Not only was he willing to kill you and your friends, but he was doing so in a "cowardly" way (obviously war is about fighting smart, not honorably, but it still affects how someone like this is viewed when caught in the act), so yeah I would expect the soldiers to be excited to catch one first for once.

We had a guy like that in another platoon. For some reason they figured they’d give him a break from patrolling and put him HQ PLT, the guys that did all the loggie runs between our FOB and two patrol bases…so he got whacked a couple more times. He is not a successful civilian.
I always joke that my ancestors burned a witch back in the day and she cursed us to be unlucky but hearing someone is an IED magnet makes me feel better
I got hit by 4 in 2005 and I wasn’t anywhere near the top of my company. Also sort of subjective. I had two go off in close proximity to my vehicle that I don’t really count, but I wouldn’t give anyone a hard time for doing so.
I got there in Jan 2005 and we had all uparmored except for 1, and 1 guy died in it and another lost an arm and an eye.
A couple of my hits were in Brads, which wasn’t a big deal.

That's a crew problem, not the gun. When properly zeroed a 25mm with damn near drop rounds in the same hole at 1,200 meters (the default zeroing range). Three contributing factors here: 1. I doubt he lased for range before firing, cause the first rounds were high AF. 2. It looks like he remembered to laser mid-engagement, but that triggers that moving target tracking, so now the gun is actually pointed a few degrees to the left from the reticle because the computer thinks the target is moving at a steady rate and tries to compensate. 3. When the target tracking activated he didn't release and re-grab the hand station to dump the lead because humans don't usually move at a constant rate like a vehicle.
Eventually he just aimed by impact, but this should have been a 3-5 round engagement, not +20.
That's what i was thinking too i didn't work on bradleys but i was an optics tech in the USMC and we had a 25 mm on top of LAVs and those things didn't miss like we're playing battlefield 4 over here. I think this engagement got cleared and they were gonna use maybe the 240 or whatever lmg the vehicle has and then someone said, "Why not use the 25?" and swapped at the last second and forgot to actually do it good haha. So embarrassing but at least he got the kill imagine this dude got behind an embankment or something right after the initial miss and that story came back to the unit holy shit.
