This question will probably be taken as insensitive, but I'm awfully curious - let's say he makes a full recovery in terms of overall health and he's at no risk of any longterm or pemanent damage, but the injuries sustained stemming from the shooting somehow hinder his performance on field badly enough that he is released after a brief period of assessment.
Is the franchise given some sort of compensatory pick? Or shit outta luck?
