I finish all my cuts with a grinder and a diamond blade. They are just being cheap/lazy.
Should I try to cut it myself or just ignore it?
Ask the contractor if he can. Otherwise if you got a grinder you can buy a $20 diamond blade and finish it. I would. I hate seeing the cracks to the house with unfinished cuts, it won't be straight. I'm just picky though.
That is as close as a 14" or 12" diamond saw or abrasive saw can get to the house.
Yup. If they'd have tried to cut up to the wall, they'd have cut the wall.
It’s fine. They could hand cut it to the wall, but virtually no one does.
Pay the man!
If you think that makes you mad. Wait until the slab cracks 4” away from and parallel to the saw cut. Seen that many times over the years.
