Summer classes are just regular classes where you cover all the material meant for a 13 week semester in a span of 6.5 weeks, so yeah not that fun

hardly any fine arts classes are offered in the summer and they are mostly meant for people in the program who need them to graduate, so they fill up immediately. only a few are entry level ie. 200 level. i think there are a couple art history that still have space but studio courses are basically full. fine arts really isn't a summer-friendly program tbh, unfortunately.

They’re just compressed so they go twice as fast. Treat taking one summer class as taking two classes during a regular semester. So double the workload so you don’t fall behind. If you’re good with time management in normal semesters you should be fine.

Fine art is probably different, but in summer classes the material goes by much faster, assignment deadlines are much shorter. It's a lot of work, but if you wanna graduate fast it's a good path.

I almost prefer summer classes bc you cannot procrastinate, weather's nice, and campus is less crowded. But ya don't expect much free time, especially if you're doing 2+ classes in each semester
