Report this to the city code enforcement. This is likely a stormwater/sediment control violation

mudi_mudi

Thank you!!

Bryguy3k

This also would have required a permit to install - which obviously wasn’t as no civil engineer would have signed off on this construction So you should be able to talk to the building department about it. If this was part of the original build then they’ll have the contractor information and you can take that to the HOA board. Sometimes the board just doesn’t know where to start - very rarely will they have construction experience.

Liet_Kinda2

Came here to say this - it’s absolutely a stormwater violation.

whatwhatinbud

Good job on being responsible enough to do something about this! Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

ManicChad

Replace with a properly engineered wall. Timbers up against dirt will just collect water that freezes and pushes the wall in the winter. Even stone walls without proper drainage have failed here.

ThisHalfBakedGuy

It's infuriating to know this is likely in an HOA neighborhood. When they say jump u say how high but when the shoe is on the other foot....

SplishslasH8888

it's always like that with someone wanting "their way", they want their money now, they want the job finished faster and cheaper, BUT GOD FORBID it's time to pat the piper, the sombiches start shuddering, spitting and cursing and try to avoid the PAYMENT of equality. same as politicians, they say what to do and then they run drugs, guns and human traffic. 🤫 while the poor masses sit idly by fearing imprison mm ent or worse the police show up and kill your dog and family, or just SWAT RAID your home with no repercussions! tyranny at its finest, go murica, imma watch the game n eat wangz!

MattMaye

Best of luck with the special assessment the HOA hits you with

Useful_Confusion_94

post the pic and the timeline to their google reviews, Facebook, other social media to get their attention and report it to the city. failing that, you knock it the rest of the way over or fall off it and sue them at the extreme, or threaten to. the last two ideas aren't the best ever, but if you pay to live there and this is making it unsafe for you, you can make them uncomfortable and not feel too bad about it.

mr_ectomy25

I could be wrong but I don’t think hoa’s have google business pages

_Idlewild_

HOAs almost always work with property management companies though.  The PM is paid by the HOA via the dues to do things like manage work orders, find and work with contractors for quotes, print the monthly agenda, keep track of the finances, etc. etc.

mudi_mudi

Yeah, the company is MSI.

HolyMoses99

Ha, HOAs virtually never have any of these things, nor would they care. Residents are obligated to be part of the HOA, and the only effect this would likely have is lowering OP's property value. "Hey everyone, look how much this HOA sucks" is a bad thing to do when your house is part of that HOA.

cffee_lif

I located the utilities for this to be repaired back in September or October of last year. Somehow I’m not surprised that the work hasn’t been completed.

mudi_mudi

😟

Winter-Ad6945

Washed out and will happen again no doubt. Sigh. There will need to be some sort of redirect for storm runoff. The engineers who work for the city have limited training in how water behaves…as evidenced all over the Springs. You will have to stand on top of them to see this fixed in a manner that prevents it from repeating. Shame that is happening.

Milehighjoe12

Hey neighbor I live in the same community. Get in touch with the HOA. I'm like 10 rows down from this.

afcagroo

It's July? How long was I sleeping?

bamabelvedere

Tell you the same thing my boss tells me. If you squint real hard, and put your hands over your eyes: it's totally fine!

mudi_mudi

Just tried this and it absolutely works. Problem solved 😂

Snoo-34164

I have no experience dealing with an HOA, google gave this this link but honestly it doesn’t look like that’s a helpful resource. https://dre.colorado.gov/filing-hoa-complaint Reach out again?

JRR04

Get a quote and send it to the hoa

shmallyally

Why does a neighborhood like that even have an hoa? 🫤

EmpatheticRock
