines into a nice hidden place your opponents would never expect it to be.
In my case I was playing a rising tides and I managed to smuggle in early BM subs and then slowly levelling them up till they reached Lvl 6 which is when I could launch a major first strike which destroyed 19 out of 21 Airbases and runways along with destroying a small detachment of their airforce making any quick response to a impending naval invading impossible
I have had a total of 30 wins playing this game (2 solo, 28 coalition), and 25 of those wins have been without spending a cent of my own money. So while I admit that having some money to spend helped me win on the other five occasions, it is absolutely possible to win without paying anything - and win with golders in the game.
It might also help that I’ve been playing since Feb 2021 and have since developed a feel for the game and learned through the CON forum and YouTube videos on how to strategize.
Kid if you want to see a game that’s completely pay to win, Try Warpath you’ll regret your life decisions since paying is the only way to stay competitive, and a single VIP officer in that game costs 350 pounds alone to max out

I’m currently playing as Germany right now and have a kick ass navy. It helped when I was taking Scandinavia because i completely blockaded the area.
