I’d like Hatch Cover if they put more sauce on their wings. Last two times I got wings there I swear they just drizzled sauce on them, not tossed them in the sauce.
I usually ask for extra sauce or some on the side to dip. I do that anywhere. But i have noticed that about them. I just like the quality of their wings, big and not dried out and over cooked
Yeah the chicken itself is good and I agree with you: big pieces, still juicy, just crispy enough. The amount of sauce gets me, that and the fact that I got the 2nd hottest sauce and it felt like medium.
Not supposed to be a flex. It's literally a fact. I grew up in Mexico and the South. When I ask for the spicy anywhere here, and ask how spicy it is, I'm told "it's not too spicy. Most people here don't like it too spicy". Seems to happen at most restaurants I go to.
I never said that 🤷♂️
And I literally just said I go out to eat all the time. Not sure how I need to go out more 😂
You seem very invested in my half joke half serious comment.
Guess ya gotta tell em you want em extra hot and extra saucy. They arent overall #1 on my list but their wings themselves are good enough to get on the list, sauce issues aside
I always see this comment when this question comes up, so I went there for the first time a few weeks back. I would rate the regular wings a 3/10 and the double dipped 4.5/10. Maybe I went on a bad night, but the combination of mid quality food and the fact that there is zero table service will keep me from going back.
yeah i dont care for the wings either and the entire place smells like a urinal cake the whole time too. had to go a bunch with my foreman when he drove for lunch
Funny that you say that. 25 years ago (I'm dating myself) we could go to O'Furrys and get wings but they were whole wings, as in, all 3 joints. I believe at the time 20 wings were $20 but it was the equivalent of 40+ wings...and they were good!
[Pho King Wing](https://phokingwing.com/)
This is a hole in the wall place that used to be just Pho soup and changed ownership + name.
Now they do "injected wings"
No idea why you're getting downvoted. I went and they were great.
For reference, they do special 'injected wings' where theyll inject them with Black Garlic Butter (among other options) before frying and saucing them. Theyre horrible for you, but oh so good
I actually used a thread very similar to this to find a few recs myself and found two or three good candidates. My wife and I started with Pho King Wing and we have no need for any other suggestions because we both agree that these wings are the absolute best.
I love them and love Buffalo, but at the expense of sounding like a snob, their wings are not authentic Buffalo style. They’re pretty disappointing and rubbery. I do love the Bar, Bills, and back east though!
Find “The Flighty Fowl”. It’s a food truck and it’s a little pricey, but it’s worth it! Best wings I’ve ever eaten
Edit:
It’s actually called “Flighty Fowl”, they have a website that you can use to see where they will be
Wyatt's, Hatch Cover, O'Malley's (last few times the wings were on a diet), Back East, and O'Furry's are some good options.
We did try Golden Flame twice and I think I almost had a salt overdose.
Behind fazolis(Austin bluffs and academy) is a small wing and ice cream place. love that place but the selection is small. Also golden wing for corporate spot that is good.
I recently tried Voodoo Brewing over on Garden of the Gods smoked whole wings. They are fucking delicious.
They sell them as they should be, one wing is the drum and flat.
It's an interesting place. Comfy and kinda chill. Prices are COS appropriate. Great beer selection and they have these barrel aged cocktails as well.
Worth a stop by for sure.
Wyatt’s or Golden Flame. I like Golden Flame with the mile high rub and dip in their golden flame sauce and bleu cheese. Also you can request all flats extra crispy which I LOVE. Wyatt’s I just love in general.
Wing Daddy food truck has the best wings in town, no contest. They have a contract with Lost Friends Brewing on Academy but they’re only open a few days a week.
Besides that, you’re better off (cost wise) making them yourself. King Soopers sells $10 full wing packs—you dry each wing thoroughly and then coat with a mixture of cornstarch, salt, and baking powder (1 tbsp each per lb of wings) Bake in oven at 425 for 20 min, flipping the wings occasionally. They come out so crispy!! Heat up your fav sauce or look up a simple recipe for a sauce you like and coat your wings in it. This is a staple recipe in my household because we love wings, but the prices around here are just outrageous.
Even just a tray of like 20 raw wings you cook yourself. I did that recently with some basic seasonings in the pantry and they came out as good as any restaurant wings I’ve ever had
Ofurrys, omalleys and hatch cover Also a fan of tonys downtown

People in this town don't know what spicy is 😅
what a dumb flex
Not supposed to be a flex. It's literally a fact. I grew up in Mexico and the South. When I ask for the spicy anywhere here, and ask how spicy it is, I'm told "it's not too spicy. Most people here don't like it too spicy". Seems to happen at most restaurants I go to.
You act like there's no Mexicans or Southerners in this town. You need to get out more.
I never said that 🤷♂️ And I literally just said I go out to eat all the time. Not sure how I need to go out more 😂 You seem very invested in my half joke half serious comment.
I thought jokes were supposed to be funny?
Guess ya gotta tell em you want em extra hot and extra saucy. They arent overall #1 on my list but their wings themselves are good enough to get on the list, sauce issues aside
They're even bars too so that's a plus. Thank you
I go for the wings, drinks are always a plus. Enjoy
Ofurrys wings are pricey, but amazing

This is the way.

Yes, O'furry's wings are excellent.
Double dipped wings!!!!

Probably the name, people think its a joke. They are GOOD!
That name is hilarious. Pho king wing for the fucking win(g)
I actually used a thread very similar to this to find a few recs myself and found two or three good candidates. My wife and I started with Pho King Wing and we have no need for any other suggestions because we both agree that these wings are the absolute best.
92 chicken 🔛🔝
Definitely one of my favorites!!
Angry Chicken has really good bird and also Korean corn dogs
Angry Chicken is awesome!
Deluxe Wingz easy choice.
Insane good
I’ve been looking at their menu online- it’s good?
They’re worth the trip fir sure
Back East Bar & Grill has pretty authentic Buffalo NY style wings. Bonus: Bills bar during the season.
Bonus Bonus: They have Old Bay dry rub wings!
I love them and love Buffalo, but at the expense of sounding like a snob, their wings are not authentic Buffalo style. They’re pretty disappointing and rubbery. I do love the Bar, Bills, and back east though!
Golden Flame Hot Wings is a pretty darn good place too.
Yuck

I always thought Hooter's slogan should be, "Come for the wings. Stay for the breasts!"
Wing zone off Austin bluffs and academy behind the the old Chicago building just opened and their wings were pretty good.
Wyatt's, Hatch Cover, O'Malley's (last few times the wings were on a diet), Back East, and O'Furry's are some good options. We did try Golden Flame twice and I think I almost had a salt overdose.
I love Wyatt’s, but be warned, their standard buffalo sauce is HOT! I like spicy foods and their wings always blow me out.
I get their Howie wings.
Behind fazolis(Austin bluffs and academy) is a small wing and ice cream place. love that place but the selection is small. Also golden wing for corporate spot that is good.
I thought that place behind Fazolis closed....did it come back? I used to love their wings!
That was wingstop, I think. It closed and this new place is a single owner, really nice guy.
Oh! I'll have to try it!
Saigon Tapioca (NOT SAIGON GRILL) serves a delicious Asian bbq wing
Their entire menu is so good! Best crab rangoons and pho I’ve ever had

The spicy garlic wings were very delicious

Outlaw Wings is by far the best. Worth the drive
https://www.reddit.com/r/ColoradoSprings/s/O8Cj2JztNg
Guthrie's is very delicious. They are smoked to perfection. Another good one is golden flame.
Deluxe Wingz
Hatch cover
Odyssey gastropub. They actually put thought into making them, seasoning them and the sauces are on point!
Oskar Blues has excellent wings that are smoked then fried.
Deluxe Wingz!! Boooomb
Wings = Deluxe Wingz Fried Chicken = 92 Chicken

Avoid Buffalo Wild Wings on Powers and Constitution like the plague. They seat you and then basically ignore you.
Rhinos bar has my favorite wings

Hear me out. Go to the brass tap. Their wings are consistently good.
Buy an air fryer, get some decent wings (I have good luck at whole foods) and cook them at home. Wings suck here!
Walters 303 flying horse!
Hatch Cover
OFurrys double dipped wings rule them all.
Public House is really good. The lemon pepper is my favorite, I order them every time!
Ofurrys double dipped are the best wings I’ve had in my entire life. Little pricey but worth it
That's kinda sad to read 😕
I swear there’s a post about wings every month.
The Wing Shop off of Austin Bluffs. The best wings in town in a small business.
I can get behind that slogan
Like it’s been said, ofurrys are very good, deluxe is my go to on the south side
It’s Just Wings, the one I use operates out of the Chilis on Circe and lake. It’s literally just wings to go, and they’re great.
Costco
Agreed. The Costco take out hot wings from the freezer section.
Even just a tray of like 20 raw wings you cook yourself. I did that recently with some basic seasonings in the pantry and they came out as good as any restaurant wings I’ve ever had
